Accommodation close to the hotel, but not part of the hotel. Facilities in room as are described. If you wish to stay overnight at Silverton, before or after visiting the Daydream mine, and the lookout sights, this is the place to stay. Convenient place to start and end the day in Silverton. Day trips from Broken Hill possible, but staying for sunset at nearby lookout, and then short drive back to purchase meal and stay in accommodation made stay here worthwhile. Good Telstra reception.
Facilities as described do not mention a fridge or wifi, nor does the room have either. So expectations were met, but I find there being a fridge convenient.

History of the property and area
Paying $45 for a scotch fillet steak which took and hour to prepare, served on paper plates. The steak was dreadful, cold and overcooked. The issues with the accommodation added to the overall dissatisfaction. At $185 per night on a good option

Location in central Silverton in iconic hotel
Over priced for basic accommodation.
Food quality average.
Poor Staff attitude to customer service. In the evening we had a meal and booked a table and was told we had to eat at 5.30 to get us done and out of the way in case of other patrons. When we arrived to sit at our table near the fire a staff member told us she usually sat there! In the morning for breakfast the table at the fireplace was occupied by the same staff member who did not move for us or acknowledge us at all.

Modern accommodation. Looked like a great pub to visit in peak season. 5km from mundi mundi lookout.
No wi fi or mobile phone reception at all in the area. Bar closed early almost as soon as checked in at 7pm on a Sunday but to be fair the place was empty of customers.
4.5
The hotel is eclectic, the pub food is nice, and the rooms are clean comfortable and private. You'll come across donkeys, Camels, Dogs, and other animals to look at and pat. Silverton is filled with an interesting history to peruse. Cell reception is good.
The decor is a bit much.

Fantastic high quality accommodation in one of the more interesting parts of Oz. It was a pleasure to stay in the relatively new rooms, and the whole family appreciated the pub meal in the outdoor dining area.
