Great location and the owner, Rob, was lovely and gave amazing recommendations of what to do in the area.

Great location to the pier and town and very central to other spots that I wanted to visit in the area. The owner, Rob was lovely and gave excellent recommendations on what to do in the local area - I loved the walkers ticket that was recommended

The single bed had a dip in it from previous guests so wasn’t that comfortable to sleep on and the bathroom was super tiny which made getting in and out of the shower tricky but I made it work

Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again!!

Comfortable bed. Clean and tidy. Plenty of tea and coffee and more available if required. Friendly owner. Very helpful. Great recommendations for pubs and restaurants.

A really wonderful stay in a beautiful location for a great price!

The room was lovely and clean, the TV had Netflix etc which was a bonus, and the location is really fantastic. Also very good value for money.

The only thing was finding it a bit difficult to get into the main building to get more tea/coffee etc as the door is quite stiff.

Absolutely loved our stay. The owner was really helpful. Bed was the most comfortable bed We've ever slept in,it was that comfortable we checked to see what make it was and ordered one when we got home. Our Daisy absolutely loved stopping here too.Will definitely be coming back x

Perfect base, perfect location.

Perfect location for my 2 day stay. Easy access to the fells and lakes around Ambleside. The perfect base with local amenities available on the doorstep. It was a pity I couldn’t stay for breakfast as I had an early start for a 27 mile hike across High Street.

Nothing at this price.

We stayed in an annexe room away from the main building (5 yards away) which was a nice quite way to spend our time. Rosa, who looked after our check in and visit was very helpful and friendly and advised us of things and places to visit. The location is right on the main road into Ambleside, a 2 minute walk to pubs and restaurants (of which there are many). Easy 10 minute walk to the lakeside pier for ferries on Lake Windermere.

The owner of the property was super helpful and kind! Very quiet place, perfect for switching your brain off!! Would go back for sure! So many things to see nearby, caves 5 mind river, mountains 15-20 minutes drive! Brilliant place.

Excellent location, comfy and cosy.

Nothing flash but extremely comfortable. Cant beat the location in the heart of the village. Staying with the dog and staying in the converted out house was so very practical to let him out for toilet breaks. Room was very warm and comfortable. Second time we've stayed. Comes with parking if you need it.

We stayed for 4 nights, a fridge would be helpful in that situation. You can't get the kettle under the sink, please provide a jug. Btw neither of the above made me enjoy my stay any less. See you next time!

A perfect place to stay

The lodge was really lovely. very clean, a very comfy bed and everything you need for a few days away in Ambleside. We were in one of the dog friendly rooms which was in an annex at the back of the lodge and just perfect for having a dog as we didn’t need to traipse through the B&B when we needed to let the dog out. The location is perfect for the town centre and has free parking. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again
