David and his sister were wonderful hosts, always friendly and with good advice to give in every situation. We cannot recommend them enough and will surely show up again if we come back to Tiberias.

As a private hostel, the boss is very nice and friendly to the guest. It is more or less like a family.
Location is not easy to access for an international backpacker who have no idea of Hebrew language.

David! Incredible host, so friendly and helpful. And the location was perfect, the room was clean and spacious. It was all perfect.
Nothing negative to say, very pleased with everything

The place is just perfect. Every minor detail is thoroughly thought. And the owners have just a perfect taste: they managed to take advantage of the most basic things to create a unique atmosphere. The place is exceptionally clean, the air conditioners are new and a tiny garden is extremely nice. You have a fridge in your room, there are 2 small kitchens at the hostel and a large supermarket is located nearby. Bus stops are really close and early in the morning (when it is not that hot yet) you can even get downtown by walking
A bit expensive, but in Israel everything is expensive

Couldn’t stay longer :)

David and Areala (possibly not the correct spelling) are extremely humble, warm and welcoming siblings. They embraced us like we were family returning home. They are beautiful people that would take that extra step to help your stay be faultless. I had an experience on my second day, as my hired car developed a fault and within 1 hour I had a replacement car within my possession. David swiftly guided me to the hire car representative in the area and communicated my problem to them. Apart from saying “hello” and “goodbye” to the staff I don’t recall saying anything else! David in a respectful manner took charge, he provided a swift, pain free, cost free resolution, so I could return to my holiday itinerary without much loss of time. What a service!
The food at David’s hostel was very tasty and much was given! The room sizes are moderate yet extremely comfortable and clean to standard a surgeon would be proud! We had a lovely balcony that offered us additional space. Israeli and Tiberias culture is strong in David’s and the lounge area mixes character with culture. There was parking immediately outside the hostel and a beautiful private garden.
The cost was extremely affordable and our prices were adjusted as we had one guest not attend. David made it clear that we would not bare any additional costs despite the late cancellation of this third person. During breakfast, David and Areala had provided us with sandwiches for a lunch therefore helping us save on daily costs. There was no additional fees!
The location of David’s hostel was slightly off the main roads entering into tiberias and away from the tourist trail. Yet close enough to swiftly exit the town. We walked close by to a supermarket and ATM without any problems. After travelling around tiberias I quickly realised David’s hostel is within an excellent location by car.

The hosts are amazing! They showed so much warmth, thoughtfulness, and kindness towards me. The accommodations were above my expectations and incredibly clean. I was so glad I stayed there at this hostel instead of the hotel where the rest of my tour group were staying. When I told them how nice it was, they were jealous! I was able to cook my own food- there are 2 kitchens for guests to use and so I saved money for not eating in restaurants. The stay at the David hostel was one of the delights of my trip that I will always remember. Thank you David and Ariela!
Nothing! I have nothing negative to say about David Hostel.

we booked a room with ensuite and small balcony. everything was as advertised. there was a large common area where breakfast was served. David was there to check us in and was available throughout our stay. He drove us to the bus station with bags when we departed.
the unavoidable uphill in Tiberius. we made regular use of public transport on way up.

David and his sister were very kind and welcoming. We felt at home from the moment we entered. They're interested in their guests and do everything to make them feel comfortable and welcome. The breakfast was incredible - typical Israeli, tasty and a lot! They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. Parking was easy.
We enjoyed our stay and we'd love to come again. Thank you!!

David and Ariela are extremely heartwarming and hospitable hosts! Their attentiveness to their guests' needs really make you feel at home. They are always willing to help out if you have any questions on travel & public transport information around the Galilee area. Most importantly, you can always have a great conversation with them and learn more about life in Israel and Tiberias!
The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with very good wifi. The common room was also nice for meeting and talking to other travellers staying in the hostel.
With 53 years of tradition, it really is an institute!

I spent two quiet and pleasant nights at the Hostel. David and his sister welcomed me with great care and did their best to make me feel comfortable. I remember that I arrived in Tiberias on Friday afternoon and everything on the street was closed due to Shabbat. At the hostel they were very kind and offered me dinner so that I wouldn't go to bed hungry. The rooms are simple, but very clean and comfortable. It is a Hostel with tradition and they know how to serve the client in the best way.
Everything can be improved, but I don't have any particular complaints.

David and Ariela were warm, helpful and accessible hosts. They made you feel welcome. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was exceptional. The cold, filtered water to fill your flask was something I appreciated. The lanai seating area was a pleasant feature, especially for morning coffee. While I didn’t need it, the option for breakfast, that could also be take-away, was a nice plus. David could give a hospitality training course for other lodging places.

David's hostel is really an oasis in Tiberias: the owners are super friendly and anywhere they can, they will help.
The rooms are spacious, very clean and well equipped. There is a common room and kitchen which is also very clean and well equipped. The hostel also has a very nice garden where one can enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.
All in all, we rate David‘s Hostel 10 out of 10 and we can absolutely recommend it.
Nothing - the best & friendliest place to stay in Tiberias.

We had a comfortable room with a balcony, windows and private bath. Parking was good. David and his sister were fantastic hosts providing us with tea, sweets and conversation. the best thing was the wonderful Israeli breakfast.
The streets coming and going can be tricky the first time due to narrow streets and odd angles due to the incline in Tiberias.

Wonderful Host David. He takes care of you. Very helpful with information. Coffee and tea were free of charge. The facilities like kitchen and common room are excellent. It was clean and cozy !
Location is the only thing that is not excellent. 20 min walking distance from the center.
