Ashland is an amazing small town with world-class theater, great dining, beautiful outdoor space, and endless opportunities for entertainment and recreation. Our home is in the heart of Ashland - you can't get any closer to town because the home is literally just steps away from great restaurants, cafes, bars, and the theaters! Just one very short block to the Cabaret and two short blocks to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
Whether you fly into Medford or just drive right into Ashland, once you arrive at out home you really won't have to drive anywhere. If you prefer to explore the area, go wine tasting, or hiking, you are just 10-15 minutes away from days and days of fun.
Our home is very well kept and cared for, but it is a 1907 home with all of the original architectural details and charm. You'll find slanted ceilings, dormer windows, and the original clawfoot tub tucked under a slanted roof. The home is 1275 SF and is cozy and comfortable and perfect if you enjoy awesome historic homes, fun details, and a clean and lovely place to call home. Alternatively, if you are expecting a modern home with big bathrooms and tall ceilings and a tv, you may be a little disappointed, so please make sure to take a close look at our photos and home description. Guests appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, charming location, responsiveness of the owner, and proximity to downtown, shops, and parks.

We were provided with no way to contact the host prior to arrival. Therefore a bit of anxiety about whether there was AC and whether we would receive the door entry code in time. Not everybody (believe it or not) travels with a phone for texts.
6.0 / 10.0
The kitchen was well stocked. Our stay was during winter and the house is hard to keep warm. The steep stairs are not advisable for young children. The upstairs is quite charming. The downstairs bedroom is small with no closet and the livingroom could use a rug to warm it up and a TV! The deck would be a big asset during warmer weather.

We had a wonderful time at your property. It was close to the shopping, food, and plays. Thanks for the chocolate and wine.

We do enjoyed our stay. This cottage is quaint and close to everything. The weather was quite warm and the AC units held up well. We'll book here again for our next stay!

The older Victorian home was a perfect fit for our stay. We loved the coziness. The best part was the location. Easy walks to town, theater, restaurants, and Lithia Park.

We loved our stay at this home! Alla, the owner, was very responsive and attentive. She clearly cares about her guests and wants them to have a wonderful time at her property.
As other reviewers have noted, the location is fantastic and so easy to walk to everything. The house is well stocked and the air conditioning kept the house cool. Beds and pillows comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Clean and inviting home!

Alla's cottage is just as charming in real-life as it is in the photographs and very well appointed. We were a group of 6 and the house never felt crowded thanks to the way everything is laid out. Incredible location- close to the theatres, Lithia Park, the downtown and yet very quiet with a view out over the mountains. We loved the deck with the gas grill for bbq'g, having dinner under the big umbrella and just hanging out. Alla is a super responsive and kind host!

Well supplied kitchen. Bathrooms small and substandard. Plumbing problem with toilet. We found beds too soft and bed pillows too large.

Lives up to the photos
The house is charming, light-filled, well prepared for a vacation stay. The hosts have provided many small amenities that are especially welcoming when you've driven all day to get there. The location is absolutely prime - near the Shakespeare theater and just up from the main shopping and restaurants. Our questions were answered promptly. The kitchen is well stocked, the back patio area is large, and the neighborhood quiet, it was perfect for the three of us. During our six-day visit, Ashland was having a hot streak, over 100 degrees some days, so we spent more time than usual in the house. We were grateful to each have our own room, a big table for playing games, and a full-sized refrigerator. This is a place I would return to.

Perfect location, lovely stay
This quaint charmer was perfect for we four OSF attendees. Clean, cozy, and comfortable, with an unusually well-appointed kitchen and plenty of space to relax - living room, dining table, or outdoor deck. A ten-minute walk to theatre, market, shops, and restaurants. Owners were communicative throughout our visit to ensure we were comfortable, and we had no concerns. Some reviews remark that the bathrooms are small - we four women got all our showering, makeup and hairdrying done with no worries! :) We hope to visit the OSF again and would love to stay here next time.

Bachelorette Celebration
This place was SO CUTE. The location was perfect for walking downtown to celebrate and the neighborhood was quiet when we were ready to sleep!
Would definitely stay again! The queen bed in the room with the twin, was seriously one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on!!

Great location, perfect place
We had a great time in this home. The location was just fantastic, right off the main downtown street in Ashland and walking distance to great coffee, food, and shops. It was also a great base for exploring the surroundings, too. Inside, the house was really well appointed, plenty of bedding and towels, plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The shower is a bit small, especially for tall folks, but everything else about the house was spacious and comfortable. Would definitely come back!

sisters getaway
As sister's we'd never actually had a trip just for the three of us and this location suited our needs perfectly - we each had our own bedroom (we LOVED that there was not a TV!) - and we read, talked, walked around town, dined in town, dined at home, enjoyed wine on the back patio. It was really lovely in all ways. On Friday night - there was more town "noise" - a bar near by and some music in the distance - and there were revelers for some time. Nothing totally disturbing, and expected if you want a location close to the heart of Ashland.

Great location!
This was the perfect place for our family with two teens. We enjoyed having the outdoor deck and being able to walk to everything in town. Easy parking, well-stocked kitchen, and air conditioning + fans were all appreciated.

Great location, lovely area
Thank you for a great stay!
This place has a lot of charm. If you are expecting to cook meals at home know that the stove and refrigerator are very small. We had to do numerous grocery runs instead of stocking up once for the weekend. Fortunately, you are within walking distance of Safeway. The deck is lovely for morning coffee and evening dinner and drinks. If you have a dog with you know that the backyard deck is not fenced in BUT there are plenty of trails to take them for long bike rides or walks. Enjoy!

Awesome location in downtown Ashland
Amazing location. Old and charming. Very small downstairs master bedroom. Tight small shower downstairs. Small kitchen good for making coffee and frying an egg and making sandwiches - not great for making a big meal. Order take-out from one of the amazing local restaurants. Owner is communicative. While this place technically sleeps 9. I'd say it's a better 4-6 person house given the one shower and the small spaces. Overall, had a wonderful 5 days. It was cozy.

Overall excellent, though I might emphasize in the listing that there is no central heating.
The lack of central heating and any sort of screen/television was a decided plus for me and my family. We played a lot of board games; we appreciated the copy of A Ticket To Ride

Great Location. Easy walk to restaurants, shops & Lithia Park. Nice hikes within a 5 minute drive. Drove up to Crater Lake which was amazing. Lots of dining options in nearby Medford as well.

Adorable house in a great location
Walking distance to downtown and the theatre. Lovely home beautifully and thoughtfully furnished with everything we could possibly need. Enjoyed the covered front porch for morning coffee and the back deck for dinner and cocktails. Great restaurant next door if you don't feel like cooking.
