Very good food, including good vegan options, comfy and smart room, friendly staff. Great location to access RSPB Ham Wall and Avalon marshes.

Such a lovely cozy pub to spend a little weekend away. The room was so amazing and when the sun was setting the sun shine directly into the room. Such a great atmosphere and the live music was excellent. We had the best time and would stay again in a heartbeat

It was quaint and quirky, with excellent food.
Lack of Wi-Fi downstairs at a time when we needed to be contactable by family.
Were unaware when booking that breakfast was cereal and fruit, provided the night before as it wasn’t a traditional bed and breakfast in that the kitchens weren’t open in the morning. Breakfast was fine, we were just a bit surprised.

Beautiful location in a quaint pub surrounded by corn fields. The room was very thoughtfully furnished and decorated in what I describe as Shabby chic. Amazing bath tub.

Lots of character inside bar/restaurant. Room fully equipped with mod cons, beautifully decorated. Plenty of tea/coffee, replenished daily. Friendly staff
No designated car parking for guests staying in rooms.

The rooms were lovely, you can tell effort and attention went into the decor, the art, the furniture choices all make it feel cosy and fun. The owner lending us a pack of cards made the first night a fun one. The dinner was lovely, its worth popping into the restaurant, our evening was livened up by a live band.
The lack of hot breakfast and the breakfast yoghurts not being replenished.
Check out is a bit early.
The location means you must drive or take taxis.

The eclectic decor of the room which was very well presented. The pub itself is full of character and spacious. The food was delicious.
Car parking can be tricky.

Having selected a superior room with a balcony, we were rewarded being able to sit outside looking over the stream to fields and an abundance of wildlife.
The room was spacious and comfortable, having hot drink facilities. It has a spacious walk-in shower.

The staff were, as always, fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. The food delicious as well. We stayed in the room with the balcony and slept so so well. This wasn't our first visit and won't be our last!!

This is a 70's theme throwback which is a hidden gem. Very spacious room with absolutely everything you could need for your stay. Good quality ingredients for breakfast. Don't be put off by the hallway which is a little grubby and tired. Will be returning.
Disappointed with one of the meals although the manager/owner couldn't be more apologetic.

Room was beautiful and one of the most comfortable we’ve stayed in. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and it was honestly one of the best meals we have had! Amazingly creative and beautifully cooked! Staff were always friendly. Would definitely recommend!

We loved everything about the Sheppey. Food was amazing.
The owners and staff are super friendly in a relaxed informal manner.
The bedroom was very comfortable...
The views at the back over the stream are very special.
And the walks around the levels take you into a different world!
We especially love how quirky the pub is.
Totally unique...

A big, spacious bedroom and bathroom and a large comfortable bed. Pub is in a quiet location.
The pub/restaurant closes on Sunday evenings and all day/evening Monday. So no evening meal option on these days.
Breakfast is just a bowl of cereal and fruit in the bedroom.
No real housekeeping done in the bedroom beyond day or arrival.

Fabulous pub with great accommodation, great food, great ales, great service. It is in a lovely location just 10 mins or so drive from the town. A very warm welcome, a very comfortable stay.
There is nothing that we didn't like - we are regulars to this venue, first time we have stayed - didn't disappoint.

Everything. Lovely room with bath. Little extras such as vegan milk and yoghurt for one of our party. Meals in pub were exceptional. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great food, bit pricey.
Room was comfortable and quirky. Good breakfast.
Bit out of the way. Parking a bit hit and miss.

Thé free standing bath was awesome, and the furnishing were really modern. The bed was super comfortable literally didn’t want to get up! Loved the retro telephone box in the room a really quirky feature.
Although the restaurant wasn’t open one morning we were left muesli, fresh strawberries, blueberries, milk, orange juice, tea/ coffee which was a lovely touch.
Thé staff were really helpful and let us check out an hour later than the checkout time which was really kind of them.
Slightly dusty in the room but otherwise couldn’t fault thé accomodation.

the location was good and the pub/restaurant was bright and airy.
We found some of the pictures and books dark and disturbing and they will not suit everyone. These gave the room a heavy and dark feeling.
Breakfast consisted of yoghurt and strawberries in a fridge in the room.

Ben and his staff made us feel very welcome from the very start and the stay for us was brilliant.
Really great food, amazing selection of drinks and the atmosphere was amazing. Couldn't rate this place any higher than 10 out of 10!
We will definitely be going back again soon.

Reception on the TV was poor. But Netflix was working so no real problem

Great place to stay, and in a beautiful and peaceful location! Ben and the staff at The Sheppey were really lovely, and the bar/restaurant had a brilliant atmosphere when we went in on the Friday evening. Would definitely stay there again.

They made us feel very welcome. The room and the restaurant are very quirky and unusual, but the food was excellent.
Breakfast was a really good idea as we could have it at our convenience in our room. Fresh fruit and cereals with fresh coffee and a selection of teas. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room temperature was easily adjusted and a large bathroom with bath and shower with plenty of hot water. It was a great location for our photography and for access to the wildlife reserves.
Nothing although perhaps the breakfast could have had a bit more variety and choice?

The Smart TV
Bed was comfortable.
On arrival, at 16:24, the landlord informed us the room wasn't yet ready. Eventually he showed us to our room, we didn't see him again over the three nights we were there.
We gained the impression that the room was decorated with fashion rather than functionality in mind. There were no chairs, even though the room was big enough for them, and no table at which to eat the 'continental breakfast'.
The lighting was ill thought out and provided little in the way of illumination.
The proprietor had thoughtfully provided a selection of games for the amusement of guests. This included a 1000 piece jigsaw, but nowhere big enough or flat enough to do it.
The room was booked as bed and breakfast, the breakfast supposedly in the form of a breakfast hamper delivered to our door each morning. In reality, the 'continental breakfast' consisted of four individual, single portion, boxes of muesli; two pots of yoghurt; a small bowl containing a few strawberries, raspberries and blueberries; a bottle of orange juice and a bottle of whole milk. We have yet to establish on which 'continent' this would be an appropriate breakfast. It would appear that the supplies were intended to last for the three days of our stay as one box of muesli was consumed on day one, along with a yoghurt and some orange juice. The yoghurt was replaced, as was the orange juice. There was nothing of any substance provided which would qualify as a 'very good breakfast'! Also not replaced were the English breakfast tea bags that we had used on the first night, leaving only a selection of pretentious herbal tea bags. We eventually opted to go out in search of a breakfast that would see us through the morning.
Over the years we have stayed in many types of accommodation but the one common denominator in a bed and breakfast is that you don't need to go straight out and find a cafe because the breakfast you had already paid for was not a breakfast you wanted to eat.
