Bello lugar para vivirlo afuera

Las vistas, la tranquilidad y los espacios comunes exteriores

El departamento es muy chiquito especialmente el baño. La ducha es mínima. El colchón no me pareció bueno. En las especificaciones de la reserva se indica que tiene bidet lo cual es falso. Nuestro departamento era muy accesible, pero hay otros con demasiadas escaleras para llegar debido a la topografía del lugar.

Ottima posizione

Posizione ottima per visitare tutta l'isola, monolocale carino con bella zona esterna, apprezzata anche la piscina. Vista spettacolare sull'oceano.

Il materasso del letto è molto duro, a noi è risultato scomodo ma penso sia una questione di preferenze. La strada per raggiungere la struttura è ripida, ma abbiamo capito che è la pendenza standard di Madeira.

This place is truly amazing. Very nice staff who provides You with all the necessary information via specific website. The view is amazing, especially from the swimming pool (which is a great addition). Parking for Guests.

Very good

Set in a nice area with a beautiful view at the Atlantic it's a very romantic place to spend a few days at. Close to some trails (levadas) but also to Funchal and other places. The apartment is spacious and clean. Check-in was easy and fast, all the information was timely and correct/helpful. There is a nice pool (used it a few times), a barbecue area (didn't use it), and a laundry room (I wish I knew there was one, nobody told us). Communication with the host was great!

We booked apartment D which is 101 steps down (and up) a steep hill from the parking lot.. Had I known this before I would have booked apartment A or B or C (which are closer to the parking). The apartment has seen better days and some facilities would need a fix, such as the shower corner, the lights, the doors, etc. For the price I would expect a better standard. But we had a good time after all, hence the rating of 8.

Great place, strategic location, nice host :-)

We really enjoyed the stay at Vila Brava, location of the place is really strategic to discover the island (close to Funchal but still not too far to the western part, most attractions within 30min far, some less than 1h (e.g. very western part around Porto Moniz). Marisela has been so kind and helpful, shared many tips and links as well as provided really enjoyable shoulder-neck-back massage. :-) Really beautiful view on the southern coast and nice gardens, enjoyed having breakfast on our balcony ;-)

we would appreciated having better blinding of windows for the night. we had to be careful during ventilation due to my husbands allergy to cats, since they were really daring (all other members of family appreciated that) ;-)

Nice apartment with a view and cute local cats

Beautiful view, comfortable beds, and local cats at the property 🐈 The apartment is very close to the main road. It is fully equipped, and you can always contact the owner in case you need anything. There are enough parking spots for everybody. Keep in mind that apartments are in a differentproximity from each other. If you rent the bottom one (A,B,C, or D), you will need to take around 40 to 50 steps.

Cleaning of the property was a bit random, so sometimes we had full garbage bin

nice view with some unfortunate caveats

The views from the property are excellent. Its close to town. and it is really beautiful. The kitchen had most of what was needed to cook in the house (in terms of pans and cutlery). Directions and instructions on locations were provided in videos. While this worked, one diagram with the property would have been much simpler and used less phone data.

The bed was very hard - even for European standards. We ended up sleeping on the couch in the living room. Attention to detail and communication is lacking. we checked in before a major holiday and there was less than a full role of toilet paper. We tried to contact the owner (manager?) to ask for more, but only received a reply two days later. Apparently their phone wasn’t working (!) These are nitpicks, but I share them for others to be prepared. The kitchen comes with no food items whatsoever: no salt, no pepper, no oil. I imagine that almost every person who stays there buys those items and then leaves them. Would it be so hard to at least have salt and pepper in the kitchen?

Amazing ocean view with improvement required inside the property

The location was amazing, in the center of the island where is the sunniest, quiet area to relax with amazing view to the ocean where you could enjoy amazing sunsets. The pool was also nice located with view to the ocean. Cherry on the cake was the barbecue area next to the pool. Nice balcony on the main room with ocean view The open plan kitchen/ living room was nice. Also the AC was a plus in case is required.

The communication with the owner didn't go as planned. 2 days before checking in didn't get a reply via booking.com or calling directly the phone suggested. The couch had yellow stains and wear out, so please get a replacement. The toilet cover was broken, not closing properly. The mattresses were dirty and it was required to request mattresses cover. The bed smelled old. The house just had 1 toilet paper for 5 nights for a family of 4. Didnt have shampoo or shower gel as promised in booking.com

great value for money, good amenities and stunning view

The view is absolutely stunning, the area is very quiet. The rooms are all clean, well furnished, with small kitchen block and having high-speed wifi sufficient outdoor space to enjoy and relax. the pool is located on the mountain slope hence you're overlooking the atlantic, from the pool.

nothing we didn't like, but as a heads up to future visitors, several rooms are situated on the uphill section of the property, and some on the downhill section (which also holds the pool, bbq area and further gardens). there is a very quiet road running between these 2 sections, and several flights of stairs. we didn't find it problematic, but it's to be noted.

My partner and I were completely satisfied. Great arrangement on arrival and departure. Possibility of later check-out. Dear owner. Be sure to ask for restaurant recommendations. Every time he recommended something to us, we were amazed. Great food and great prices! The accommodation included everything mentioned. We were completely alone at the pool most of the time and it could be used 24/7. I therefore only recommend accommodation if you have a scooter or a car. It is quite hilly. Beautiful view, peace and quiet. Possibility of free parking and payment by card.

Older and somewhat dirty carpets. In my opinion, carpets do not belong in accommodation.

In the afternoon one or two lizards might come inside through the balcony. Wasn't a problem for us, but need to keep in mind if you are afraid.

Views and quietness are top reasons to stay at Vila Brava, a few conditions should be improved.

Property views and quiet location. Promptness of Pedro to help improve the bed mattress situation.

Bed Mattress should be better and sofa was not that confortable when you want to relax at the end of the day.

Superb

Location was quite convenient. Not far from Funchal, but also not far from hikes. The place is on a quiet street. The balconies were awesome. Seemed to have most things you would need in the kitchen. Pedro was very accommodating, kind and showed us everything.

The mugs and glassware looked like they hadn't been cleaned well, but thats minor and didn't impact our stay.

A very nice place with a great view.

It was a great view over Ribeira Brava and a very nice place. It was a bit scary to drive the car in the very steep streets to and from the place though. An experience! We really enjoyed our stay there and the host also gave us a very nice tip about a good, local restaurant.

Amazing stay in Madeira

The View was amazing!! The Apartment really had everything even down to beach towels. It was really quiet even though the place was fully booked. The Location was really cool, although you did need a car for everything.

We Had to buy all Basic cooking utensils such as salt, pepper, etc. We left ours for the next people, I would have liked if the Apartment was equipped with that as well.

Great place to stay in Ribeira Brava

The appartment offers everything you need for a great stay with two people. It is situated above Ribeira Brava with great views from the two sides terrace over the valley to the sea and into the mountains. Equipped with a small kitchen, a comfortable mid-size bed and a well-sized bathroom, it is also well-maintained and cleaned. Nothing to complain and if you need any assistance or advice Pedro is there and will help you out in his very friendly, open and caring way.

A nice apartment in the perfect location

The location of the villa is perfect, both for its views and for its connection to various main roads that take you to different parts of the island. The Manager Pedro was very kind and welcoming and showed us around the property and apartment and was always on hand during our stay. There was always a parking space available right next to the entrance. The apartment itself was very good, the bed and sofa were very comfortable and the apartment is quite spacious, as well as having two balconies., and the views I mentioned before. The swimming pool was def welcome as it was very hot, and although it is salt water, it was great to be able to refresh ourselves there. One day while at the pool, the gardener came with fresh fruit picked from the orchard they have and gave it to us, we had a nice chat while eating it, it was delicious and it was really nice of him. Overall a good apartment at a reasonable price located in a perfect part of Madeira.

The main problem with this apartment is the steps, there are 74 (I counted) from the entrance down to the apartment, & every time you come & go you have to do them again, after 9 days, my legs looked like Usain Bolt´s! I mention it especially because if you have mobility issues, it will def be a problem, & carrying our suitcases up & down was a big effort. There were a few things that were not in the apartment, a chopping board for one, we could not cut meat, fruit etc.. & had to cut it on kitchen paper, & the cutting knives were all blunt. For another the light in the bathroom above the mirror didn´t work, the manager said he would change it on the first day, but he never did. We´d have liked to have used the coffee machine, but the adaptor needed wasn´t available, the manager said he would bring one, he never did. And when I paid, he didn´t have any change saying he would bring it to me after, once again he never did (it was only 3euros). There is only 1 clock in the apartment, but it didn´t work. We also had problems with the air conditioning from day one, & after trying to fix it, the manager did change it for another one, which we appreciate very much, but by then we had been without air conditioning for 5days, and there was a heatwave, it made those days very uncomfortable, and then we had to wait while it was being installed. The apartment at first sight was clean, but it really needs a good once over, there were cobwebs around the balcony doors, dust in places, & general uncleanliness in the corners and windows etc, & we found a cockroach in our shower, it wasn´t that bad, but just needs a thorough clean. The swimming pool only had one parasol for all 7 apartments, & you had to go & get it when you wanted it, there should def be more so others can also have some shade.
