We brought our extended family here for a small reunion and it was just what we were looking for! Lots of space for privacy as well as open spaces for being all together. Beautiful quiet location walkable to Southwest Harbor shops/restaurants, easy drive to Acadia loop for those beautiful hikes. Marc is a wonderful host.

The house layout was perfect for us! There were 8 adults and 2 boys age 12. Downstairs was a bedroom and den and full bath and small kitchen. The 2 boys and their parents slept and played on the lower level. The den had 2 twin size sleepers so the boys and their adults were together. The rest of us were upstairs. The space was great! There were 3 1/2 bathrooms upstairs. The best upstairs feature was the deck, we spent lots of time there. Downstairs had a huge table inside a screen room. We had several meals on the screen porch. There was lots of outdoor space for the boys to roam and ride bikes. We felt very safe and comfortable. Marc the host provided everything we needed for a lobster boil which was fantastic! Two large grills were outside too! We cooked much of our food outdoors. Loved it.

We stayed at this house while in SWHarbor for a family reunion. Marc was wonderfully accommodating. The house is beautiful and the grounds are wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The property exceeded our expectations. The photos didn’t do it justice. This is a great property for a large family vacationing together. A short distance from Bar Harbor and the quiet serenity of a small vacation community.
The town of Southwest Harbor is amazing, everyone is very nice.

Fantastic house, well suited for 5 couples, 10 adults. We had a great time and the pavilion was perfect. Marc was very helpful with local recommendations and information. We had no trouble or issues with the house and would highly recommended it!

Week at the Green Pavilion
The Green Pavilion was excellent for our family. The owner/manager is helpful, available, interested in making our stay good. Lots of space, comfortable beds, abundant linens and towels and all the extras for bathrooms and kitchen. There is a Hospitality Suite with lots of DVDs. The TV in our house worked great for that. There is a green space for corn hole and outdoor events like frog catching. Fire pits available which we did not find time to use but next time. There are other cottages within the property but all are nestled in the woods and never heard or saw anyone else. For us it was a great week!

Great Property/ Perfect location
This place is amazing and we would definitely recommend booking it! Just be aware that the prohibition against cooking lobster actually extends to anything “fragrant.” if your group doesn’t cook no big deal but if you do like we did nearly every night then you should adjust your menu plans accordingly.

Fantastic Trip
The Pavilion was great! Two families of 14 people total fit into the property and we truly enjoyed the location, fire pit, porches, and the property manager was responsive and very cognizant of our needs. I would highly suggest this property as a family vacation for all families.

Great time at the pavilion
We had 11 of us, extended family. The pavilion is a great house for a large party in a great location.
Everything was clean and ready for us. The owners went above and beyond by providing soaps, shampoo, and body wash in all the bathrooms and soap in the kitchen.
One thing that is a bit misleading is that this is not one house on 8 acres of property, but Its several houses on the 8 acres of property, so the house is not quite as isolated as one might think. The pond area and firepit areas are all shared amongst the houses on the property, so those are first come first serve, but we had no issue getting to use the firepit area.
Otherwise we had a great stay in a great location. Southwest Harbor, while it still has traffic and some crowds, it definitely is the more quiet side of Acadia as compared to Bar Harbor which I found to be more crowded than my liking. With that said, Southwest Harbor still has some viable options for some tourist shopping and also for eating out.
All in all a great stay!

A Spacious house in a quiet neighborhood, so close to the town of Southwest Harbor.
This house was fantastic for our family. We were 5 grown adults-4 daughters and our 81 year old mom. We each had our own bedrooms. Comfortable beds and 5 separate bathrooms! We used the upstairs kitchen, which was roomy, supplied with lots of appliances and suited our individual cooking needs. A comfortable living room and big dining table. The place was clean and in good shape. We noticed a couple of things that could use repair, slow drainage in one of the bathroom sinks and one of the deck arm chairs had a missing screw. These are small things that can easily be repaired and did not affect our stay. The hosts, Victoria and Mike were great, accessible and informative. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Location
We really enjoyed our stay and Mark is an excellent host. However, the listing leads the renter to believe that the property includes 8 acres. It doesn't, it's one of many properties on 8 acres.

Perfect spot for family get together
What a great house and location for our get together. We were 9 adults(siblings with spouses) and had the entire house. Having 2 kitchens and living areas was very nice, as was having our own bathroom for each bedroom. The house is in walking distance (2 blocks) from the town of Southwest Harbor and food, bars, shopping and activities. We spent a couple of days at Acadia and exploring the other parts of the island. There are some amazing restaurants in Bar Harbor(highly recommend Havana). Marc was a wonderful host and very communicative. We would come back!

We are a group of 13 ladies who have been traveling together for 25 years, and though we rarely are all able to go we still need a place that will allow each of us to sleep in our own bed, enough bathrooms for that many women, and a big table and seating for dominoes, food, and lots of conversation. Two refrigerators helped and the walking distance to town was fabulous. The owner was gracious and attentive.

Great place in a beautiful location
Stayed there with a couple of adults and kids and everyone had a good time between hiking, walking to the town, or the kids playing by the pond, it was very fun and relaxing. The hosts are very gracious and very reasonable and accommodating.

Great family house
Three generations stayed and the set up worked very well. Plenty of room for kids and adults to do their own thing. Great location- loved that we could walk to town. The owner greeted us and was readily available by text when we needed him. Glad we chose this house

The property exeeded our expectations. Marc was easy to communicate with and quick to repond.
The property was excellent for our extended family. The location was ideal and we highly recommend it for large families. It's location is convenient for walking into town and Southwest Harbor is significantly less crowded that Bar Harbor.

SUPER CLEAN!
There is way more to say about this place and the managers than "super clean." The home is very organized and all the necessities were provided (linens, towels, kitchen/cooking supplies). We had 14 in our party, ages 8 months to 70 years old and there was plenty of space for everyone to sit, relax, take a quiet walk, and outdoor areas for the kids to roam... Conveniently located near Acadia Nat'l Park, which was the main attraction for us. Manager was available at check-in and responded to texts promptly when we had questions. I don't even have constructive criticism to provide. Would recommend to anyone.

Southwest Harbor stunner
Well appointed house with plenty of room for a family destination vacation. Close to hiking, boating, sightseeing in Acadia National Park. Marc was an excellent and responsive host. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet home within easy driving distance to Bar Harbor.

Acadia
We had a great vacation in Maine. Stayed in Anna's Pavilion. Perfect place to stay. Centrally located, very clean with lots of room to move about. Would definitely go back again. High recommend for a large family or extended family.

Peaceful, spacious, convenient
Our family of ten (three generations) stayed in this spacious home in peaceful Southwest Harbor during a gorgeous week in June. The sleeping quarters and bathrooms accommodated us nicely. The main kitchen served well, too--we cooked most mornings and evenings. Although we didn't cook in the second kitchen, the extra fridge and freezer was handy. The grill is large and well-maintained, and we took advantage of the fire pit. It was terrific to be able to walk to town, and we appreciated the hosts' recommendations of restaurants, markets, and places to see aside from the beaten path in the Acadia. (We did beat the common path to Bar Harbor and the east side of MDI, too--it's an easy drive.) We had a truly wonderful week in Anna's Quietside and will all remember it fondly.

House really fit our needs!
We were trying to get housing at Bar Harbor for a short tag on to a trip to Maine. Hard to find the size house we needed, so we expanded our search to Southwest Harbor and we were so glad we did. Southwest Harbor is a nice retreat from the busy-ness of Bar Ahrbor and the house was a treasure. Well equipped - best VRBO kitchen on the planet and owners were super accommodating and friendly! When we return we will stay there. So convenient to so much that we would have missed if we had stayed in Bar Harbor! Clean, bed linens and towels were super fresh, and there was room for everybody and more! No hesitation in giving this two thumbs up and five stars!

Fabulous!
The home was perfect for 11 of us celebrating my Mother's 90th Birthday. Marc and Victoria were great hosts...very helpful. The outdoor patio on the top floor and the large covered porch on the lower level made me feel like I was at a large resort instead of a rental home that was only for us. We used lobster pots and propane that Marc made available along with everything else he has in his community area (rice cookers, blenders...you name it they had it) to boiled lobsters for dinner one evening. They even have a fire pit with all the wood and supplies you need for a campfire. Walking distance to Southwest Harbor and only minutes to drive to Acadia National Park make this must location for a family vacation or reunion.

Great Place For Large Families And Groups
We were a large group (17) kayaking around Mt Desert Island. Anna's Quietside Cottages are in a great location in Southwest Harbor to base ourselves. The property itself is very peaceful with great amenities - if your cottage doesn't have it, just check the Hospitality Suite as it's probably in there. The cottages are very well built and the rooms are very comfortable. We stayed in the Pavilion, Lookout and Rose and all 3 were fabulous.
Our cons: The couch in the Lookout has seen it's time I think. No composting. As a group, we produce a lot of organic waste that just went into the garbage. As we're not entirely sure how the waste is sorted in the area - it just seems a shame for us to have that go to a landfill.
Our pros: Wi-fi works everywhere; campfire pit (even though we didn't have time to use it); Weber bbq's (good bbq's make a big difference!); excellent communication from hosts; patio spaces for get togethers and quiet time.
Would definitely come back here!

Modern, Gorgeous, Elegant Retreat in Maine!
Just came back from another great stay at Anna's Quiteside in Southwest Harbor, Maine. This time we booked the Pavillion for our family reunion.
It was perfect, an easy walk into the charming town for restaurants and the screened in area fit us all when we wanted to relax and eat at home. There were lobster burners so we were able to make lobster one night and then relax by the fire pits.
Southwest Harbor is also a great area to stay in if you want to explore Acadia National Park! We hiked up Flying Mountain, where you can easily park at the bottom of and hike up. It's two minutes away by car. Great views!

Total Relaxation and Enjoyment
Our stay at Anna's Quietside Cottages was something that my family needed, unbeknownst to us. The relaxed atmosphere and the way it put our usually very busy family at ease, brought a level of serenity and togetherness that had been missing in our everyday life. Marc and Victoria do a tremendous job making everyone feel safe and welcome. We all highly recommend Anne's Quietside Cottages and the Mount Desert Island area, especially Southwest Harbor.

Our stay at the Pavilion at Anna's Quietside Cottages
The stay at the Pavilion at AQC included our family totaling 13. The venue was roomy, clean, and created a comfortable atmosphere for each one of us. The location was central to all of the activities we had planned for and the wooded glen that surrounded us was picturesque. The Pavilion was perfect even when it rained, because we were able to enjoy the covered screened in porch on the first level. The upper level deck was a great place for us to sit and relax. A fire ring was provided and we enjoyed sitting around the campfire on a perfect Maine evening. There was enough outdoor furniture to accommodate our large family.
There were two kitchens that were fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans, and all the dishes needed. The owner, Marc, provided us with an outdoor propane burner so that we could cook our lobsters. We made dinner on the propane grill as well. Marc was extremely accommodating for anything we needed.
The grounds were beautiful and we saw all of the other rental cottages on this property, which appeared very appealing for any group smaller than ours.
It was very quiet at night, and we felt very safe in this area of Southwest Harbor.
It was a short walk to the town and our family enjoyed walking to get their coffee in the morning.
What a great place to stay to enjoy the Mystique of Maine!

Loved the property and the house. Used fire pit, kids loved pond, lovely area.
House was perfect for large family. Very clean. Enough of everything to cook or serve a family of 13. Marc set us up for fantastic lobster boil. Loved the screened in porch at night and the upper porch in the afternoon. Everyone had space. Plenty of hot water to run three showers at a time. Close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor as well as the little town of Southwest Harbor. Best ice cream at Mainly Maine on way to Bar Harbor. All of us enjoyed our stay here. Would recommend Anna's Quietside Cottages to anyone.

Clean, Quiet, Lovely --- Great Location
This is our second time staying at one of Marc & Victoria's properties, so we already felt confident in making Anna's Quietside the location of our summer reunion w/ family who traveled all the way from Los Angeles to see us ... and Maine. We were not disappointed and they were super-impressed. All was was just perfect!!! Here are some reasons why, in no particular order ...
** The house was exactly as described so we could plan ahead and figure out who would go where beforehand --- my husband's sister's family of four (w/ two grown kids and a hobby-chef husband) and mother all stayed upstairs, were delighted with the accommodations. Rooms are large, airy, comfortable, well-appointed. Beautiful, eclectic decor. So many areas to share & nooks to steal away to for quiet ... (We were downstairs in our very own apartment w/ our younger kids, but we spent most of our quality time upstairs or out and about.)
** Marc and Victoria were as helpful and responsive as last summer. What you can't find in their bountiful hospitality suite --- such as an MDI-insider's opinion re: whether to do X or Y on a given day (there's just SO much to do on MDI) --- they are happy to provide. Marc's tips have acted as a virtual tour guide for us, both times.
** Staying at Ana's puts you within safe, easy walking distance of all that Southwest Harbor has to offer, which is a big plus for us. We loved walking to shops, lunch, etc., on the days when we weren't exploring other parts. How nice to return to the tranquility of Anna's! Both times, "neighbors" in common areas --- whether plucking from Anna's vegetable garden, catch-n-releasing pollywogs in the pond, or roasting marshmallows at a fire pit --- have only added to the overall loveliness of this place, which seems to attract people all after the same thing ... a quiet, relaxing, beautiful Maine experience.
** Every time we go, we do a few new things, several repeats too. This visit's highlights: swimming at Echo Lake, visiting Bass Harbor Light House (both sides, now!), numerous hikes (new one: Beech Mtn/cliffs), Asticou and Thuya gardens (getting there via Sargent rd, per Marc), dinner at Havana in Bar Harbor, and exploring Cranberry and Islesford islands via ferry (picked up on Clark Point rd., ~ 1 mile from Anna's) -- just wow!
1000 thanks, Marc & Victoria, for the love and work you obviously put in to keeping Anna's beautiful. Sure it's not nearly easy as you make it look. Looking forward to our next visit!

Absolutely fantastic, beautiful place and people!
Our stay in the Pavilion was fantastic! Each and every one of us had a great, enjoyable and relaxing stay at Anna's. The Pavilion is beautiful, well maintained and plenty big enough for all of us (15 people). There was always a bathroom open and always a place to relax either on the topside deck, lower screened in porch, master deck, living room, etc. We adults didn't even know the kids were around at times it was so quiet and spacious.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Mark (property manager) and his parents who are absolutely great genuine people. They showed us around the property and told us pretty much everything we needed to know. Throughout the week, when we did have a question, Mark would respond to our questions very quickly. During our stay we wanted to cook our own lobster (of course, you have to your first trip to Maine), and Mark was kind enough to set up all the equipment at our place to cook the lobster and stayed to show us how to cook it! You don't get this service at too many places, I promise you that!
Anna's is within walking distance to downtown Southwest Harbor, which include many fine restaurants/bars, ice cream shop, and other
shops of your choice. We traveled a lot to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor which is only about 20 mins away. It was nice to stay at Anna's away from all the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, yet we were only 20 mins away. I would highly recommend staying in Anna's Quietside Cottages and i'm sure my family will be going back soon!!
