Location is perfect, 15 mins walk into Keswick. Powerful hot shower, good WiFi, very comfy bed, good radiators and heating, good washing machine and tumble dryer.
A bit dusty, cobwebs, fridge needed wiping down, freezer didn’t work, and no logs for fire.

Great location with easy access to walks around Derwentwater and Catbells which we loved. Easy stroll into Keswick for shopping too.
Warm and cosy property, well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Also nice and quiet.
Very steep stairs to bedrooms would not suit everyone - not a problem for us though.

Great location, lovely walks into Keswick, Braithwaite and up into mountains. Cottage was clean and well maintained (door in lounge needs new hinge). Bathroom was small but had a fab shower. Decor upstairs was really nice with beatrix potter pictures and ornaments in the small room. Ample storage space for clothes and dressing table in double room.
Chairs in the kitchen were so big we couldn’t get our legs under the table. Cushions in living room looked a bit scruffy and in need of replacing. No recycling facilities so had to make two trips into Keswick to recycle. Outside Waste bin was already full when we got there and full of flies so we struggled to get our waste in there. No instruction on when bin went out for waste to be picked up. A clothes drying rack would have been useful as although there’s a drier it wasn’t suitable for some clothes and it rained a bit so unable to hang outside.

Lots of good points. A lot of care and thought has obviously gone into the restoration of the cottage. It is very attractively decorated with beautiful curtains and blinds and lots of lovely touches. Lots of Beatrix Potter touches in the second smaller bedroom with very pretty white wooden single size wardrobe. It is very cosy although I am not sure how efficient the storage heaters would be in the colder months. I did not use the log burner but could have done with a bit more heat in the evenings towards the end of the week which was noticeably cooler (end of September).
Free WiFi via Coast and Country reaches the cottage. The cottage is listed as not having WiFi. It was a bit hit and miss at times but largely ok.
Very quiet and peaceful location. No passing traffic at night. Lovely mountain views just visible from bedroom upstairs.
Very close to lots of lovely walking routed and short cut into Keswick. Lovely walk to Lingholm Estate with cafe and walked vegetable garden alpacas and lake walk. All lovely. Food and drinks in cafe are first class.
No spare toilet roll and not informed beforehand that had to supply my own, otherwise would have brought some spare.
Cooker could do with a good clean. Found grey hair trapped on knobs at front plus eyelash(!?) Where somebody had obviously bent down too close to the oven.
Dirty baking tray inside oven.
Mug with brown ring stain in cupboard.
A lot of dust on floors just under sofas.
Recycling and rubbish bins out at the back had obviously not been emptied in a while. Not clear which day was bin day as lots of other bins on driveway up to cottages also full and over flowing all week while I was at the cottage.
