About this farm stay rental
Welcome to the Sherman Inn. Our beautifully restored farmhouse is the perfect get-away for couples, families, and friends. Conveniently located off 95 and Route 11, yet perfectly nestled on a 2 acre lot surrounded by apple trees and a maple grove. More importantly, the ATV trails leading straight into Canada are just next door! A prime location for hunting and fishing.
Come and relax, enjoy the scenery, wildlife, a campfire, or just a game of Cribbage!

Millinocket is just 15 minutes South, with Mt. Katahdin and Baxter State Park just around the corner, about 30 miles from Sherman Inn. Canada and Houlton are 30 minutes North of the property.

We absolutely loved this house. Our favorite room was the sunroom where we sat and drank our coffee in the morning and watched the horse and buggies go by. There were so many sitting areas though that each had their own personality. The decorations in the house were beautiful and we loved all the books about Christianity. I personally tried 3 of the beds and they were all extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this rental. I would definitely go stay there again.

The house has everything you need for your time off. Very comfortable and accommodating place to stay and relax regardless of the nature of your visit. The property manager is very receptive of your needs.

We enjoyed staying in the large 2 story farmhouse in Sherman, ME. It was close to Baxter State Park & Mt. Katahdin. It had all the amenities we needed. The only negative thing was that we couldn’t get our Roku to connect to the TV so we had no news or sports. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. We

First time VRBO user and couldn’t be more pleased. Property was so homey and welcoming. Loved it. Very clean and stocked with many incidentals. Only minor issue.. floor mats in upstairs bathroom should be updated. Beds were comfortable and plenty of blankets pillow and towels. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

The home was very charming and comfortable. We did not miss a step and felt as though we were home the whole time. Our 17 year old also made home self at home and took over the top floor

On the Snowmobile Trail
Fantastic large old farmhouse very well decorated. Nice collection of books and DVDs for use. Nice mudroom entryway worked very well for letting the dog in and out. Right on the snowmobile trail with plenty of parking.

Cozy and spacious Maine getaway!
My friend and I stayed at the Sherman Inn because we were running the Millinocket Half Marathon. We were very impressed! It was easy to get to and from Millinocket for events and the marathon, but at the same time it felt like our own cozy oasis. We absolutely loved being able to relax by the fire, watch the snow fall, and catch up with one another.

It was perfect for our mini family reunion when my son finished the Appalachian trail. Well worth the little bit of a drive from the end of the trail. Everyone has a great time!

Charming Farmhouse
Large older home with lots of character. Well maintained and decorated with a lot of interesting pictures and signs. The yard away from the road was great for our puppy. Everything was as expected; we will be back for snowmobile season!

Peace and quiet.
Perfect location between relatives in Bangor and Houlton. My Mom is in hospice care in Houlton so a quick drive to get to see her.

This lovely older house was roomy and clean. Very good proximity to Baxter State Park. Very clean with all the necessities. It also had one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! Highly recommend!

Really cool place a short drive from KW&W entrance. Extremely cozy and stocked with plenty of clean linens; the kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. The park was amazing, lots of great hikes and sightseeing, would 100% recommend.

Great location when trying to see many locations in 1 week!
Absolutely lovely home and very roomy for 6 people and a golden! Visited family down east; checked out family history in Amity and Orient; visited Acadia twice and some of us hiked Cadillac and checked out Bar Harbor. Didn’t have enough time to climb Katahdin. Weather didn’t cooperate. With all of this traveling, we ate most meals in the fully equipped kitchen or packed lunches. Wonderful memories were made! Thank you ❤️

Cozy for snowmobiling
We enjoyed this property for snowmobiling with trails and gas station right through the back yard! There's PLENTY of trailer parking and it was clean and cozy to come home to after a day of riding.

Had a wonderful stay at the Inn
My family enjoyed our stay for our snowmobile vacation. Trail is right behind the house making it perfect for access . The Inn is a beautiful remodeled farmhouse with every you’ll need . And plenty for parking for trucks and trailers. We hope to be back again .

A Great Escape in a Welcoming Community
This home was perfect for my family and our escape from the busy city. The yard was nice and big for our dog, the home was huge with four bedrooms PLUS a finished third floor loft. There's a full kitchen, dining room and multiple sitting areas. It can accommodate a big group, but is marvelous for a family.
The owners and the caretakers were very very nice to us over our stay and very helpful in getting to know the area. Also - I highly recommend going up to VaJoWa in Island Falls if you're a Golfer.

In the middle of no where
Beautiful antiques but we can see that anywhere. Flies were absolutely horrible in and outside of inn. Owners should provide some type of a/c at least on a bedroom. Kitchen was lovely and stocked well, even ice maker! We left a day early and stayed in York, ME.
