i got waffles for breakfast which were a little dry considering the price for breakfast
4.5
Clean and modern, comfortable bed, room was lovely, all finished to a very high standard. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn’t get chance to use the pool or spa but both looked lovely.
Shower was a bit hot and cold.

The property is great. Clean, welcoming and staff were fantastic and welcoming. Location is out of the way from the bustle of Leeds which is nice and getting an Uber into the centre is easy.
Nothing overall

Lovely people who were welcoming and provided great service - food was very good too
It was a shame the indoor swimming pool was so public - everyone coming to the hotel could see into the pool and loungers

Lovely staff but dinner service was rather slow.

the restaurant is abit pricey for the food, my lasagne was really burnt.

all staff were polite and helpful, very clean and relaxing environment
the room opposite us all night going in and out there room and door banged every time even after hours.
4.0
Good property, well maintained with all the services one could expect. Nice friendly staff. Room was fine, although the step down into a reading area, could be a hazard to older clients. Excellent location on a motorway junction made it easy to reach, for our group of 8 from different parts of the country
Service in the restaurant on 1st night was incredibly slow, not just for our table, even though it was not particularly busy.

The facilities have all you need for a relaxed getaway
Nice comfy bed and pillows.
Quite room.
Very clean room.
Nice log fire in the reception, it gave a nice ambiance feel to the place.
You had to pay extra for the SPA facilities even after booking a room at the hotel.
Car park is £10 per day.
No complimentary water in room.
Pay extra for coffee at the SPA after paying extra for the use of the SPA.
Dedicated time needed for breakfast, on a relaxed break I’d like to be on no schedule.

The location and this hotel is excellent and we have used this hotel for many years. We have also been members of the spa in the past for numerous years so know this hotel very well.
On arrival we were told by reception that as we hadnt booked through the hotel directly that we were being charged £10 additionally for the car parking (on top of the room rate) and also £10 each for the use of the spa. This wasnt something that was mentioned when we booked and the hotel emails had welcomed us to use the facilities. One of the reasons we always book this hotel is for the spa facilities so we were taken aback when told this as the hotel hadnt also informed us in their prior email communication. This wasnt the best start to our stay. Although we didnt have dinner in the hotel we had a few drinks in the bar and found that the service was extremely slow.
In terms of the room, it is starting to look quite dated now and the previous high end electrics have been replaced by much cheaper versions reducing the feeling of an exclusive hotel stay. We found the main issue was that in order to get a drink of water from the room you have to head down to the end of the corridor to a machine. The machine wasnt working well and the water came out in a slight trickle. If you dont remember to take your water bottle there are no spare cups that we could see anywhere. There is also a machine for milk (right next to it), again if you fancy a coffee and need some milk its a hike to get some milk and make sure you are fully dressed! I support the hotels intention to reduce waste but please provide additional paper cups (should you not have a water bottle) and also maybe just have a couple of milk sachets in the room just so that if you wanted to have a coffee first thing that you dont have to hike down to the end of the corridor. We really love to stay at this hotel as we have many great memories here but our stay this time has certainly made us rethink about staying here in future which is such a shame as this hotel has previously been really good.
