About this house rental
Newly renovated in 2013, this 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath historic Alexander is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in the beautiful Racquet Club Estates neighborhood of Palm Springs. Modern comforts await while classic mid-century details surround you at every turn. From the impeccably decorated interior furnishings to the spacious and inviting pool, gas fire pit and outdoor daybed, this home will provide the perfect setting for your desert escape.
The furnishings, entertainment systems and linens are all new with a blend of contemporary and vintage modernism. Cook anything at all in the well-equipped gourmet kitchen or grill on the 52-inch built-in BBQ. Spend the evening lounging by the fire pit or venture into iconic Downtown Palm Springs where you'll find some of Southern California's finest restaurants, lounges and museums. Downtown is just 5 minutes away by car.
This vacation home is open and bright. Views greet you from every bedroom's large window/sliding doors.
The home sleeps 8, with 3 queen beds and one full bed in the 4 clean and airy bedrooms. The main house offers 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with the detached casita offers a separate, private sleeping arrangement with the pool half bath and outdoor shower just outside. The interior bathrooms have been fully updated with modern tile and fixtures. The home also offers an outdoor shower; perfect after a day of sunbathing and swimming.
Whether you are looking for a quiet getaway with the family or a place to celebrate with friends, this spectacular house is for anyone seeking a true mid-century Palm Springs experience. This beautiful vacation rental is a short drive to downtown Palm Springs, with its many bars, shops, restaurants, and art galleries. Other Palm Springs attractions are similarly a short drive away, from area casinos and gambling, to world renowned spa resorts, tennis, golfing, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.
Racquet Club Estates is a premier neighborhood of Palm Springs. The neighborhood is rich with architecture and history. It should be noted the city has sound ordinances that are strictly enforced. The owner(s) like to stress this home is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but is by no means a “party-central” home. Each guest is expected to be as good a neighbor as the owner(s) themselves. Special events like weddings are NOT allowed.

Reviewer Comments:
A very cute house. Lovely pool but not enough lounge chairs for 8 guests and the furniture that is provided is not comfortable. The biggest issue was the Casita. It is not a realistic bedroom with no drapery for privacy and light blocking. There should be some sort of drape that you can draw. There was a little bit of a bait and switch with saying there was a shower. The bathroom is not connected to the Casita which would be okay but the shower is actually outside with only cold water. Not ideal. The kitchen could use some better tools etc. and the hall bathroom door sticks really bad. This has come up before in reviews a few years back. Overall could use some updates. It was a nice neighborhood and quiet. I would come back if the items above are updated.

My siblings and our spouses got together without our grown children for a relaxing time together. We ate at excellent restaurants, visited Joshua Tree National Park and the local Desert Life Zoo and Botanical Garden, swam and played card games at the house/yard, and, in general enjoyed each other's company during the week. It was fantastic and made more so because of the terrific accommodations.

Perfect spot!
Two of my girlfriends and I stayed for four nights in April. Everything was amazing!
The house was beautiful and so peaceful. We enjoying cooking in the kitchen and on the outside grill. We hung out around the pool our whole stay. It was lovely.
We took two great hikes and ventured downtown for dinner a few times too.
The property manager was helpful the entire time during our stay. So friendly too!
We will be back!

A must stay for mid century enthusiasts
Everything about this property was amazing! The house was tastefully furnished and the layout thoughtfully planned. The yard, pool and hot tub invite relaxation. The staff at Relax Palm Spring insured our check in and check out was fast and easy. They could not have been more helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Unbelievable experience
Where do I start? First, the home is great if you're looking for a true to form mid-century modern. The location on the cul-de-sac gives it a sprawling backyard that extremely private and well maintained. The pictures aren't lying, it's amazing. Kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, den, pool... all comfortable and inviting.
We ran into a few hiccups - which is expected from these homes. The team at Relax Palm Springs was AMAZING. They actually made our stay even better through their customer service. Every issue was addressed timely and professionally (with a dash of humor, as well).
The bottom line is we will stay here again. I highly suggest anyone reading this review just book immediately. Stop second-guessing! You won't regret it. :)

Wonderful!
This was a really fun getaway. The house is great and the pool and spa are amazing. We didn't use the fire pit or outdoor BBQ because it was a heat wave during our visit. Brad, the host, was awesome and the house was very clean and comfortable. We will be back.

Awesome pool area and amazing mountain views
Great location with an awesome pool area and the views of the mountains are great. House is modern and open. We stayed during some unseasonably cool weather, but the pool heater and spa made it an enjoyable expericence and we still swam every day. House is overall in good repair, a few of the doors stick and some base trim needs paint or replacing. Outdoor grilling area and dining area are great additions, which also include a fridge making trips inside for beverages unnecessary while using the pool. Kids loved the rooms and the little bikes. We needed help from time to time and customer service was prompt and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again. Noise ordinances are incredibly limiting, but that is Palm Springs as a whole. Would definitely not recommend the area if you are looking to party and make noise.

Great House!
Perfect house for a Palm Springs getaway! The living room furniture has been updated (need new pictures!) and includes an extremely comfortable sectional and chair. The beds were great. As noted in many reviews, the backyard is fantastic. There are now two fire pits. A new one by the hot tub with great seating is not pictured. The pool and hot tub were heated to a perfect temperature. The location was convenient to the airport and downtown PS, and while you can hear planes, the noise did not bother us. Highly recommend!!

Nice Desert Getaway
We had a good time overall during the Thanksgiving week at this desert mid century house. Generally the management staff was efficient and helpful, responding to questions and/or problems in a timely manner.
A matter of annoyance was airplane traffic, especially those that were early morning departures. Previous guests had not mentioned this, but should be noted.
However, all in all, we enjoyed the house and would recommend it as a place to use as a base in order to explore this area of the country. Visiting Joshua Tree National Park is a must! Closer to the house, the trails behind the Palm Springs Art Museum are terrific and challenging.
We will remember our 2018 Thanksgiving in Palm Springs warmly.
Thank you.

Clean, bright spacious home minutes from everything in Palm Springs!
This home had everything we needed for our girls getaway, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a very nice kitchen- we only made coffe- but well equipped for those who want to coiok. Plush towels and Molton Brown bath products added a touch of luxury, very quiet and that pool!!!! Wonderful way to get away from it all~

Easy PS living!
My family (2 adults, 2 kids, 2 dogs) recently stayed at this property for 4 nights. We found the home to be very clean and well equipped. We felt very at-home. We enjoyed the Sonos sound system, Apple tv and used the outdoor grill quite a bit. The bed linens were pristine and bath towels were thick and fluffy. Beds were very comfortable.
The neighborhood was quiet with the exception of the occasional barking dogs but they did not last long at all. The home is located in the Racquet Club Estates in the north end of PS. There are markets and other conveniences within a mile radius and it's a 10 minute drive downtown. Our little kids enjoyed the location and scooted around the block to Victoria Park to play in the playground.
Scott the property manager was very easy to work with and extremely responsive. The hot tub stopped heating briefly on our last night and he resolved it within a few minutes via an iphone app. Thanks for making our annual PS trip super easy, Scott!
