The staff members are friendly and helpful. Both women who I interacted with at the front desk were extremely welcoming, kind, and informative! I was super happy that we were able to check-in early without any additional fees, as we arrived by train a few hours before check-in. The room itself was beautiful and clean, with everything we needed. The river view was awesome (we stayed on the 6th floor)! This hotel is a bit pricier than where I would normally stay, but since it was only for a night I felt the splurge was worth it for both the view and the location. Having multiple restaurants within walking distance was convenient, and we also only had to walk 20 minutes to the train station and about 30 minutes to get into downtown. My partner and I enjoyed the breakfast, which was included in our stay and offered a variety of items. We also really appreciated being able to leave our bags by the check-in desk after check-out, as it allowed us to explore a bit more of the surrounding area before heading home.
The one downside is the spiders. I understand (and do not fault the hotel for) the gathering spiders on the outside of the windows. There were several webs and visible bugs in the corner of our window (on the outside). The part I did not like, however, was that there was also one large web in the corner of our room by the window. I assume this web was the home of the very large spider that crawled under the bathroom door. I know bugs might be difficult to manage in such an area (by a river and a wildlife center), however, I would hope that housekeeping takes the time to clear away the large webs that might gather on the inside of the rooms. Overall this would not stop me from staying here again in the future, but I am terrified of bugs and so I am more sensitive to this issue.

. Other than that there was a nice variety and selection.
The eggs were very watery/ not cooked enough

Good sized suite with nice view of the river. Good fitness center.
It’s was not ready to open. The air condition did not work in one room, the safe was locked, old food in the refrigerator

Great location on the park by the river— great walking path along the river; and several restaurants right there too.

Staff was very nice. Friendly and personable staff. The streaming TV was very nice and we were able to enjoy our favorite shows on our streaming accounts.
Breakfast was not very good. Very few choices, no actual milk. Only almond milk for cereal choices. Main offering was eggs or the waffles you pour & cook yourself, but only 1 machine to make them. With so few other choices for breakfast, a lot of people wanted to make them, but had to wait in a very long line to make the waffle. Also, many amenities of our suite were not working and the bed was way too soft.

The breakfast could have been better.
Parking, there was little to no parking.

Friendly staff and great location
Door to the room was very difficult to open. It took all our strength to enter and exit the room. It appeared to have been shaved but still not a good fit. Could hear others in the hallway having the same issue which resulted in the slamming of doors. The dining hall could use a secondary waffle maker. Not enough parking available for guests on hotel premises.

The room I reserved was marked as a River View Room. The room did not have a river view. Trees obstructed the view of the river. Highly disappointed. Will be staying at the Hyatt next door on my next visit to Wilmington.

Large rooms in a good location
Parking is limited and over flow parking lot isn’t connected by a sidewalk so nobody uses it

Breakfast was okay. Good location. Some of the staff are nice.
The parking passes are a joke because there’s hardly any spots in proportion to the number of units. We were told the wrong room number so we assumed our keys didn’t work until we ran into the people currently in that unit and realized they gave us the wrong number. Calling down to the desk didn’t work because the phone just sounded like static. When we got to the room, the floor was literally oozing liquid. We complained and were given some towels to mop it up, but they were soaked within the hour. No offer to change units. No offer to resolve the issue in the current unit. Breakfast was okay, but there needs to be at least a second waffle machine. Not even worth half the price we paid.

The location of the place and the view of the room were perfect.
The TV was grainy and not clear. I'm surprised nobody checked to see if the TV is working properly.
It's a given that a hotel of such repute won't supply a pen and notepad for guests.
The bodywash in the bathroom was also not dispensing, which can only mean wrong tube or expired one was supplied. I had to go get my own bodywash in the middle of the night to have a proper shower

Our room was large, clean and quiet. The hotel was right on the River Walk, a nice, safe area for strolling and eating. We walked every night to a different restaurant on the River Walk and enjoyed our meals each time.

the morning we woke up to checkout it was like hitting a brick wall with the smell of marijuana in the hallway. never go again

terrific pet- friendly stopover ; great to walk along the adjacent riverfront park

Location
One staff member was unaccomodating on every level. Very dismissive and doesn't have an ounce of empathy. My son was disabled and wouldn't help with anything I asked her for.

the room was awesome! the view was beautiful and the location was ideal for what we were there for!
1 elevator was broken the entire time of our stay. finding space on an elevator with our lag gage on checkout day was impossible and we had to carry all of our stuff down the stairs. breakfast on check out day never happened as the food was empty, no coffee cups so while we booked this location for the breakfast partially we had to go find some elsewhere!
4.2
