Good for overnight stay.

Croissant at breakfast were excellent. Very spacious room and well equipped. Very good bed.

Fish dishes not available at dinner.

It’s definitely not what is advertised.

Nice walk to the restaurant down the road. Breakfast was ok.

There was a cigarette burn on the bedcovers when arriving and the TV did not work. We were moved to an alternative room which hadn’t been made up properly.

Gem of a hotel in the Northamptonshire countryside.

We had an overnight stay. We were allowed to check in from 2pm. The room was lovely and clean and looked liked it had recently been refurbished. We had a swim in the pool. It was quite small but we used the jacuzzi bath as well. There was also a small gym with adequate equipment. The bar area was lovely and bright. We had a drink before our meal in the restaurant. The food was excellent. Staff very attentive. The next morning we had a really nice cooked breakfast. Lots to choose from and all very hot. (If I had one niggle I would say the two hot drinks machines were very slow and at times people were queuing to use them). The hotel is in lovely grounds. There was a wedding there when we stayed which had been held outside. We will definitely stay again.

Nice country style hotel with good friendly staff

Staff all very polite & helpful, the hotel is set in lovely gardens, breakfast was good just too busy & dinner was excellent.

The gym is very old, lots of the equipment doesn’t work & outdated ! This needs serious improvement and or just closing down

Wonderful building, nice rooms and helpful staff

High standards with regard to the hotel itself, the rooms, the staff and the grounds. Nice bar and restaurant area, good options available.

Already stayed before and will always come back when in the area.

Our lovely room was a superior newly done out room although fairly compact had everything you needed and very well presented . The bed was v comfortable too .As well as usual tea and coffee also Coffee maker in the room . Breakfast was fab and fresh . All the staff were super friendly and helpful in the dining room , housekeeping and front desk . Easy parking too .

Lovely hotel, would stay there again.

The grounds, and breakfast, comfortable bed

Need the wall sorting in the room, looks like water has been getting in. the wall are very thin, we could hear people talking, in the room next to us.

A very enjoyable stay, we have one criticism - no handrail by the steps leading to the rece

Food was cold and we couldn’t be accommodated in the restaurant.

Great place with friendly staff

Great staff and great service. Rooms were comfy. Food choice was excellent.

Room doors slammed, so people coming in and out during the night didn't soft close doors. Jacuzzi could do with protection on bommon vents, bars sticking out, and caught ankle a few times.

It was a decent stay but I won’t be recommending it to friends and family

The property is in beautiful surroundings

The facilities were very poor. No water or slippers in the room. The heating was off because of summer months we were told but the rooms were very cold. The swimming pool was cold so we couldn’t use it and the jacuzzi was damaged and sealed with some kind of tape so we couldn’t use that either. Breakfast was very basic

Good value.

Refurbished in 2022 and that meant good carpet, decor, etc. Quiet location.

Shower and bathroom not spotless. Suggest cleaners instructed to clean behind the door in bathroom and shower needs deeper clean.

Won’t recommend

It was meant to be dog friendly but was asked to leave the bar after order food as we had the dog, someone said it looked menacing! Then they didn’t the curiosity to bring out food to our room. And no refund !

Exceptional

The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel, great selection and well cooked, buffet layout but nothing was cold. Staff were particularly helpful with no long wait when we arrived and rooms at the perfect temp.

the lay it is unusual - definitely more akin to a corporate training centre rather than a hotel - but it grew on me by day 3!

Overall a comfortable stay but unlikely to return

Lounge bar was good. Free tea and coffee was a nice touch.

Food was very expensive for quality/quantity. Service in bar was very slow.

All recently refurbished communal areas and room. Lovely walk-in shower, comfy beds, opening windows and swimming until 10pm.
