Beautiful and serene.

Clean tidy and comfortable. Close to town and sights.

Kitchen was basic. Utensils old. Needed to request a sharp know and steak knives. Cups chipped.

Lovely and peaceful, great surroundings. Cabin was nice and cosy.

Peace and quite. No one bothering us.

A bit steep walking down to the river. Bbq control a bit suspect.

A cosy cottage with a view worth painting.

This spacious, light, and comfy cottage is brilliantly situated on the banks of the Barrington River. The views up and down the River are delightful and the varied bird life a constant pleasure. We saw egrets, a hawk, ducks, Galahs, honeyeaters, swifts, rosellas, moorhens, fairy wrens and some exquisite tiny thornbills (?finches?). All the comforts of home plus a broad and well-equipped deck overlooking the river, perfect for watching the birds and painting the view. Our hosts were friendly, kind and helpful.

It would have been magic to see the Platypus but we realise they are shy creatures. We wish we had the time to stay another week.

Very comfortable in a beautiful country setting

Lovely location, beautiful surroundings near river and bird life. Quiet, peaceful and picturesque. Bonfire was an added bonus for roasting marshmallows. Comfortable and well equipped.

Shower screen got stuck and felt like it might break. Sheer curtains behind the full block out ones in bedrooms would be great for letting in natural light without letting people from the outside look in. Otherwise no issues.

Beautiful, comfortable and relaxing stay. We’ll definitely be back again!

The experience of sitting on the veranda and looking out into nature, the beautiful river, the trees and the sweet wildlife - so beautiful and memorable. Especially the lovely clean and comfortable cottage, perfect location and everything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

Next time we’ll make sure to bring our camping chairs as the chairs on the veranda were more for dining than lounging, but not a big deal.

Peaceful

Size of the cottage and the surrounding nature, great if you just wanted to stay and relax.

Closeness of the cabins meant we could hear neighbours and path to river and access not suitable to use my kayak unfortunately

In the comfort of nature

The location is amazing - saw plenty of platypi early in the morning; went swimming in the river in the 2 recommended locations; air con worked so well and very much needed! We did lots of walking and driving so the cottage was a welcome home away from home. Used the BBQ and the kitchen had all we needed. Comfortable bed. Nice touches such as honey from their bees, lovely lotions in the bathroom, and many more, very homely and thoughtful. The birdlife is amazing - there was always something happening in nature from the deck. Could be as comfortable or active as you liked but nice to be amongst nature and the peacefulness. Will definitely be back - a lot more exploring to do!

WiFi was very intermittent - nice if you want to switch off but tricky when needing to work or wanting to watch the Aust Open! The ONLY thing missing which isn't a disaster, was a clothes drying rack for after swimming in the river but the deck railing served us well enough.

Exceptional

This was one of four cottages looking over the river, it was very private and quiet, the views and birdlife were amazing, only a few mins in to town and great bushwalking within 15mins. The cottages are a good size, very well appointed, very clean, and surrounded by lovely gardens. I was very sad to leave.

Such a beautiful location perched above the Barrington River. The bird life was incredible, with so many different varieties. The sound of the rapids was very peaceful. Such a good family friendly cabin, and what a view!

The cottages are a glorious retreat space.

The cottages have been beautifully decorated internally and well constructed. The gardens between cottages give privacy yet add to the atmosphere. A wonderful place to stay.

Superb

good location. Just said hello to owner in passing coming in, so not much interaction to comment on. Glad there was Netflix on the TV since all our planned hiking was cancelled since it rained the whole time, so caught up on all the Oscar nominees!

Mattress in the main bedroom is way too soft. Luckily Anne was able to sleep (tightly) on one of the single beds in the 2nd bedroom. Maybe should offer if a couple wants the 2 firmer singles put together as an option?
