Not very clean and the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. The location and neighborhood was fantastic though.

Pictures are deceiving. Place looks nothing like the pictures.
First, we got there and trash barrel outside was full. Second, the door was unlocked. Third, we go in and there was a bad smell of old/smoke/cigarrettes. Fourth, carpet and furniture are old and dusty. Fifth, the beds are so uncomfortable. Sixth, place is dark. Very u guapo y as we got in touch about the odor and trash and we left the place and trash was still there. No one came to at least get the trash!

This charming cabin is located within a ski village right in the heart of Franconia notch. Its location is perfect and I loved the quiet location in the mountains. The cabin and the kitchen had all of the essentials. The cabin was small but very cozy and cute. My only complaint is how utterly uncomfortable every single bed in this cabin is. This would be a relatively inexpensive fix for the property management team and it would make a world of difference. If the beds were better I would have given five stars. New living room furniture wouldn’t hurt either but the beds were the real issue here. We didn’t get a good nights sleep either night of our stay due to the discomfort of the mattresses. Such a shame because this cabin is wonderful in every way otherwise.

The chalet was practically in Franconia Notch, which made access to Echo Lake and the Flume Gorge within minutes!

5th time we've rented this chalet. Disappointed that the internet/wi-fi never worked. As a business owner this was a huge issue as I always need access to company while away. Also, believe there should be ample tools to light a fire. No paper or matched provided when we arrived.

Cute. Great location! Comfy. Good beds and plenty of towels!

Cozy chalet in Mittersill Village, close to main building. Area was quiet and peaceful. House was clean and the kitchen was well appointed. Main bed felt smaller than a queen but was comfortable. Best feature was the fireplace for sure.
Had no internet at all during the entire stay. Spoke with many property managers from Vacasa but was told the issue was with Spectrum, which was strange because my friends staying in the same village had wifi, with no issue. That was our only complaint, and mainly due to the already poor cell service, which made it hard to Google anything in the area before going out and about.

All the furniture especially the beds are horrible. Worst nights sleep in years! Great location to all the mountains and attractions.

Pan had leftover food on it, fireplace caused the home to become Smokey (yes the flue was opened) however the smoke alarms never went off. They appeared to not be functioning at all which is scary. Home was very dated and run down both inside and out. Living room furniture was very old and beds were uncomfortable. Photos online are very deceptive, looks much nicer online. The streaming services kept freezing because the internet was not working properly.

This property was absolutely not what was advertised.
When we arrived it was hard to find because it looked nothing like the pictures posted. It was tiny with overgrown bushes on the roof and all around the side and back.
There is little to no yard, no privacy from very close surrounding houses and the giant hotel blocking any view.
We walked in and was even more disappointed when the inside was extremely old and worn. The smell of mold or mildew was overwhelming. We had a very long drive to get there and was traveling with young children and our family dog. I immediately called and demanded my money back and luckily was able to book a different property that was not apart of this property management company. I gladly paid more to sleep somewhere else that was not moldy and gross.
This cabin should not be rented with the pictures listed. Beware!!!

The chalet was so fun. Not as big as the photo suggests, but just perfect for us! And very quiet outside. Comfortable beds, very clean bathroom. Soft couch and chairs. Nice TV.
We did not get the vacation we had hoped, but no fault of the chalet. I broke my foot the first afternoon we were there and then our cat went missing back in Boston, so we had to leave only two days after arriving, which was three days early. Very disappointing, because we loved the place so much!

Weekend in the White Mts
Overall the home was fine and met our needs for our weekend in Franconia for our nieces wedding. The house was a bit smaller than it appears in the listing. We were not able to use one of the doors because the pistons on the storm door were in disrepare and we didn't want the to break them. Access was difficult for my 93 year old mom. She uses a walker and there were obstacles that she needed to step over to get in and out. We managed ok but would have been better had the patio area not been surround w a boarder of wooden timbers. The bathroom was small and she couldn't bring the walker in but she managed.
Overall we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The house was pretty much as described w a fouton upstairs not an actual bed.
I wouldn't recommend it if someone has a disability that makes it difficult to maneuver stairs and tight places.
Area was very quiet and pretty.

The location was great.
The inside of Emma's cottage was very nice. The outside not so much. The outside is in need of paint... it looks very shabby. Also one of the doors is missing a piece. If the outside is as similar to the inside, the cottage would be much nicer.

Perfect
It was really perfect for what we were looking for. It was a little interesting that it was in a ski resort and that wasn't listed but it does make us want to come back for ski season! Was a great trip. We would definitely recommend to others and hope to be back soon.

Once the cabin warmed up it was charming! The weekend we stayed was -15 degrees so it took a little while to warm up. The fireplace was nice (bring your own matches). Super close to cannon and lots of fun things to do in sugar hill snd surrounding area. The Vacasa crew was amazing and prompt when we locked ourselves out and even came by to check on the heat. Can’t say enough great things about the management! Will definitely stay again!

Family ski trip
This was a cute chalet at Cannon Mountain with a nice fireplace and cozy feel. The furniture in the living room was uncomfortable but the beds were fine.

Happy renters
Been coming to the chalet for years and love it. Perfect for an older couple like us with full kitchen for lots of indoor meals during a two week stay and clean and comfortable quarters. Much prefer this cozy chalet then the larger rentals. Nice yard especially if you bring your dogs. Support staff for Vicasa is very responsive to any needs or concerns.

Cute Chalet
I loved having a kitchen for the food we bought. I loved the fireplace. Beautiful area. The improvement would be in the furniture, very uncomfortable, old and warn. The kitchen chairs were what I used.

Great cozy cabin. Set off the beaten path but easy to get everywhere. Would definitely stay again

Disappointed
Terribly outdated and worn home. We found pictures from 2004 when the owner performed updates. Much of the same furniture in the pictures remains in the home. Shrubs and trees need trimming. It was far less than what we expected for the cost. We left a day earlier.

Rainy day oasis
Although it rained the entire time of our stay, a warm fireplace and a retro DVD collection kept us cozy and entertained. There was the added bonus that our dog could come along on our trip. Although the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils, guests must remember to bring the basics if they plan to cook. We enjoyed our time at Emmon's Mittersill Village Chalet.

Spring skiing getaway
The location was fantastic. Right at the mountain. The cabin was tastefully decorated with classic New England charm. The fireplace at night was perfect end to the day and were able to cook all of our meals in the well equipped kitchen. The mattresses are a bit dated and tough on the back, but overall a fantastic place to stay.

June 5 stay
Never every deal with vacasa; in fact vrbo should not list any of their properties; horrible experience with them; waited 3 hours during one call and still did not get through; had to call at 10pm to get anyone; so if you had a serious problem at the property you are screwed, you will not get anyone; always book a vrbo property where you deal directly with the property owner; in the past this has turned out to be a great experience; housekeeping was the best part about this property; maintenance needs work/attention to detail - screen door needs replacing; ceiling fan did not work; cable/tv did not work; ac in the closet;

Great location, nice house all the amenities
Only complaint is the furniture - the bed mattress and the chairs and sofa in the living room need to be replaced. Up there with some of the most uncomfortable furniture I have ever experienced.

break away
Perfect. Although a beautiful area, we probably wont visit again unless off season. We are of the older generation and peace and quite is what we look for. With everything closed early and we were about the only visitors there at the time. It was perfect. Again absolutely beautiful but more for the young and active. We do rate a 10+ . if only 40 years younger, we would definitely visit again.

Wonderful stay! Very cozy, clean and comfortable.
We we’re very appreciative of whom ever shoveled the walk way. My boyfriend was feeling under the weather during our two night stay and Emmons chalet couldn’t have been more comfortable to relax and recuperate.

Loved it and was the perfect size
It was a cute house right at the bottom of cannon mountain. There was plenty of room was great to have a full kitchen definitely saved some money there. It was pet friendly which was great for us cause we were able to bring our dog. There were a couple of down sides the cable was on the fritz and the outide visually could have looked more appealing

Reviewer Comments:
The property photos do not do this property justice. The property is very open and roomy. The layout is great for a family of four. There was room to spare (there is a third sleeping area in the second floor loft area). Living room seating would have been difficult for more than four in my opinion. The property was built in the mid-twentieth century, and much of the original charm remains. There is a new oven and refrigerator, and paint is relatively fresh. Lack of a washer/dryer and dishwasher was not an issue for us, although carpeting in the bathroom was a bit odd! The location was perfect for our needs. It is in a resort setting right at the base of Mittersill and Next to Cannon, but feels like you are in the woods. The Mittersill Baron's pup is a short walk from the house where you can sit at the bar, get snacks and play lots of games. I would definitely recommend this property to families of four, or a group of friends. Go eat at Chef Joe's and Plain Kate's in Franconia, and drive up to the Little Depot in Littleton for some seriously good Brazilian food.
