Die perfekte Unterkunft in Vila Nova de Milfontes?!

Wo sollen wir anfangen... Die beiden Geschwister empfangen einen mit einer solchen Gastfreundlichkeit, dass man sich gleich wohlfühlt. Auf dem tollen Zimmer angekommen, fielen uns neben der super Ausstattung auch die kleinen Details (selbstgemachte Seife, frischer Tee auf dem Zimmer, Obst und Getränke für den Abend im "Wohnzimmer", etc.) auf, die den Aufenthalt hervorragend machten. Und wenn man dann am nächsten Morgen von dem tollen Frühstück verwöhnt wird... Kurzum: Herkommen, Genießen und Wohlfühlen.

Das wir nicht länger geblieben sind.

Fomos recebidos muito bem, todo o carinho e dedicação colocados no espaço e nos hóspedes é um ponto a destacar. O pequeno-almoço foi uma experiência gastronómica muito interessante e muito completa. Sem dúvida que lá voltarei!

Excelente relação qualidade/preço. Super confortável, espaço bonito e staff simpático.

Anfitrião simpático e muito gentil. Fez-nos sentir em casa. Pequeno almoço magnífico. Todo o espaço é super confortável, bonito e com muito bom gosto. Sentimo-nos muito bem nestes dois dias.

A única coisa que não achámos tão boa foi a qualidade do colchão da cama.

Confortável e muito bem localizado

Simpatia do Tomás. Ficámos num quarto superior que estava muito bem decorado, espaçoso e confortável. Excelente localização, no centro e perto de tudo.

Barulho. Fraco isolamento do quarto. Ouvia-se as portas a bater e as pessoas a falarem nos outros quartos.

Tomas en zijn zus zijn super gastvrij en vriendelijk. De kamer waarin wij verbleven was groot en aangenaam. Het is een mooie B&B met een heerlijk ontbijt, een aanrader voor iedereen!

Alles perfekt!

Wir wurden unglaublich freundlich begrüßt. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön eingerichtet, zu jeder Zeit sauber und die Besitzer machen den Aufenthalt zu etwas besonderem. Sie sind außergewöhnlich nett, das Frühstück wird jeden Morgen frisch und individuell zubereitet. Die Unterkunft ist sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Man kann von dort zu Fuß alles erreichen und das Auto ein paar Tage stehen lassen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen und es immer weiter empfehlen. Es ist absolut großartig.

Spacious and comfortable rooms. Amazing breakfasts! Loved the attention to detail e g our names on the napkin rings, the stylish decor in the house, coffee available 24/7, etc. Owners were very friendly and helpful!

Had a great stay and would love to return.

Friendly and helpful hosts-nothing was too much trouble. Amazing breakfast with huge choice, beautifully presented. Especially enjoyed the fresh melon, cheese board and bakery items! Delicious evening meal with lovely fresh produce. Quirky and interesting decor. Lovely sitting spaces-it was a bonus having our own little balcony. Useful little extras-local information, use of fridge, beach umbrella, fresh fruit and drinks available. Although in town the location was quiet and very convenient for restaurants, shops and beaches.

One of the best hotel experiences we have ever had

An amazing place smack in the middle of everything. Walkable to the beach and town. The owners' attention to detail and the experience you have is magical: recommendations for restaurants, beaches, hand picked wines, breakfast and dinner to die for. This is the place I would always come back to. One of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Thank you!

Unforgettable stay with a personal touch

Gorgeous property, unique place with a personal touch. Tomas and Mariana were friendly, professional and knowledgeable, yet it felt really relaxed. The breakfast was insanely delicious, the location perfect for the beaches, hiking and restaurants.

Can not fault this place. We just wished we were staying for longer.

Casa Do Lado is a gem, be sure to include dinner when you stay.

Honestly, owners Tomâs and his sister Chef Marianne could not have been more attentive to our needs and questions about the area. They have given considerable attention to every detail of this guest house ... it's design, personally selected interior decor and commitment to what they want guests to experience during their stay. The breakfasts and dinner in the courtyard were beyond expectation. Absolutely lovely, delicious, beautifully presented and personal. We highly recommend staying at Casa Do Lado.

Exceptional

Tomás is an excellent, very friendly and caring host, he even solved some of my travel problems (what to do and how) ahead of my stay per mail. Breakfast is not standard, but a very good and fresh food sample of regional products. Bed was very comfy, WiFi fast, location is pretty central in the main part of the little village. It is possble to park your car right in front of the building. The house is neat and small, it has a thoughtful interieur architecture and a very modern design with many special eyecatchers. There is a little outdoor patio for having breakfast (without a view). I was very happy with my choice!

We travel a lot, but Casa do Lado is definitely in our all-time top 3! Wonderful host, wonderful house, wonderful area, fantastic breakfast! The house is very clean, very comfortable, quiet, and beautifully decorated. All the appliances are modern, the bed is very comfortable, they have blackout curtains, sound sleep is guaranteed. Breakfast is fantastic, fresh, local produce, quantity and quality is much better than 99% of all the hotels I've ever stayed at. The location is great, right in the center but also only a few minutes walk from the beach. There's a great gelateria and shopping just round the corner and great restaurants within walking distance. Free parking is also available.

Exceptional

This is a great bed and breakfast / inn with excellent food and charming hosts. The brother-sister team's labor of love can be felt throughout the building/rooms and food. They have a good selection of Portuguese wine curated by their father. If you decide to stay, definitely book a dinner (in advance), you will not be disappointed. The beaches are a short walk and there are hiking routes near by.

despite located in the middle of town it is quiet as the house in a residential area. the interior is very nicely decorated and Mariana and Tomás who run the place wonderful hosts - and exceptional chef (don’t miss the home cooked dinner!)

Perfect stay, beautiful hotel & personalized attention

It’s a beautiful hotel in which every detail is taken care of. From it’s name to the architecture. The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious. Breakfast was delicious, healthy and with local ingredients. Tomás is a great host, he took care of every detail, gave us excellent recommendations and made us feel at home. 100% would recommend!

Small piece of paradise in a very authentic region of Portugal

On arrival at Casa do Lado it became clear that our hosts have put their heart and soul into this Bed&Breakfast. Every detail was handpicked and nicely decorated. Mariana and Tomás made sure to get out of their way to help us with any request (borrowing their beach umbrella, late breakfast due to surfing class, tips and tricks for the Alentejo region). We felt very welcome and comfortable and it was definitely a pleasure to get to know the people and region. We will visit again and recommend it to our family & friends.

Great welcome and communication from Tomás. Centrally located but tucked away and not noisy. The house has been wonderfully restored and the rooms are beautiful. Do not miss Mariana's dinner, an exceptional meal with subtle flavours in every course. A very restful stay and Tomás provided excellent recommendations for the local area.

Perfect + by far the best diner

Tomas is a great host, this little guesthouse offers everything you need. We enjoyed our stay here, room was cosy and clean. Location is great when you want to visit the village or hike a part of the fisherman’s trail. A big shout out to Mariana, who is by far the best chef we met during our trip in Portugal. Do not hesitate to join the diner at Caso do Lado.

What a wonderful place to stay - stylish, super comfortable and clean, with a great location and delicious breakfast! The owner Tomás was super friendly, provided us with many excellent recommendations and made sure everything with our stay was great! We look forward to returning to Casa do Lado, and this time try the dinner prepared by Mariana! :)

Friendly family business, perfect location, very nice room with attention to detail. Nice that there was a seating area in the room. Really good breakfast with fresh products. Thank you!

Just that the bathroom is not private enough in my opinion, but this is a minor detail.
