Piscina interior e as vistas, a paz, a calma do local

Nada a apontar.

The location can't be more beautiful, with a panoramic view of the mountains and the river, seen from the dining area, and is the perfect quiet place to flee the summer crowds. There is good parking.
Everything is clean but very basic -- the rooms don't even have a fridge and no internet. With extremely hot days when we were there (39 degrees celsius), having cold drinks at hand would have been very much appreciated. With no internet in the bedroom and other areas except in the living room, we had to use our personal mobile internet the entire 4 days of stay. No fridge is unthinkable these days, especially where one pays 125 euros for the cheapest room. The living area is not comfortable as oversized sofas are squeezed into the space so it looks more like they were dumped there for lack of a place to put them. There is no common room with board or table games, which is usual in Portuguese rural accommodation. The house serves dinner which we think overpriced for the quality (knowing the region is famous for its culinary traditions). Rooms are clean but not well-maintained. Our small balcony had chairs which were falling apart, one was not usable as it had completely sunk in the middle (made of plastic weaving). Bathroom fixtures were falling, or had fallen (towel racks). Our TV had cable channels, but we were told that we were "lucky" as our room was located "close" to the cable TV box, apparently other rooms only had the few local channels. Breakfast is basic, and very repetitive, it's the usual supermarket stuff, none of the regional cheeses or meats or hot dishes that would easily have been prepared and served. This region produces excellent food and wine, so a small gesture from the owners to have a variety in their breakfast fare would have been very much appreciated. This place is perfect if you are not looking for charm, or prefer some degree of comfort, or want to know about the lovely traditions of the region. If you are the type who only prefers a nice location and a pool to dip in, it is a good choice.

This was our second visit. We stayed first on our way to Chaves but had not booked a place to stay on our return. We found the Quinta do Bento so beautifully located, comfortable and with such friendly staff that we booked to stay again immediately.

The Quinta do Bento stands on a lush hillside overlooking a lake. The view was delightful and the gardens were full of blooming astroemeria. The room was simple and clean. The breakfast was good. The staff were polite and attentive.
I should have liked an extra pillow.

Location was exceptional and I would recommend to come early before the sunset. Garden around the house is very beautiful. Breakfast was tasty with multiple opportunities. Rooms were superclean nicely decorated and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place!
The hostess was very very nice, but communication was difficult, because she did not speak and understand English. Our room lack trash can.

Cannot emphasize enough how beautiful the views are! Stunning location near nature! Very peaceful. The staff is very nice but don't speak English. The rooms are quite cozy as well as the common area and the garden. Breakfast is simple but quite enjoyable. Stayed for two nights and did some lovely hikes.
Might be tricky to reach if you own a large car due to the narrow roads. The parking is alright though. A bit difficult to communicate, as the staff don't speak English. Sometimes took quite a while for the shower water to get warm, depending on the time of the day. Dinner was not fantastic.

the views are definitely the best thing!
found some minor dirty ness in the room, plus some small things that needed fixing (toilet seat and window for example) but overall fair

The location is superb. I loved looking at the view. Particularly pretty during sunset. I like how they set up the eating area where you can see the view.
Everything was great. Only thing is that there was a bit of communication barrier between us and the staff.
