A great place to get away! A short drive if anything is needed and secluded for plenty of wildlife…literally outside our condo!
Our condo changed number changed the day before our arrival. I was not happy because we were not getting the condo we chose. The new condo did NOT disappoint! Highly recommended!!!

This was a great condo which met our needs perfectly. We traveled with our family of 4, including two teenagers and small dog. The condo had plenty of space and the property with the pool is fantastic. The owner was responsive during the booking process and we had no issues during the stay. Would stay again!

Overall, a great visit but a few disappointments. Kitchen was well equipped, decor very nice. Not enough blankets. Light bulbs burned out and gas fireplace didn't work. Living room lamp broken. Would like to have had soap in shower. Condition of upper deck was terrible- green mold all over the outdoor carpet, pillows strewn all over the deck and all the wood with a slimy layer making walking across it precarious and VERY slippery. We had multiple near falls, and we are fit people. The owner was attentive and quick to respond to requests.

Beautiful condo in a quiet location with tons of parking and a private pool, private balconies with tons of seating provided, and several shared fire pit spaces. Really loved being able to bring both our toddler and our puppy—safe for the grandparents, parents, aunt, puppy and toddler.
We were super grateful for the accommodations and the respite away from the busy-ness and crowds of downtown when we were ready to rest. Can’t wait to return!

Our second stay at Northern Lights. This time in 2BR/2BA and it was outstanding. Perfect size for our group perfectly amended kitchen and bath with comfortable living area and outdoor space. Even though we were directly adjacent to the pool, it was quiet and private. The pool, facilities, access to Isabel's, Douglas and Saugatuck.... Bravo!

The booking process was easy along with checkin/checkout procedures. Great location. The complex was nice and quiet and the pool was good. The pool house bathroom doors need to be fixed and signs posted that floors are slippery when wet and hazardous The landscaping and garbage outside could have been attended to more regularly. Things needed to be dusted a little better also but floors, bathrooms and kitchen were clean which was a big plus for us. There were plenty of restaurants to pick from and shopping in Saugatuck and Holland with farmers markets. We enjoyed the area very much. Overall, I would recommend this place and would definitely return even though I listed a few negatives.

Great amount of space for our family of 4. Full kitchen was a nice feature though we didn’t cook, it was nice to have the option. Beds were super comfortable and the condo was very quiet. This was the first floor unit and it was decorated nicely. The pool is always great and why we come back to this property even though our kids are teens now. We hope to come back next summer!

Our experience was wonderful. Super cleaband modern. Beds a little uncomfortable but no biggie. Close to downtown sagatuck. Corner condo has an amazing peaceful beautiful view of the woods. Definitely come back.

Amazing, accessible anniversary home base
The condo location in Douglas is just as advertised, close to the big lake, but nestled in town with easy parking and navigation to the many restaurants in Douglas. The lower level condo was spacious, with clean, modern decor leaving plenty of room for our bags and pool toys. Our daughter with special needs loved having her own room and bathroom which was a fantastic size for us to provide assistance.

2 bd/2 bath condo
Condo was nicely appointed and master had king bed with private bath and our own tv. Unit also has it's own washer dryer which was very nice and a nice patio. Unit was clean although the only issue we noticed is the vinyl flooring had not been mopped recently apparently because when we wiped up a small water spill the rag was very dirty. Cabinet doors throughout the kitchen and baths did not close properly as the screws on the hinges were loose. If I had a Phillip's head screwdriver I would have fixed it myself. Condo complex is well maintained and has beautiful pool and a couple gas firepit which is also a very nice feature. Very nice Restaurant/market in front. Overall, we were happy.

Summer #2, and we just love this place. Condo felt brand new. Spacious, open floor plan. Fully stocked. Pool & Isabel’s right on site. Douglas Beach, Root Beer Barrel, and ice cream / restaurants a short bike ride away. Oval Beach, state park, golf, Saugatuck a short drive away.

Family of five. The pool was great. The management was great. The condo is great. We had a wrap around porch. Our condo was the biggest deck. Beds were so comfy. I especially like the black out shades. I recommend this place. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Great condo and location
Check in was easy, condo was very clean. We enjoyed the location with it being so close to Saugatuck and Holland. Delicious little breakfast and lunch place right next door. The unit we stayed in was different than the one pictured (or at least different furniture) but it was still decorated nicely and all very comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect family getaway
Condo was well-kept, updated, and immaculately clean. Pool was perfect for our family (2 small children). Location is great- downtown, beaches, and stores are all nearby. Felt like the perfect getaway especially during the pandemic. Loved everything about this place and will definitely return for future vacations!

Great location!
My husband and I stayed with our 1 year old and another couple. The place was beautiful and for the most part very clean besides the floors being dirty which was not ideal for an infant crawling all around! Only other negative was the check in process, as I was very unsure about how to go about getting in to the condo, but the manager was very good with communication and let me know everything I needed as well as got us in a little early! We had an incredible stay and will definitely be back!!

Great location and unit, but experienced some mess issues
The unit we were given was large and very modern. The location was super close to downtown and the beaches. However, there were spiders and the floors and dining table were not cleaned properly. There were also no cleaning supplies for us to do it ourselves. However, the property manager was responsive and did what he could to address the issues.

Nice place but not the same unit as in the pictures
Overall, this place is nice and I would consider coming back. However, the listing I booked included a leather couch and an updated, modern kitchen. The unit we were assigned had an extremely worn in fabric sofa and an older looking kitchen. Not a deal-breaker, but I did feel a bit misled.
Other items to mention are below broken into Pros and Cons.
Pros:
-Washer and dryer in unit that worked great! Very nice to have.
-2 king beds which were perfect for 4 adults
-Spacious rooms and bathrooms
-Full kitchen so we were able to cook meals - enough equipment to cook but had to get somewhat creative.
-The pool is heated and nice!
-Firepits are pretty awesome and there are several
-VERY close to things you need- grocery is 1 min away, downtown Douglas 2 min, Sagutuck 5 min, and a gorgeous street to walk on along lake MI less than 1 mile away
-The rooms overlooking the open field did not have much noise at all
-Mike and the property management group were VERY responsive and helpful, maintenance folks were helpful and friendly
-Very clean unit- I am a stickler for this and was impressed overall with the cleanliness
-Comfy beds
Cons:
-Wifi is SO SLOW it is pretty close to unusable unless you pay for the upgraded one.... pretty misleading.
-Zero instructions or info about the unit and amenities were left in the unit.... nothing on the pool hours, or that you needed to ask for a firepit key from the office people (or it just was not left in the unit like it should have been..), what to do at checkout, etc.
-The windows in the bedrooms let in a lot of light, which is also a pro, except in the morning when you are trying to sleep... bring eye masks!
-Noisey, noisy, noisy! On Thursday night the person below was blaring the TV so loud I could basically hear what they were watching while lying in bed, and then on Saturday night people were out at the pool and on patios drinking, screaming, and partying until like 1 am or later... Bring earplugs!
Again, I would consider staying here again and had a nice time.

Nice condo with nice appointments. Believe there should be a TV in the second bedroom and a few more items to help facilitate a beach vacation for out-of-towners. Nice washer but dryer didn’t work.
