THE PROPERTY:
Garden Level Suite: 3 Queen Bedrooms | 1 Full Bathroom with Standing Shower | Galley Kitchen | Hot Tub | Landscaping
The fully equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and everything you'll need to create a wine country feast. The living room is appointed with a flat-screen Smart TV with satellite channels and a Roku. The dining area features a beautiful farmhouse table built by the homeowner using 100-year-old redwood. Laundry facilities are also available.
The outdoor private patio offers a hot tub, with seating for six, a high-end BBQ grill, and panoramic views of the orchards and Cascade Mountain Range. Enjoy a cup of Caravan Coffee in the morning or a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir in the evening. The onsite vegetable garden offers fresh produce in the summer months, and the orchards scatter hazelnuts and walnuts in the fall. Neighboring a local park with walking trails and playgrounds, this property has plenty of room to run around and explore!
A NOTE FROM THE HOMEOWNER:
Keith & Debbie, the homeowners, live upstairs full-time. They are kind, fun-spirited, and love having guests stay! Their home sits on five acres mostly made up of hazelnut orchards. This is where they raised their three children for over twenty years. Keith maintains all of the grounds and gardens. If you run into him, he loves to chat, and is very knowledgeable about the area! And they both love to share the bounty of the gardens with guests. Just ask what’s growing and I’m sure you’ll end up with some fresh and tasty produce!
They built the home in 1991 when the Willamette Valley was barely known for wines. Over the last 10+ years they have been shocked by how the area has changed and become a well-known wine region and popular destination for visitors. Once Keith and Debbie became empty nesters, their daughter (and property manager) Megan encouraged them to transition the lower level of the home into a wine country retreat. After many months of sweat, labor, and genuine craftsmanship, we were proud to place Hazelwood Haven on the market for wine travelers! They hope that you will love their home for your short visit, just as they have over the years.
Ideally located between the mountains, the coast, and a 40-minute drive from Portland, Dundee offers everything a food and wine destination should. Whether your goal is to sip, savor, stroll, shop, or stay, our casual elegance and small-town hospitality will create an unforgettable experience. Only a short distance from Downtown Dundee, Hazelwood Haven is very close to restaurants like Trellis Wine Bar & Kitchen, Red Hills Market, The Dundee Bistro, and Tina's, downtown tasting rooms like Argyle, Dobbes, Alit, and Fox Farm Vineyards. If you're up for an outdoor adventure, close by (about two miles away) is the Harvey Creek Trailhead, a pleasant hike through the woods of Dundee. And most importantly, a short scenic drive is all that's needed to visit most of the region's 500+ wineries.
Family items (baby gate, high chair, pack 'n play), yoga mats, air mattresses, and outdoor games (bocce ball, croquet) are available to rent upon request.

Great proximity to all the best spots in wine country! The place was comfortable, clean and convenient. Our only two downsides were that the sprinklers always seemed to be going off whenever we were outside on the patio and the gun club that is nearby starts shooting at 8am and that noise is constant. Otherwise a great homebase spot for doing tastings.

Was disappointed. There were a number of issues with the property. Air conditioner did not work properly, toilet overflowed, hot tub needed to be fixed, dishwasher tab not release. The welcome book needs more instructions including how to turn the patio lights off. Worst part was the footsteps upstairs and the owner blasting his movie. Towel and sheets were excellent and the management company was good to work with.

Everything was fantastic! We live in Dundee but needed a place to stay when our house was on the market. We know the area well obviously, and this was a lovely oasis. The cleanliness, comfort and spaciousness of the property suited our needs perfectly. There was plenty of space to spread out, ample fridge, cleaning supplies, coffee, absolutely everything we needed to make our stay feel like home. Bathroom was pristine and shower water pressure truly luxurious. Bed was comfy with the softest sheets! Though the owners of this lovely home live upstairs, we never saw or heard them so felt complete privacy. The LifeStyle Property management team was great to deal with- very communicative and available for any questions. There are very specific protocols to observe, which we felt were warranted to maintain the high standard of this rental. Would stay again and heartily recommend!

We’ve stayed at this property twice now. Each of us likes to have our own room, so this is perfect. This is a great location for wine tasting. Only this time was they gave us the wrong code to get in on arrival. We called and received a quick response with the correct code. We most likely will stay here again!

This basement apartment was perfect for our girls getaway weekend. The hosts were incredibly responsive and left us a bottle of wine and personalized note. The orchard property was beautiful and quietly tucked away, but super close to the Dundee attractions. The squirrels were a little crazy over the nuts and it was really neat to see the peacocks out roaming around. The hot tub was a great perk as well! Would recommend.

The information on the stay and the area was among the best I have ever had. The property was clean and just as described. We will visit this property again!

Great communication with the rental company. Loved how easy check was & loved having a charcuterie board plus wine waiting upon arrival. Very nice, very clean, loved the hot tub & location.

This location was perfect for our family: two grandparents, two parents, and two children! Lovely location, comfortable home.

The only items that we have to remark on is that the noise from upstairs carries below with every footprint and conversation...it was sometimes distracting to our time downstairs. Also, the wine maker was broken but we found a back up. Otherwise, it was wonderful. We loved the space outside in the morning and the AC hit the spot!

Great place in the wine country
Enjoyed our stay. Beds are comfy. Bathroom had heated floor and awesome shower. Hot Tub was so nice! We used it 3 or 4 times during our short stay. each room had a walk in closet.
They left us a bowl of hazelnuts with squirrel nutcracker. We liked seeing the Peacocks and goats that live nearby. Only minor cons: no light above stove, no cling wrap, no toaster.

Perfect Thanksgiving Retreat
The property was the perfect size for our family of 4 to enjoy a long Thanksgiving weekend in the heart of wine country! All the amenities to cook at home, enjoy some down time, relax in the jacuzzi and enjoy morning walks through the local neighborhoods.

Retreat
The place was pretty nice. Everything was very clean. After all of the extra charges it became a little overpriced. The hot tub was wonderful. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and I’m going to need a massage to get my back straight.

Great location and house!
We did a weekend at the guest house and it was perfect! The location was great and only a short drive to Portland. The landscaping was beautiful and a park a short 2-3 minute walk away. We had 4 adults and 2 smaller children and the space worked great for us. Everything was in order when we arrived and the hot tub was hot and ready to go. Highly reccomend!

Relaxing wine country getaway
The Hazelwood Haven guest suite was spotless. Lifestyle properties left small welcome gifts, coffee, and a personalized welcome card for us. The hot tub is clean, comfortable, and has a nice view. The beds are firm. The welcome binder had great recommendations for local hikes and attractions nearby. Overall a beautiful and fun getaway.

Perfect getaway spot, no matter the size of your crew!
Trying to schedule a last-minute getaway with my partner, we stumbled across this space which, though much larger than our needs, was absolutely spectacular. The space is large, clean, and quiet, with hands down the softest sheets you’ll ever sleep on (no lie, we looked at the tag and bought them ourselves afterward)! We definitely plan to return here with another couple as it offers three spacious bedrooms and an awesome jacuzzi outside! If you’re looking to spend some time in wine country, this is where you should stay!

Pleasant Stay
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was clean, spacious and had great sound installation.
Two minor adjustments I would make is making sure the hot tub gets hot (we waited 24 hours and it still wasn't hot enough to get in) and adjust the sprinklers. We weren't able to sit outside in the morning and enjoy the beautiful view because the sprinklers hit the table.
Overall, we would stay here again and recommend the property.

Easy to work with, clean charming property
We were able to stay at Hazelwood Haven over the weekend. The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. Very easy communication. The home was very clean with easy check-in and out. I would recommend this property.

Beautiful, peaceful setting
We loved the location and the amenities. However, it was a little unsettling to have the lawn sprinklers come on in the night right next to the bedrooms! We were also surprised that it wasn't a rental for the whole house. With that being said, we really did enjoy our stay! We also loved the fan chickens! What a surprise! :)

Lovely, comfortable and conveniently located
My friends and I had a wonderful stay here. The house is very conveniently located, within walking distance of wineries! The rooms were comfortable, kitchen and bathroom up to date and easy to use. The view outside was beautiful and we loved using the hot tub.

Great space for weekend away with friends
We loved our stay for a gals weekend! Everything was clean, linens were nice, and the hot tub and grill were so appreciated.
Pros: The beds are comfy and the bedrooms spacious, and the bathroom is wonderful (heated floors and double shower head!). Kitchen was well-stocked for the basics (olive oil, sharp knives, grilling utensils, a small bag of ground coffee + individual creamers. Not really any spices, though.) The location is wonderful too--an extremely short drive to the heart of town (we thought about walking since we were so close, but the weather wasn't as cooperative), but at the same time, a tranquil setting in the orchard. There's also a playground in throwing distance!
Cons: We managed to set off the smoke alarm twice even with the fan going full blast in the kitchen. Wifi wasn't that great, so streaming music, etc was a little difficult. There could've been a few more towels--there were 5 of us and between showers and hot tubbing, we did a quick load to re-dry some.
Tips: Make sure hot tub is heating up when you arrive! We didn't realize it wouldn't be hot, so we missed out on taking advantage of it the first night.
Favorite wine stops (Dundee only) were Purple Hands (pinots were fantastic, and the staffer there was warm and knowledgeable), Argyle (tasting room and grounds are gorgeous, and the sparkling wine flight is tasty), and Fox Farms (great price point, and the staffer there was very friendly and really had a way with words describing the wines and vineyards).

Highly confortable like home, all clean and organized. All works great, it had basic and necessary stuff, like coffee, sugar, things usually we don’t bring for first night....sure we will back...

We were in town for a wedding and this was a PERFECT spot to spend our down time. Highly recommend!

spotless comfy wine country base
Spotless and very comfortable, this apartment was a great base of operations for our wine tasting foray into the Willamette Valley. 3 bedrooms, all with super comfy beds and good quality sheets. 1 bathroom, large and well appointed, towels enough for an army, shampoo etc. Kitchen is all on one wall with oddly dim lighting just over stove, and limited counterspace. Great stainless steel appliances, gas stove. Good quality pots/pans, but not many of them: only 1 small, 1 med (w/no lid) and 1 larger + 2 med frypans. So if you plan on cooking in quantity, bring your own (as we did). Decent knives. Family's hazelnut trees are outside windows, and we had handsome peacocks and deer wandering by! Tranquil, yet only 3 minutes off 99W in Dundee so you can easily get everywhere you want. Good WiFi too. Would absolutely stay again.

We had a magical stay!!!
My two friends and I had a lovely stay at Hazelwood Haven. We each had our own lovely room. The beds were incredibly comfortable with lovely bedding. We cooked and enjoyed the kitchen and grill, listened to music, and hung out in the hot tub. It was perfect. We would most certainly come again.

Wonderful property!
My girlfriends and I had a wonderful stay at this property. We found it to be clean, spacious and had a wonderful patio for a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. We loved our stay. Megan was so great through the entire process.

Great newly renovated 3-bedroom apartment in a peaceful and scenic location
We had a fun-filled weekend in this amazing place! Megan met us as scheduled and gave us a tour upon our arrival. She had cheese and crackers, coffee and cream waiting for us 💕
We had use of the hot tub, barbecue, washer and dryer throughout our stay. The bathroom was luxurious and we had plenty of towels. Each bed was very comfortable and the rooms all spacious.
We had the opportunity to meet Megan's father, Kevin who was as warm and inviting as Megan! The location was great for walking to the store, dining and wine shop. Megan also provided us with a winery tour map.
Megan was always prompt and accurate with her communication ~ we will be back as we loved our stay in this beautiful apartment with an amazing view! Thank you Megan, Kevin and Debbie for making our girls cycling adventure so special.
Fondly,
Cindy, Sally, Theresa and Margaret
