Great location on an interesting island. Loved the place!
Nothing really, but the choice of restaurants is limited and expensive. Good local supermarket for all your cooking and drinking needs.

Great place to stay if you want to overnight in the island
Room Doors are self-locking, so you have tonbe cautious when going to the bathroom and take the key with you

There was the option to book breakfast in advance for the stay for an extra 8€ / person which was a fair price.
There was basic rye bread and toast, some cold cut meats and cheese, jam, Nutella and peanut butter to put on top. Joghurt with some mysli, porridge (even tho it was a ready made porridge bag you'd have to add water and mix it) and some cold 'juice soups' and some fruits.
It was located conveniently next to the boat pier where the boats left to center every 15 to 20 mins depending on the time of the day. A small convenient store was also right next to it.
Keep in mind that ther bathroom is shared but it's greatly solved by having a door to lock when using the shower / toilet so there was no issue at all.
It's an old building so expect to hear some noises from people just doing unnoisy stuff (moving around kitchen to prepare food e.g.)
And of course the island is just absolutely lovely in the summer in the nice sunny weather! And still easy to reach the main land whenever :)
It was really thick air when we entered the room, would have been nice to open the window for a bit before the arrival.
The common room upstairs was a little noisy even though people weren't particularly loud. Wouldn't recommend for people with light sleep to stay on the 2nd floor but rather request a room on the ground floor.

Best service of all hostels in Finland.

Absolutely nothing. 👎👎👎
This place is out on some island with no way to get there. Nobody answered the phone after calling 3 or 4 times. This place is the worst place on all of Bookings. 👎👎👎

That was one of the best hostels I have stayed in my whole life (Thanks God), I really appreciate the comfort I felt there, I truly appreciate the receptionist when I checked-in and I really liked the cleaning service (the amazing clean bathrooms) it was really clean and organized daily, really loved the complementary and gifts. (Coffee, biscuits and tea every day) and in the shower you can find shampoo, conditioner and body lotion from good quality I was in the room number one and my roommates were also quiet so if you want a place to stay near helsinki (just 15 minutes away, you need to take a mini ferry) and you are looking to find a quiet place with a beautiful view when you walk through the suomelinda fort, with mimi market just 2 minutes walking, this is a good place to stay

Not the most comfy beds, but good for the money paid.

The rooms are a little bit too crowded for my feelings of comfort

Nice affordable host
Missed the fact that it is in an island

Nice nostalgic hostel with a good location in Suomenlinna. Well-equipped kitchen with good coffee and tea
That you have to pay for a towel! :( Also the doors are not very soundproof

The staff rotates constantly which keeps them fresh and nice, always. The chill out room with A/C and TV was great because the fan on my side did not work.
The great location brings unavoidable noise at nights.

Great location and peaceful
Communication via email is poor and very slow

The mattresses were comfortable
Check in was easy (we received a code to open the door)
Good location near the pier
Many ferries in the summer to Helsinki
Kitchen was surprisingly
small to cook anything

Great building and great place. A family of 7 could fit in one room.
A hostel is a hostel. Beds a bit uncomfortable and ventilation through the windows.

Friendly staff, cleanliness, kitchen. They also helped me to print a document I needed.
Someone in my room snored so aloud all the night that it was very difficult to fall asleep.
