Mooie ligging, zeer vriendelijk personeel. Iedereen super aardig, ongedwongen en relaxed.
Kamer op tweede verdieping, twee steile trappen. Niet handig voor mensen die minder goed ter been zijn.

Prachtige locatie, aan het water. Gezellig, sfeervol oud schip. Goede faciliteiten, super vriendelijk personeel

Rufus is located in the middle of the frisian countryside with only other farms around it. It has a very relaxing vibe that will take you out of your daily routines and instantly put you in a mood to enjoy the moment and not worry about anything else. There are many acitivities that you can do (rent out sailboats, SUP etc.) And they have a cute cafe/bar right on the waterfront. There you also get your breakfast; you pre-order the breakfast the day before so you get exactly what you want and nothing gets wasted, we really liked that. This is not a five-star hotel, so don't expect that standard. But the room and the facilities were clean and in good condition.
This place is obviously dedicated to be sustainable and eco-friendly. This is why we didn't like it that the towels were sealed in plastic, although we understand that it is to ensure the guest that the towels are fresh and clean.

There are large groups partying over night.Loud music, you feel the beats in bed. Nobody from the property is staying there overnight, nobody picking up the phone calls during night. It’s a good place if you would like to join your neighbours ’ party. If you want to sleep, find somewhere else.
I cannot think about anything after a night without sleep.

Super nice host. There's possible to rent a SUP or sails boat (you don't need to have a license in the Netherlands)

Such a unique experience - a stay in the true Dutch countryside. If you have ever wanted to attend a canal family vacation camp and get the feel of a traditional Dutch way of life, this is the place!

"Rufus aan het water" is a nice place, beautifully situated next to the canal. The place itself is great and they offer any sailing and motor boats renting, which is a wonderful activity with the nearby canals and lakes. We would be happy staying there again.

The rooms are cozy, modern and quiet. Bathroom is nicely renovated and they also offer the possibility to use an electric sauna.
All was well with the property:

The rooms are cosy, clean and modern with a nice view. You can rent sailingboats. We had two bedrooms with one bathroom. This private part was called " Noflik".
The two private rooms were cold in the evening because the heating did not work. In the morning it was OK. The kitchen and sitting area are communal, not private.
