This is the perfect hideaway for a couple who values a beautifully maintained and unique home away from home while in the Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP area. The home is tastefully decorated with local touches without becoming cluttered or too busy. The owners provide some thoughtful touches such as park guidebooks as well as an interesting selection focused on round homes. There’s a cute dining table to enjoy meals if the weather outside isn’t cooperating. There are three different spots to sit outside with coffee or a cocktail, wine or beer. Each one takes advantages of shade at different points during the day. The view of the mountains and trees surround you almost all the way around and the setting is very serene. All of the items you’ll need to cook should are in a well set up kitchen. There’s even a mixer if you decide that you want to do some baking (we didn’t because burning the yurt down would have been a faux pas). Everything is tidy and organized; we kept it that way and it really felt like home. There were chocolates in a dish by the bed as well as a bowl on the dining table with individually wrapped kind bars and cookies. Little touches really make this place stand out. Thank you to Richard and Jeanie for being AMAZING hosts and sharing their place with others. We will stay again next time we are in the area.

The amenities were top-notch, and it was evident that Richard and Jeanie had thoughtfully considered every detail to ensure a perfect stay. The property itself is wonderful. It’s in a quiet neighborhood far from the traffic. They had everything you needed, including things I didn’t think of. I appreciated the notebook where they had the history of Three Rivers and included recommendations in the area that we could enjoy.

Great views and what a fun house. The host had thought of everything and even had a things you may have forgotten basket (toothbrush, etc.). The house has a deck and a patio with a BBQ. We didn't really use it since we were there for the National Parks, but it was a great way to relax after a day of exploring. Plus- 2miles from the Park Entrance. How can you top that?!

My husband and I spent eight nights in June in this beautiful house. I can only talk in superlatives about our experience. The house is spectacular! Everything, from location, views and unique architecture, to cleanliness, tasteful decor and comfort exceeded our expectations. Ash Mountain entrance to Sequoia NP is just a few minutes away, and we drove up Generals' Highway to spend our days hiking in the park (our favorite hike on this trip: Alta Peak, what a wonderful and rewarding challenge!), to get back home every evening, and still be surrounded by all the natural beauty. Cocktails on one of the porches, listening to the Kaweah River bellow and enjoying the views, or watching the stars. What a treat! The hosts were just as wonderful. Thoughtful and accommodating in every way. They were quick to respond to our questions, and even extended our cancellation period when it became uncertain whether the parks would reopen on time for our arrival. Overall, we enthusiastically recommend this house and hosts to other travelers. We certainly hope to be able to come back and stay here again! Thank you Richard and Jeannie!

We had a great stay at the Three Rivers yurt. Although the National Park was closed and many of the restaurants we also we still enjoyed the views from the yurt and the cleanliness of the kitchen. It has everything we needed and we had a very comfortable stay.

This was by far the best property my husband and I have rented for vacation over the years — everything was impeccable, the complete gourmet kitchen delivers as promised (we cooked every night!) and the attention to detail made the yurt feel like home. Loved it and hope to be back!

Everything is perfect! This property is one of the more unique we have ever stayed. Proximity to Sequoia NP was priority which is why we chose it. The Yurt Round house was an amazing stay. Sun filled spaces, beautiful views and everything you need at your fingertips. I mean “everything”!! Super comfortable bed which was much appreciated after long days of hiking in the park. We watched the sunset from the deck each night in absolute quiet surroundings. Definitely would stay again and highly recommend this property

Stayed here to celebrate our joint birthdays...we have been in many, many VRBOs and this is hands down one of the very best. Unique, comfortable, thoughtful, beautiful, peaceful...not to mention clean, tasteful & with killer views. Absolutely wonderful. And THANK YOU for the birthday wishes left on the kitchen counter for us and the champagne in the fridge! Recommended for folks who want a quiet, romantic getaway in a very unique home.

This was our 2nd time staying at Richard and Jeanie's yurt and it did not disappoint! We loved the beautiful views, well appointed kitchen, huge bathroom with washer and dryer and quiet location. There are so many extras that they provide that make it extra special and comfortable. They really thought of everything! This has been the nicest place we have stayed at so far and we hope to keep coming back to our favorite place!

In route to the yurt, we realized we didn’t have the access code to get in, so we reached out to Richard and Jeanie, who were very helpful in re-sending us the info on such short notice. The yurt was clean and open with a wonderful view! We had complimentary champagne waiting for us in the refrigerator, as well as several other amenities such as coffee, sweetener, creamer, and snacks. The bed was comfortable. The area was quiet. Would highly recommend the yurt!
