Beautiful home from the late 1800s in a perfect setting not far from Bar Harbor
You are close to Northeast Harbor with several breakfast options but it would be nice to have a little more breakfast available at the inn.

The historic and relaxing atmosphere made this the perfect retreat!
We loved our cozy room, the breakfast porch and the handy location of the inn.

The inn is very nice and you can see that the owners inveated a lot of thought in the decor of the public areaa and the room.
Breakfast items were a surprise since in booking it says "no breakfast". There were home made muffins and a cake + coffee, tea and fruit which is nice.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious and included a mini fridge.
Our room was on the third floor with no elevator. It would have been good if we would have known this while booking.
It was very dificult to lock and unlock our room door.
The bathroom ia very small and not comfortable and it doesnt actually have a door so anything one does in the bathroom can be heard in the room

Great continental breakfast - various fresh fruit, coffee, tea, fresh baked goods, oatmeal, etc. The room had a nice kitchen. It also had a working fireplace and each day staff set a fire for us so we just had to strike a match to get it going. They supplied plenty of wood. Very comfortable stay. Note, there is no TV, which we thought was great!

The inn was quaint, comfortable, and sat on a beautiful wooded lot. Our room was exactly what we needed and the location was perfect. This Inn exceeded our expectations and we would go back in a second.

Small bathroom in room 3 requires you to place everything on the toilet seat. Needs to have something for placement of bathroom items besides wall unit.

Everything. From the home made muffins fod breakfast to the great walks/hike just behind the hotel. From the friendly staff to the fire place in the room. Just perfect. Much better than the crowded Bar Harbor.

This is a very quaint place, nestled in the middle of tall trees and a very scenic outdoor area.
Very convenient to downtown by a 10min walk to stores and restaurants.
Staff was wonderful and made us feel loke family.

Things we really liked: (1) fully-equipped, in-room fireplace, (2) kitchenette, (3), umbrellas and beach towels on offer, and (4) privacy.

Very friendly hostess and staff, beautifully decorated mansion and gardens, use of outside grill and fireplace much appreciated
breakfast is more like a snack, no salty food, could be indicated at booking. House close to road like most such hostels in the US.

The innkeeper was kind, responsive, and caring. She eagerly helped a friend of mine (who was not accompanying me on the trip) arrange to have a bottle of champagne in the room upon my arrival.
The homemade muffins at breakfast were delicious. My room was uber clean and comfortably stocked with anything you could need, including a small kitchenette with utensils, paper towels, etc. Another thoughtful amenity -- beach towels!

Breakfast was more than I expected. Location was exceptional- quiet area but a short drive to Acadia.
The fresh flowers throughout the common areas were a wonderful touch! Their scent permeated the rooms!

it was away from the activity at Bar Harbor, but close enough to go and take it all in without a long drive!
No TV….

This is just a quaint and beautiful place to stay.
Silly as it may seem but the shower curtain in the bathroom with the claw foot tub. Because there is no bathroom fan it just seems to want to attack you
