The hotel is in a great central location, and it has an excellent parking garage a few minutes walk away. On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful, and continued to be throughout our stay. Our room was great, functional and comfy. A very happy few days.
Only tiny negative, our room was cleaned but only half done. This wasn't a major issue.

Everything was perfect and as expected. The bed was comfortable, the staff was helpful, location is perfect.
The room was quite small, but it was actually all I need. The view could have been better, windows of other rooms are very close.

The personell were very helpful and friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable.
The website stated there would be coffee and tea throughout the day in the lobby for free. That was not the case.

I booked a room by mistake (accidentally clicked on two rooms as opposed to one), and yes, it was non-refundable, so that is my problem, and the hotel refused to refund the room. I still cannot understand why the company wouldn't have understood. I contacted them months in advance, and they just flat out refused. Noting, we stayed at this hotel on different nights (with the room we did need) and I left a very positive review for that stay.

The "welcome hall"/reception was nice, staff was friendly. The location of the hotel is magnificent, located closely to shops and a gracht.
However, the beds were not that comfortable, rather soft. Unfortunately we had a room that faces towards the street, so when we opened the window in the night, we could smell smoke from cigarettes (customers outside). The kettle in the room was kinda dirty, chalky deposits. The tap in the bathroom was placed barely above the sink

Very good customer service and friendly staff
Pricing was really high, the hotel misused the fact that a large concert would be held during our stay.

The room was very comfortable with a nice bathroom even if the setup is quite compact. The location is close enough to the train station and there are plenty of food options as well as a couple of supermarkets near by. I stayed here while attending the Assen TT MotoGP round, and while I had to take a train each day, it was a convenient location.
I don't think the room had a refrigerator, which would have been handy.

Good location and friendly service. Hotel had their own little parking garage, few hundred meters from the hotel. Clear instruction how to get there and check in possible to make via web. Exellent.

Breakfast is great too.

VERY GOOD BREAKFAST
THE STAFF WERE VERY NICE MD HELPFUL, DESPITE THE FACT THAT THEY LOOKED THAT THEY WERW NOT EXPERIENCED.
THE RENNOVATION OF THE ENTRANCE AND RECEPTION COULD BE BETTER ABD NOT SO SIMPLE
THE HOTEL SHOULD TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THAT I AM AM REPETING CLIENT AND SHOULD MAKE SOME KIND OF BETTER OFFER REGARDING THE DAYLY CHARGE. INSTEAD I HAVE BEEN 'PUNISHED' DUE TO THE FACT THAT I EXTENDED MY STAYING FROM 3 TO 4 DAYS.
FOR EXAMPLE. INITIALLY MY BOOKING WAS FOR 3 DAYS ( FROM 14-TO 17/6) WITH A TOTAL CHARGE OF €469 I.E. €156.33 PER DAY
FOLLOWING I BOOKED FOR 4 DAYS (FROM 13 TO 17/6) WITH A TOTAL CHARGE OF €727 I.E. €181.75 PER DAY (INCREASE ON DAYLY RATE BY €25.42 ) OR THE 4TH DAY (WHICH WAS TUESDAY ) HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH €258, INSTEAD OF €156.

The City Hotel was in a good location in central Groningen.
There was a lot of construction going on, so it may be better in the future. Also, the bike storage area left us feeling a little insecure about the security of our bicycles.

Loved all the choices of fruit! Excellent breakfast! The staff was very helpful in finding the parking garage which was a few blocks away. One way roads made it difficult. Appreciated the bar in the evening when it was rainy and we chose to stay warm and play cards instead of being out in the city.
We were very pleased with the hotel, staff and location.

The hotel is centrally located and very close to restaurants, shops, train station etc. The staff were superb. All were very willing to help and very courteous, especially the staff who served breakfast and the receptionists. The hotel is currently undergoing a renovation on the ground floor, so the breakfast was served at a nearby cafe. The breakfast staff, in particular the young man, were very welcoming and helpful. The room was large and well furnished for a short stay. I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay.

Great location, very helpful & friendly staff, nice breakfast buffet
The room I stayed in did not seem to have much soundproofing, I could clearly hear all conversations in the corridor, and also from the terrace of the adjacent building

My room very pretty small but clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was limited but ample.
As for location the hotel is in the centre of the town which was perfect for moving about.
A bigger room and a proper double bed rather than two beds pushed together would have been grand.

Great central location. Staff were friendly.
Overpriced for what’s on offer. Very basic room yet expensive. With that being said, it seems every hotel in the area is expensive. Especially in comparison to many other European cities
