Stayed here with my wife, 1 1/2 yr old daughter, dog, and my parents. There was plenty of room for everyone and the house is in a great location. Offers plenty of privacy while being close to all of the major attractions in the area. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone and my family and I will be staying here again in the future!

Very nice , comfortable home. Great location near wineries, distilleries, and easy access to Sutton’s Bay, Leland,Traverse City and the dunes area. The kitchen was well equipped and dining table was large enough for game night . Fun trip !!!

We had a great time staying at this home. Had all the essentials needed to make our stay memorable. The location was in great area and close to many wineries, so we didn't need to drive so far. We would definitely make a return visit in the near future.
Thank you, Bill and Jill, for a great stay at your home.

Worked out great for our weekend!

We were 8 adults with 4 cars. The house was very comfortable. It is the best stocked house that I've ever rented. The location was conveniently located between towns so everything was a close drive.

House had superbly equipped kitchen, nice fluffy bath towels, comfy beds, nice patio and firepit. Lots of seating for games and eating. Near downtown Lake Leelanau and driveable distances to Suttons Bay and Leland allowed for access to restaurants and shopping and wineries. Clean house - lots of bikes for use in garage but didn't have a chance to use.

Lovely home with plenty of room for a group of 8. The accommodations and furnishings were top notch. Plenty of dishes, utensils, glasses and stemware for every meal without having to worry about washing them. And of course a dishwasher to handle the overnight cleaning task. Each bedroom has its own air conditioner which helped with sleep - cool and comfortable, and helped mask the noise of the early risers in our group. While the main living area didn’t have a/c, there were plenty of fans to put in the windows and circulate the air. The back patio has a table and chairs for dining and several other types of chairs to use while sitting around the fire pit. Even though the yard is slightly sloped, we were able to play some yard games. We split our time between Leelanau Lake and Suttons Bay so this location was ideal - a very short drive to both. And plenty of restaurants, wineries, ice cream, and activities nearby our rental (check out the Pickleball courts at Herman Park). A big bonus for us was the extra-long double garage. It was deep enough to get our cars during the rain on the last night as we packed them before heading home; with an entrance directly into the house, we were able to pack and not get wet during a downpour. Overall we were very happy with this rental.

We enjoyed the property. Ten of us could sit at the table for meals and games. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, glasses and cookware. The back patio was a nice place to gather in the evenings. An easy drive from Suttons Bay, a great bike trail and many sites.

Quiet, Comfortable and Well Cared For Getaway 3 minutes from Aurora Cellars Wedding Venue
We came up for a wedding and stayed the whole week! We wish we could have stayed longer as our experience was very relaxing and comfortable. The house had everything we could have possibly needed/wanted: a well appointed kitchen, patio with charcoal grill and adirondack chairs, super comfortable & supportive king beds, great water pressure in the showers, washer/dryer, comfortable living room furniture, large dining table and a big yard for our springer spaniel! We loved it and very highly recommend the property.

Bill and Jill’s home was very relaxing and beautiful! Plenty of clean towels and dishes/mugs. The home was big (lots of nice bedrooms) and plenty of outdoor space. We loved the outdoor space (fire pit and BBQ grill).

Summer escape
What a great property! Perfect location for exploring the traverse city/leelanau peninsula area. Cant say enough good things about the house. Reminds me of the early days of VRBO, before impersonal rental mill houses became more the norm, where you were renting houses people actually lived in. It was perfectly appointed, comfortable, spacious and felt like you were staying at a friends house for the week. Had a way out in the country feel while being only a few minutes from Sutton’s Bay. This is one of our favorite areas of northern Michigan and this house was a perfect fit for our family. Thanks for sharing!!

We were impressed by this very cute, convenient cottage close to everything including Lake Leelanau, Sutton’s Bay and Leland. A well stocked and organized kitchen, and deck with fire pit, we enjoyed baking, barbecuing, and broiling. A quiet location with trails adjacent to walk, and bird watch. Bedrooms were comfortable and very clean and with several living levels to enjoy, the cabin was a very nice place for our extended family to rest and relax! Thank you, we hope to return again soon!

For what we were looking to do (e.g. wine tasting, hiking, etc), this property was in a great location! We loved that the house was secluded, which allowed for relaxing evenings around the fire pit. We hope to stay again in the future!

I know it was my fault for not noticing, but the lack of air conditioning was a surprise. Other than that the property was as advertised.

Fantastic Wine Country Rental
Bill's place is absolutely charming. We stayed for a week at the beginning of October and loved everything about the house.
The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is the most well- stocked one I've ever seen in a rental home - you can cook basically anything you want. Everything was sparkling clean.
There are games, books and movies to keep you entertained. The property itself is also wonderful, with tons of trees, tall grasses and long walking paths to amble around. The back patio has a firepit and charcoal grill, and it is a totally relaxing place to spend a night stargazing.
The house is a short drive to Suttons Bay, Leland, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes and a number of farms and vineyards. The town of Lake Leelanau also has some nice wine tasting rooms within walking distance.
Next time we are in the area, we would be thrilled to stay here again. We'd recommend this home unreservedly.

Great home!
The house was very clean and well stocked. It was spacious enough for our dog and baby to crawl around. We especially loved the kitchen and backyard. The home is right off a main road so you just have to be careful with pets. The house is also close to many wineries which is a plus! The owner, Bill, was very nice and quick to reply to my questions. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend the home to others!

This was perfect for a bachelorette getaway weekend. Super cozy and just felt like home.

Wonderful Michigan vacation!
Our family of 5 and 3 year old Labrador had an entirely fun and relaxing time in Lake Leelanau and Northern Michigan. The hosts were very responsive, the house was very clean and comfortable (perfect for us; we did not use the basement bedroom), the kitchen was well equipped, convenient washer/dryer, and the outside space was such a lovely, peaceful escape. We could have stayed another week! The house is close to everything--Sutton's Bay, Leland, Northport, multiple wineries, farmer's markets, biking, Good Harbor Bay beach, and even Glen Arbor/Sleeping Bear Dunes. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!!!

Nice Property but No A/C
Family stayed at this property, was Clean but lower level which needs some TLC mainly because this home DOES NOT HAVE Air Conditioning which makes the lower level musty and upper level HOT on warm days. This is kind of important in summer months as it does get in the mid 80's and makes it impossible to relax and get away from the heat in the middle of the day when you come home to take a break. Kind of hard to leave your pet here when you are out for the day cause there is no place cool to keep your pet. We came up and had the whole family here as my Daughter was getting married in Glen Arbor which was NOT FUN trying to get ready for the wedding at 4pm on an 84 deg day at this property. I feel this property having no A/C should be one of the first things people should know about any property instead of a surprise after you pay the bill and drive 800 miles in the summer time. There were PLENTY of other properties WITH A/C for the same money in the same area. If you like your A/C consider this before you decide.

Great Escape
Owner was very friendly and helped us out a couple times through stay. Kitchen was fully stocked and nice wet bar area for drinks. We had two kids who were crawling around and the steps made us nervous, but there was a safety gate provided for one set of stairs. We were concerned about not having AC. I will say the first night was rough, but the rest of the week we had perfect weather and the house got a very nice breeze when windows were opened. It was a bonus having access to garage to store bikes and kayak. Very cool property. Tons of things to do around the area. We would stay again.

Terrific Week in Lake Leelenau!
Our family of six (plus two labs) enjoyed a beautiful week at Bill and Jill's home in Lake Leelenau. Starting with the initial communication with Bill through to our departure, we had a terrific and seamless stay. The house had plenty of space with each of the kids having their own room. The kitchen was well stocked and the dining room offered plenty of space for our family for the couple of meals we had at home. The family room was also roomy with a nice TV for some last night movie watching. Another highlight was the foosball table (really good table!) in the basement bedroom which we used daily. The back patio was very nice with great breezes and a fire pit and there is a wrap-around deck in the front, but we didn't use that area as much. The side yard was great for our dogs too which we put on long leashes while we sat on the back patio. Everything was well-maintained, clean and comfortable. Finally, the location of the house is very central to many quaint towns/attractions - Lake Leelenau, Leeland, Northport, Omena, Sutton's Bay, Glen Arbor, and Empire - which we visited during the week for golf, hiking, shopping, and lots of eating!

Excellent spacious home in beautiful area
We spent a week here with three families, including teenagers and an infant. The house was perfect for our needs. The setting is very private. The house is very well equipped. We found everything we possibly might have needed, especially in the kitchen, except a cherry pitter 🙂
It was a super hot week and a/c would have been nice at night, but there are fans in all rooms and that worked out ok.
We especially loved the patio space, it was spacious and private and ideal for nightly BBQs and fires. When the fire pit gave out, Bill was extremely responsive and brought a new one the next day.
We had an amazing week and would definitely book this property again!

Great Place and location for group
We have stayed at this property in Lake Leelanau with a group of 10 (5 couples). It is PERFECT for us for our annual "Wine Weekend". Great location, kitchen, gathering space and private bedrooms. There has been a few years that this home was not available and we regretted renting another home. We keep on coming back!!!
