We had a very pleasant stay in our trullo (a typical round building with a conical roof) on the beautiful Masseria Sciaiani Piccola. We loved the hospitality of the farmer and his family (the farmer speaks French very well) and we were impressed by the huge biological swimming pool. So lovely to be able to swim in a pool without chlorine or salt. There were lots of pool side chairs to relax on and it never got busy at the swimming pool. There was a little bar where you could buy some drinks and snacks and the staff distributed at regular intervals some complementary fruit and juice. The pool was always open.
We loved our trullo, which was very spacious, had a big bathroom and a really authentic feel to it. We got provided with plenty of bath towels. It was nice and cool inside, we hardly had to use the air conditioning.
The breakfast was plentiful, but most of the breakfast options where sweet, whereas we prefer having a hearty breakfast. The pastry was really fresh though.
We also had dinner once on the beautiful property and enjoyed all the home grown produce the farm had to offer. We did our best to eat everything, but after the antipasti and the home made orecchiette, we simply had no room for the meat, which the owner had insisted we should try. Loved the primitivo wine!
Parking your car on the property is very easy.
A pity that the rain shower was broken, so we always had to use the handheld shower head.
There was a misunderstanding with the staff about at which time dinner started, so we had to wait for almost an hour while being very hungry.

Everything was wonderful,, towels and beds. Also you can join the dinner starting at 20:30, there is no choice in dinners so eating what they serve, this was excellent. The pool is great, no chlorine in it. Enough lettini con ombrellone. The bar has not much options, e.g. there is information on available packed ice cream, but they have only 15% of that in store., and coffee is only available as espresso.
WiFi connection is really bad, maybe 10% of the time available.

Lorenzo was very welcoming and friendly. A great host. The staff were all delightful and the pool was wonderful.
Maybe some fresh fruit and bread at breakfast. We are not really used to biscuits at this time

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The area is excellent for visiting the whole area as it is set the same distance from each coast of Puglia. Must have a car to take you around but then loads to see. If you like visiting the local sites, this a great place to stay even though it's basic.
A little cramped but that is how it is when you stay in an original type of building. A little difficult to find, make sure your satnav is up to date. Beware that mobile phone coverage is minimal at best (not really a bad thing).
