Great place for base and to hang out

La zona donde estaba la villa es increíble. La localización, las vistas desde la habitación insuperables. La casa esta muy equipada, Pedro es una persona muy accesible y amable. El desayuno completo. Se puede aparcar alrededor de la casa, y hay actividades cerca.

Como único punto negativo destacaría que no hay limpieza de habitación durante la estancia, simplemente hacen la cama mientras desayunas, pero no cambian las toallas o limpian. El desayuno es el mismo todos los días, y solo hay dulces.

Schöne Bed & Breakfast - Unterkunft in einem netten Fischereistädtchen

Tolle Lage direkt am Meer und ca. 500 m vom Fischereihafen entfernt. Frühstück ist gut. Die Glaubensprozession für den Schutzpatron der Fischer war schön. Ein sehr schönes, etwas verschlafenes aber doch ursprüngliches und authentisches Fischerstädtchen. Klasse !

Perfect place to be for a couple

We really loved everything! The hosts are very friendly, the breakfast was great (served on the terrace with stunning view) and you have a great view from your room. No private parking, but you can easily find free parking on the road nearby.

Pequeno-almoço bastante completo, com uma vista incrível. Colchão muito confortável. O Pedro é um excelente anfitrião, muito simpático e atencioso.

Great property and perfect location…quiet with beautiful views

Quaint property with fantastic ocean views from the room…room was great with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The owners were very pleasant and attentive. We couldn’t ask for a nicer stay…we’ll be back.

Amazing Bed & Breakfast with comfort, gorgeous views, and romantic setting!

The Bed & Breakfast is absolutely beautiful with comfortable rooms and common spaces to enjoy the water. There is also a wonderful living room to relax in or have a drink. The breakfast each morning was delicious and the woman helping us with breakfast was lovely. It was also very romantic!

There could have been a ceiling fan in the room. There could have been better suggestions for best places to eat in town or things to do.

Place to remember

Excellent location!!! Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean . Local beaches are short walk away. Fantastic breakfast, Rita and Pedro are wonderful hosts. We have had amazing time !

Waking up to the sound of the sea…

We recently stayed at A Villa by The Sea in Vila Franca do Campo, Sao Miguel, and it was amazing! The breakfast was fantastic, with a variety of fresh pastries to start our day. The views of the sea were absolutely stunning, and waking up to the sound of the waves was incredibly peaceful. The room is in the owner's house, so it's not completely isolated, but we felt welcomed. If you're looking for a beautiful retreat, we highly recommend A Villa by The Sea.

Dreamy, romantic stay at lovely Oceanside B&B

The location is AMAZING!! Absolutely stunning. We could see and hear the ocean from our bed. Lots of spaces to sit and relax and look over the sea. Also has access to a private beach area with tide pools. It is really a perfect location- private with exquisite views of the ocean. Lovely tanning deck and another covered deck with comfortable seating and tables to eat. Breakfast in the morning is also incredible. Homemade scones, jams and cakes. Fresh juice. It was really wonderful.

The breakfast on the patio was our favorite part of the stay each day. Pedro and Rita were so helpful - we had to get a tire fixed on our rental car and they went above and beyond to help us figure that out.

We absolutely loved our stay!

This is a truly wonderful place! Lovely hosts, delicious breakfasts, and great location, right by the ocean. I couldn't wait to open the window curtains every morning just to enjoy that gorgeous view right from my bed. The homemade breakfast was great and with that breathtaking views of the sea from the terrace it tasted even better. I'm still dreaming about that warm homemade scones with pineapple jam! I would love to come back one day :)

The bathroom felt a little cramped but that's just a tiny nuisance which had no impact on us enjoying every minute of our stay at Villa by the Sea.

Villa by the sea" - even the title is misleading.

Caution, stingers!! "Villa by the sea" - even the title is misleading. In reality this is a house in which three rooms are rented. Two below, with large windows to the sea but extremely economical, and one adjacent to the landlord's room, which was apparently used as a children's room in the past, with a small window and a tiny balcony located above the roof of the balcony below. The photos on the website are also misleading. The above specification is not explained there at all. Instead, pictures of all the rooms are stacked in it so that the real conditions at the place are actually hidden. We arrived and were led to this children's room and it was neither a villa nor with the sea, an adjacent room by the landlords', with a miserable view, a tiny refrigerator that is a mini-bar for a fee, and a cramped room that you can only sleep in, and you have to go up to it by narrow stairs. We are not young people, or backpackers, and of course this was not what we expected for the costly price of housing in their place. Our protests were met with an impenetrable wall, and the response was routine and indifferent, so it seems that we were not the first to fall victim to this sting. We didn't stay there even half an hour, but Pedro Arruda, the landlord, agreed to refund us only with half of the amount minus the commission of booking.com. We finally got about a third of the payment returned to us. The sting was complete. As to our vacation, we moved to a beautiful suite with a breath taking view in a nearby resort in a nature reservation, Pestana Bahia Praia Nature and Beach Resort. We enjoyed every minute there, with spacious living room, amazing balcony, and it costed us less than the tiny viewless room in the Sting Villa.

Amazing views and the friendliest people working there. The breakfast was also amazing with freshly made scones and the dinner they offered on the balcony was an unforgettable experience with amazing seasonal food.

Beautiful stay!

The location of Villa by the Sea is amazing. We would exit the room and have the ocean right in front of us. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable, with a lot of light, it was surrounded by a garden where we could walk and look at the sea. The hosts were very helpful and polite and they also accommodated our (last minute) request to have an earlier breakfast. The breakfast included home-made choices (granola, jams) which were really nice.

The only thing that could be improved is the size of the bathroom which was quite small.

The setting is spectacular, perched above the Atlantic Ocean. The hosts are very welcoming and the location near an excellent restaurant (Atlantico) and a wonderful beach made it special.

Parking is a bit challenging, but that is the nature of street parking.

The view! so so beautiful. the most beautiful beach. the room was very comfortable and cozy. very close to the port and restaurants. Great value for money.
