Perfect for my one night stay. Very comfortable and had everything I needed. The host very kindly gave me a lift to the nearby venue where I was attending a wedding.

the breakfast was very nice with fresh home made bread. It was easy to find with plenty of parking. The hosts were very friendly.
The cottage was exactly as advertised. There was nothing to fault

The house was perfectly located as we were at a family wedding 2 mins up the road. The owners were lovely and the house was bigger than it looked in the photos which was a nice surprise. The golf course was down the road so the boys were able to go there. The food places close to the house were lovely. We would definitely recommend it to friends & family if they were to use this function venue.

Breakfast options provided were very simple - cereals, toast etc. Perfectly adequate, but very simple. The rooms were clean and tidy and pleasantly furnished. Kris was very welcoming and we had a nice chat upon my arrival.
The weather was reasonably cold during my stay and the wooden Venetian blinds in the bedrooms did nothing to keep the rooms warm. Suitable drapes would have made for a much cosier night, especially given the cement block walls and I did not find additional heating until my second night - of course, the hosts cannot be blamed for this.

Really comfortable and clean accommodation and well set up for a stay. Lovely hosts that even brought us over home baked muffins. Beautiful secluded spot to stay and handy to nearby wedding venues
Bed set up was a little random, I would've expected the two bedrooms to have the double beds not one with singles but it was fine for a night

The food provided for breakfast was plentiful and good value. It is a lovely quiet location on between Westgate shopping area and Kumeu. Multiple beds which would suit families or in our case three adults, one couple and one single, comfortable and plenty of extra bedding.
Nothing.

All was good,

The location was convenient to the function we attended.
The breakfast wasn't very appealing at all. The loaf of bread wasn't good quality, it wasn't fresh and the bag had been left opened and partly used. There was only maragine, no butter. The crumps had a 2022 use by date on them. The Shower badly needed cleaning properly inside it and there was black mould forming around the base. The walls are showing signs of rotting out on each side of the shower base, this may have been the reason the damp smell in the cottage. The Wifi was not working when we got there and never worked for the whole time (I received a message about this after we returned home from our stay). The cleaning in general could do with some attention. This place may have been excellent in the past but now has a feeling of lack of care and maintenance.

We liked everything about this place right from the owner calling us to check if we were ok as Auckland was on flood alert. She let us know one road was flooded and gave clear directions to get there safely, including where to detour to find a supermarket. The property is clean and well cared for. The couches are comfy and beds even more so. Kitchen well equipped and there was an excellent range of options for breakfast. Despite being a rural property the shower pressure was fantastic. We would have definitely wanted to stay longer if our trip had allowed.
There was nothing we didn't like. The only thing we would add is that the shower is raised and the step up into it is a challenge for someone who is less able bodied.

Inside the garden of Kumeu Kottage, there is a diverse space of plants, creating a peaceful retreat. There are several unique wineries and vineyards, as well as a strawberry farm nearby. Additionally, there is a restaurant that brews its own beer. Within a 10-minute drive, there is currently the only Costco Wholesale in New Zealand.
There isn't anything we didn't like about Kumeu Kottage. Kris even provided us with a place to buy fresh grapes, and it was amazing to see the fresh grapes harvested from the seemingly endless vineyards.

We were treated very well, hosts were very friendly and accommodating and helped out when the WiFi wasn't working, rooms were very big and comfortable, it was overall clean and we had two lovely nights there, everything was meeting our expectations
WiFi didn't work on my partner's phone because it was too far away and after I got it to work on my phone, it was very slow and it took a long time to load (maybe a WiFi booster would fix the problem?!)

Kris provided us with a Gluten Free breakfast being coeliac, it was a great effort on their part.
Could have used a few more power points

The host was wonderful, very accommodating, and helpful.
Nice kitchen however, there wasn't a hob to cook on, which forced us to have to eat out. I really should've looked into it better.
