Completely updated + additions! Formerly rented under "Shipwright Cottage" and was almost always rented; sometimes a year in advance. Unique, non smoking home on the Intercostal Waterway, stunning views from the master bedroom, great room, kitchen, dining room and river deck. 150 slip Marina, ships store and (restaurant, "Marker 244" next door)
The house is very sunny, bright, breezy and well appointed with a Coastal Lowcountry historic & beach theme, a little jewel. 2 Bedrooms, 2 full Baths plus a Queen Lazy-boy sleeper. Upgrades include new tile or refinished hard wood floors throughout. Upscale furnishings, window treatments, kitchen appliances, new Sealy Posturepedic bedding, new vented gas fireplace, both exterior decks have been rebuilt and new painting throughout. THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL RENTAL, there are very few like it. Very clean, with lots of special touches.
Pass your time sitting on the river deck reading a book from our library with your favorite beverage or just watch the dolphins and boats pass by on the waterway or the the ospreys and pelicans diving for fish to feed their young. Beaufort & Port Royal, towns both rich with history! Discovered by the Spanish in 1514 and chartered by the British in1711. Having flown under Seven Flags and known as the "Queen of the Carolina Sea Islands". In 1562 Captain Jean Ribaut, a French Huguenot sailing for Spain established the first settlement with 150 brave settlers on what's now Parris Island which he named Charlesfort. He said upon his planned return to Spain, "NO FAIRER OR FITTER PLACE TO BE". This still holds true today!

We came for our daughter’s graduation from Parris Island and we are so happy we stayed here. The house is close to everything. It was so clean and the view of the river was amazing. The neighborhood was so quiet and relaxing after a hectic day. Thank you so much!!!

The stay was great. Enjoyed the morning sunrise over coffee. Enjoyed the deck and grilling in the cool evenings. Overall five stars. I suggest you do get a recycle bin with a top because I think the raccoons got into the bin looking for food. We covered it with a bucket so they would not try it again. Property lived up to the pictures.

I love waking up to one of the most spectacular views in Beaufort! It's rare to rent your own home with ocean views located so centrally. It's in an extremely cute, quiet, resort type community surrounded by beautiful trees. Has everything you'll need and will certainly love staying in this cozy home. Communication and check-in is very easy. I can't wait to come back!

Stayed here while visiting my daughter on Parris Island. Check in/out was super easy. The location is perfect, close to everything we wanted to do and see. The view was beautiful, we sat and watched the sun rise. Marker 244 was in walking distance, we were able to have dinner on the patio and bring our dog. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is very pretty and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Our second stay at this comfortable home in a neat, quiet neighborhood under a canopy of live oaks and Spanish moss. Sunrises over the river more than make up for a sofa that is not comfortable and a barn door on the master bath. We will likely be back again soon.

We loved our stay. The house was very clean and relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to prepare a meal in. Plenty of towels and walk in closet for clothes, suitcase etc.
The deck was wonderful and relaxing to set on and watch the marina with all of the boats.
We watched a dolphin playing with a fish in the water.
We met the owner Mark and he was so kind and offered us great information on things to see and do.
The beautiful oak trees with Spanish moss covered streets into the village was gorgeous.
I have already recommended to friends to visit.

This property was wonderful. I would highly recommend staying here. The house was immaculate and had everything you could possibly need. The view of the Beaufort River from either inside or outside the house was beautiful, we saw dolphins each day we were there. The notes left by the host were very helpful and the state park pass left for the guests use was a nice touch. We can't wait to visit again!

We loved the location of this house, the cleanliness, and the gorgeous views out the back deck. We never had to drive more than five minutes to places we wanted to go, and I was so happy to be able to bring my dogs who loved nothing more than laying on the deck watching the boats. We came down from Ohio with family for our eldest sons Marine bootcamp graduation. The location was amazing for everything that we wanted to do and a fantastic location to Paris Island. The property was clean and orderly and had everything we needed! The pictures do not do it justice, quiet little neighborhood, tucked under beautiful older trees. All communication with the property managers were timely and very helpful. Highly recommend their properties if they keep the others as they do this one.

Mark (and daughter Melissa) were welcoming, informative & helpful during our visit to SC and Tidewatch! We cannot say enough about how immaculate (attention to detail for comfort), lovely cozy perfect and delightful the property was! When we pulled into the Landing it was like entering a theme park at Disney set in THE quintessential South Carolina neighborhood with spanish moss hanging from majestic huge trees! All the lovely homes were pastels and we were right on the Beaufort river overlooking their marina with a great restaurant/incidentals shop within walking distance. Even binoculars provided to pinpoint "flippers" in the river! Beaufort and Hunting Beach Park and "Boneyard" on the Atlantic (pass provided by Mark in Welcome folder!) were just amazing! Am I gushing too much?! If we are ever in SC again, this is the ONLY place you will be 100% satisfied with staying! Thank you SC!
