Price is not reasonable

The riad is really close to the city centre. The room is big, with lots of windows, lots of light. Nice design, especially common area, all things we needed were provided including bath robes and slippers. The breakfast was really good, with fresh vegetables, fresh orange juice, yougurt, bread and eggs.

We didn't expect to get such an old room for such a big price. Some pieces of furniture is missing, the bath has stains, the hairdryer was very old. Some details of design look really cheap. This accommodation definitely needs a renovation, otherwise the price is not reasonable.

Very nice Riad close to the souk

The breakfast is very good and the location as well. The staff is extremely friendly, especially the lady in the kitchen. We got an upgrade because we didn’t like the rooms without window.

I wouldn’t take the rooms without window. And the hotel is not cheap

Nice stay, friendly staff, good value for money

Breakfast was really good; staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. We were able to book a driver back to Marrakech with the hotel. They were very responsive and helpful. The rooms were pretty.

We had to climb quite a large amount of stairs to get to the room. The hotel is a bit hidden away from the main streets of the medina.

the room was mouldy, the smell of mould was extremely strong. There were air freshener spray bottles to 'refresh' the air... Please note that other rooms, not turned to the inner yard, did not seem to have the same problem. The

Great People Lovely Location

The stand out feature of this property is the lovely staff. Great location off the busy streets and so peaceful. Breakfasts are amazing and nothing is too much trouble.

Friendly staff and great place to stay in Essaouira. Breakfast was very good and we had a light flooded room. Great vibe and definitely with the money!

The smell from the bathroom was a little disturbing but not too bad.

Easy to access the medina, everything in walking distance. Nice spacious downstairs area. Varied breakfast. Helpful staff.

Not well sound proofed internally - a lot of late night noise from other guests. Not air conditioned, and opening the windows for any length of time let in unpleasant odours. But quite stuffy with windows closed. Not very good value for money compared with most other places we have stayed at in Morocco.

The hotel has an excellent location close to the medina wall and away from the noisiest areas but at the same time very easy walkable reach to any point in town. Our room was really beautiful and comfortable. The service was 5 star worthy - very polite, caring and accommodating in every way. They even did our laundry, clean shirts were returned the same day. My husband and I are in love with Essaouira, we'll be back and will stay in Dar Liouba again.

Lovely riad and kind staff!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted and treated with the utmost care, kindness, and empathy. The breakfasts were great, as well as all the facilities. The riad transported us into a different world. To Malika, Mohammed, sala and all the staff at Dar Liouba, thank you ,thank you. You made our stay at essaouira a lovely one and are thankful for your kindness. We hope to come back to visit you again.

Pretty small Riad, great base to explore Essaouira.

It is a cute Riad in the south of the medina not far from the souks. The staff were very attentive and helpful, they sorted out our onward travel.

The terrace would benefit from some greenery to make up for the scruffy views.

the wonderful staff, the warm ambience in the sitting area, the great - best!! breakfast in essaouira, the realness of it!!

the beds…. covered with horrible plastic waterproof sheeting under the sheets so it crackled all night. I ended up stripping the bed in the middle of the night cos you couldn’t sleep every time you turned. Or when your partner did!! please take them off and change them for different protective coverings… are we really going to wet the bed?! hopefully it was just our room!

Great location with quiet calm inside beautifully tiled and appointed hotel. will be back.

the light coming through the beautiful atrium and the many little touches that made our stay: fresh fruit to have, cups of tea in the afternoon, fresh flowers, beautifully appointed rooms with babouches (slippers), very comfortable beds, located in the heart of the Medina.

A pleasant hotel stay and in a good location.

The location was very good and Essouria is small so it is easy to get to everything. The property felt secure and there was a delicious Moroccan breakfast in the mornings. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating when we needed to switch rooms because of the awful smell in the bathroom.

The beds were very hard and the shower wasn’t that brilliant-could so with slight modernising of the bathroom. we had to ask to move rooms because there was a terrible sewage smell in our first room (room 1) but they were very helpful and arranging this.

A great stay in Essaouria!

The is a lovely hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is substantial and offers a variety of items.

Staff was very nice and accomodating, its quite central in the Medina and its very nicely decorated.

It had a bit of a humidity smell to it and one of the rooms and bedsheets that werent in great conditions - but the staff imediately changed it. Wi-fi is poor inside the rooms. Breakfast was good - please recheck if its included in the price when you pay for it.
