A great place to stay with great food and very nice staff

Comfortable 1 night stay in cosy pub

Didnt have breakfast. Enjoyed beer garden and evening meal which was very nice and reasonably priced

Bit gloomy inside . Car park , fine for us cos we arrived early bit busy later on.

a need to spend some time on maintenance within the property and and the car park

nice friendly staff very helpful couldn’t do enough for you.

Staff excellent, property in need of investment to bring it up to standard.in need of refurbishment.

Breakfast room good, food limited selection good full breakfast, limited menu but reasonably priced and well cooked.

Bar and bedrooms in very much need of attention and refurbishment.

Could be great but was very disappointing

The bedroom was very comfortable.

The greeting was awful - we felt ignored. And the bar / restaurant was not inviting at all. We ate out and then stayed in our room. We also went elsewhere for breakfast.

Served b fast to late Got moved from evening meal table As they had double booked it Then ask me to sit at a messy bar So cancelled evening meal and got no breakfast Very disappointing

Another short break

Since our last visit rooms redecorated, new comfortable beds. Food including breakfast excellent. Drinks reasonably priced. Will definitely be revisiting.

It's was an enjoyable stay

The breakfast was tasty & the staff friendly. The Inn itself was a little difficult to find as new to the area but eventually having stopped at a petrol stn they directed me. The room itself was clean & tidy & bed comfortable & for an Inn it was actually peaceful sleeping. 😃 I actually spent 3 nights there & definitely good value for money. Recommended

I don't think there's much wrong to be honest. Shaving was maybe slightly awkward as mirror was slightly lower than my height

The staff were excellent and very accommodating. The dogs were very welcome. Location was great. Would definitely recommend and use it again.

Pleasant

The food is excellent and great value. There is a good range of beers, lagers and ciders. All well kept. The staff are friendly. If I lived in the area I would have no problem with this being my local.

This is not a quaint coaching inn. It is next door to the Tesco garage and store. I am sure it may be more attractive in better weather or the time of year (we visited in Feb). Room 7 has an ill-fitting door, so it is difficult not to suffer light pollution from the corridor. It is directly above the bar area so it is very noisy on the weekend (I realise I should have checked whether there was live rock music on the Saturday before booking). It takes 5 to 10 mins before the shower gets hot water.

Really enjoyable - would stay again

Room was great, food was fab - dinner and breakfast. Catered for dogs - we were the for the Championship dog show at Builth Wells. Staff were great

A real pub. Ticks all the boxes.

Friendly staff and customers. Live music gave the inn a great atmosphere. Food was very good and a very reasonable price.

No complaints. It was perfectly adequate for my needs.
