A weekend away
This property provides everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Sitting on the verandah, looking at the view, reading, enjoying some wine, very relaxing. The neighbours roosters are ready for the pot. They will ensure you get an early start.

Great location/stay but don't book through this site
Perfect location for wineries and lovely peaceful views off the deck however do not under any circumstances use HomeAway to book, contact the owners direct if you can. We're still waiting for our security bond back 1 month later and they are saying it could be another few months. The owners who are great had no issues with us and it is simply this site using covid as an excuse to keep your money as long as they can and probably hope you forget. Poor.

Quiet getaway
We were looking for a quiet place to relax with our pets for a couple of nights and we were not disappointed. Lazing on the balcony in the afternoon, with a soft breeze coming through, it was wonderful. Mobile reception can be a bit low, so prepare to be off grid.

Broke weekend away
Although it is a little out of Broke, I would recommend staying here for the quiet and beautiful surrounds. Sitting on the deck at sunset is a highlight and the comfortability of the propery is good as well. a short drive to Broke or Pokolbin as well and the amenities are well kept.

Excellent place to totally relax and unwind, so peaceful, with beautiful views and plenty of wineries to visit. The house has everything you need, very clean and the outside deck is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning cuppa in the sun or a well deserved glass of wine in the afternoon sun. Brilliant pet friendly property, our 2 dogs love the open space. This is not our first visit to Broke Village Hideaway and won’t be our last. The property owners are really easy to deal with. Highly recommended!

Great little spot and nice little house. Probably worth warning guests about all the work involved before taking their money. Wasnt planning on doing housework on the last day of my holiday. Before you leave you will need to:Strip your own bedVacuum the floors Wipe down the benches (bring your own cloth as none are provided)Wash all the dishes and put them away in cupboards.Take the rubbish to the binNot to mention the $100 cleaning deposit they withdraw from your account to make sure you do these things. Not really worth it Im sorry. Uncomfortable mattress, one toilet drips all night so you cant sleep, the others seat is coming off, shower in 2nd bathroom floods and there is no mop to clean it up.

Value for money
Basic accommodation in a rural setting. Enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the outdoors area. Adequately equipped. Bed was a bit hard. Would have been nice to have some shampoo and tissues.

Relaxed and Refreshed
We went to relax and chill out. So peaceful and the view was magic. The house is on poles so sits high and you have a great view of the hills around. Everything need is there. You just need food and some wine from the local vineyards, only 20 minutes away. Spa bath is fantastic.
We had a wonderful relaxing time, listening to the rain (what a welcome sight) and will definitely return.

A very quiet hideaway
We really enjoyed this escape - and it was an escape. There is not much to do in Broke, and that's exactly why we chose this property. It forced us to wind down and just stop for a couple of days. If that's what you're after, then this is a lovely little cottage. The bath is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. It would have been helpful to know that there isn't any milk provided (even a couple of UHT packs) for a cuppa upon arrival. We had to head out straight away for some supplies. We love the Hunter, and this is a property just away from the tourist trail where locals are very happy to greet you and you can seriously stop and smell the roses.

Convenient, well located and pet friendly property that met our needs

Quiet, could use upgrade
Lovely quiet street, could use a bit of an upgrade though! Lounges and furniture quite worn, everything a little dated. Very very clean! Loved the spa bath! Super central, close to our favorite vineyard Mount Broke. Some landscaping would make the place absolutely awesome!

Pretty area
Place clean but had a few issues with lighting. Shower in second bedroom leaked water all into the toilet. Bathroom made for disabled but lots of stairs to get up into house. When I booked I asked if there was stairs and was told there was a few. A few is four. Way to many stairs if you are disabled or aged. Security light over the entry to stairs was not working at all. Looking at the guest book these issues were going on for way to long.

We stayed in Broke for a long weekend and can easily say it was one of the best gateways we have had
We stayed in Broke for a long weekend and can easily say it was one of the best gateways we have had in a long time. The house had great modern features and everything we needed to cook some meals and enjoy a relaxing stay. We went for a country feed at the cockfighter pub at Bulga. We had a parmijana and bangers n mash. The mash and gravy were to die for and the parmie was fantastic. We highly recommend dinner at the cockfighter, half day wine tour with Two Fat Blokes and horse riding with Hilltop Horse Riding. Thanks Paul & Margueriette for a great stay.
