Come enjoy the public beach, fishing pier, kayak tours, biking around town, or golf either a Nicklaus or Palmer course. Do a wine tasting at Chatham Vineyards, sample local beer at the Cape Charles Brewing Company, or sample spirits at the Cape Charles Distillery. You can enjoy lots of outdoor activity or just a lazy day around town.
The town continues to grow adding new shops and restaurants. Beautiful marinas and local watermen bring in fresh seafood at the Harbor.
The beautiful Victorian home is an easy walk to the beach and just 2 blocks from the main street Mason Avenue to experience shopping and restaurants.

we arrived to find the air out on the first floor but Chesapeake property's was on it they put in some portable units to keep it cool . the house was perfect for our large family group . the children had plenty of room to play . the beach chairs were a welcome addition to the house . it could use some new cookware the pans were not in the best shape but we made it work . thanks for a wonderful stay !

This is a wonderful quiet spot with easy proximity to the beach and to the main street with all the great restaurants and shops. The house has everything you need and then some. Everything is comfortable and clean. The deep front porch is the perfect place to read and the screened in porch in the back is a wonderful place for meals. Will definitely stay here again.

There were eleven of us-- three generations of family-- staying for the Thanksgiving holiday. We all loved the house. It's roomy and comfortable and the location next to the park and playground was a plus. We would happily stay there again.

This is our 4th year of renting in Cape Charles and our experience was fabulous. We had from 7 months to 71 in our home and there was something for everyone. Had great weather, and the activities were plentiful (i.e. the concert at the park, the Juggler at The Cape Charles Memorial Library, marine science at the Love sign, the garden activity at Our Roots Community Garden, the Lucky Duck contest, the Brown Dog, the great restaurants, Robyn’s Shore to Table, and the great addition of Mini-golf.)

Of 7+ stays over the years, this house was probably the best overall. Such a solid and comfortable place - spacious and cool front porch, screened in back porch (take that mosquitos), cool (as in AC that does the job) third floor.

We are repeat guests to this great house. Perfect for our family. Love the location next to the park,near downtown and a few blocks from beach. The large front porch is perfect for sitting and enjoying the breeze. Accommodations are great. Extra large dining table, 2 sitting areas, washer and dryer, large kitchen with seating at the counter area and several TV viewing areas. Look forward to our time there every year.

6 kids under 12 and 6 adults fit comfortably in this house. The management company is one of the best in this area (I have stayed 4 times in Cape Charles with three different companies……this one is the most organized, thorough, efficient, responsive, communicative.). The cleaning crew does a perfect job. For our group, this is the best location. You can see the park from the back yard, and using the buddy system, we were comfortable sending the kids to the park on their own, a little ahead of when an adult could join them. They loved the independence, and we loved the security and freedom. We rented two golf carts from CC Ryder Rentals (another positive experience), and used the carts to go to the beach. It’s only a short walk or cart ride to the beach. Our vote for future trips to Cape Charles is to be close to the park, a few blocks from the beach, and two blocks from the Main Street (Mason Ave), which is where the bakery, ice cream, coffee, restaurants, candy, retail shops are. This house and management company check all the boxes!

The house is absolutely beautiful. It's so big that there's plenty of space to spread out. There was a little mold in the showers but other than that the house was spotless! Very clean, well equipped, nicely furnished and the screened in porch was delightful. The garbage disposal didn't work upon arrival but they sent someone immediately to look at it. We had a wide range of people staying in the home from 65+ all the way down to infant babies just learning to walk and everyone was able to sleep and live comfortably in the home for a week. The kitchen, dining room, and back deck are perfect for large family meals with ample seating and room to operate.
Although the house might be a bit further from the beach you really don't even notice it if you rent a golf cart, which is an absolute must! It's a total game changer for going to the beach and just throwing all your stuff on the cart.
Being so close to the part was a game changer for us and our kids. In the evening the kids would go to the park and play while the adults could hang out and relax.
The home is incredibly spacious, and the front porch is a little slice of Americana. Everyone had a blast! We would come back in a heartbeat.

Staying at Classically Current was a last-minute decision, we were lucky they had availability for when we went. The home is large and open and has plenty of flexibility in sleeping arrangements. We enjoyed the front porch and the large dining area where the whole family could eat. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, and then some. Grill was great! The beach chairs were great, and it was nice to have a couple of options for floaties. The bikes were used all week! The home backs up to a beautiful park that was lit up in the evening. Walking to the beach and restaurants was easy. Perfect stay for families! The pictures really should be improved as the home has a wonderful charm like pocket doors and transom windows that have old hardware. My only disappointment is that there was what looked like a broken bowl with sea glass on a shelf and ended up being a broken shade from a lamp that we didn't even see. So make sure to look closely for anything that is out of place or damaged, as they don't always stay on top of this and then charge the wrong guest.

The house was beautifully renovated. The screened-in back porch and open front porch had an incredible breeze, which made for lovely evenings and mornings. The amenities in the house were great (we were able to cook anything and everything we wanted because the kitchen had all the appliances and cookware one could need). The house is only four blocks to the beach and one block to the cute little shopping area. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent this house again. Our only complaint was that the management company was slow to respond to a plumbing emergency (it was related to the renovation and we were able to turn off the water to the affected area). The leak happened in the evening and the management company said they would come early the next morning. They called late morning to say they would come in the afternoon. That meant a person in our party wasted a morning sitting at home, which was frustrating.

The team at Chesapeake Properties was great to work with and went the extra mile to be responsive. However, the house had a half dozen light bulbs burned out, mold around the bathroom vents that caused illness in at least two guests, and ants in two of the bedrooms including one of the beds. There were only two bath towels in the house for our 11 guests upon arrival. The house itself is nicely updated and in a wonderful location. It just needs a bit more attention from the crew maintaining it.

We had a wonderful time and for most of my family, it was the first visit to Cape Charles. The property was ideal for our situation as far as the number of bedrooms/baths/location, etc. Next visit we will try to definitely arrive on a Thursday, as some of the restaurants (due to the virus) were only open on the weekends. Also, we were so close to the park that we could listen to the Saturday night band from the back porch.

Everything about our stay, was fabulous! The home is beautiful, an old Pensylvania Railroad home, I believe. Nicely restored, it backs up to a great park and it's a short walk to the beach, on a beautiful street. Anything not perfect, is too trivial to mention. We had 10 people, not one complaint. The house is better than the photos. The porch is wonderful, for morning coffee and/or an evening glass of wine; there was fresh mint growing in the backyard, we picked a sprig or two for tea. From first contact, Jen @ Chesapeake Properties was great to work with & could not have been any better, so customer service was excellent. I will definitely recommend this property & would love to return. Some of the group made a day trip to Assateague, and one to Kiptopeake, a few of us stayed in Cape Charles the entire time. Very relaxing, in all the best ways.

Fantastic home with easy access to a fabulous beach for families with small children. The house was beautifully renovated and easily accommodated 12 of us. Great to have the AC in the sweltering heat of the summer and a great back porch with the fan to cool us down over dinner. The beach has beautiful sand and the water is extremely shallow for a large stretch, especially at low tide. We would definitely recommend for large family vacations!

I used this home for a corporate retreat in Cape Charles. The house is lovely and was perfect for us. The kitchen is updated and easy to cook in - we even did a team building exercise where we cooked an entire meal. There was enough room for the 7 of us to be in the kitchen working together. All bedrooms and bathrooms are updated and comfortable and the front porch is a great place to have morning coffee or a cocktail at the end of the day.

Our experience at Bay Fever more than met our expectations. There are plenty of spaces to relax on one's own, and in the company of others. We especially loved the spacious front porch with it's comfortable rockers and chairs. The kitchen is "to die for." Everything we needed to prepare meals was at our fingertips. Our family stayed at Classically Current from July 10-17. Kim Starr and her team at Chesapeake Properties were kind enough to make everything extremely simple. The house was beautiful and accommodated our group of 9 including three young kids and six adults. It was nicely positioned a few blocks off of the Ocean close to the Town, backed up to the Park and a short walk to the Beach. I'd recommend to a small group looking for a nice getaway.
