From when we checked in till the time we checked out, there were issues. When we got into the room, we shortly discovered that sink drain was totally clogged and the toilet wssnt flushing completely. We called the front desk and they sent up a security guard with a tiplet plunger. He proceeded to attempt to plunge out the sink drain. What came up out of thecdrain and into the sink was very nauseating. The work part about it was we had our personal belongings around the sink area. Furthermore, his attemtp was a complete failure. The front desk moved us to anothercroom at 10:30pm. As it turned out the shower drain in our 2nd room was clogged.
The bar at the hotel was a total joke.

Very comfortable stay. The "neighborhood" is pretty quiet on Thanksgiving night. The local Chamber of Commerce needs to enliven downtowncquite a bit.

I was told that there was a shuttle available at this Double tree and that is why I stayed there. Turned out that they say the courtesy Shuttle was in for repairs… I wound up spending 14.00 dollars on and Uber. And when I return I’ll have to pay an additional 14.00 dollars to take me back to the hotel.

Pleasent and comfortable stay ,hotel staff are very helpful and friendly ,added feature they have a free shuttle service around town if you need to go anywhere ,sadly their swimming pool is no longer in use.

Room did not have hot water to shower and shower head was not put on correctly. Fire alarm went off and parking was extra and was not explained correctly.

Comforter between top sheet and bed sheet was filthy and stained. We removed it, just slept with sheet. If we turned heat on it smelled so not an option. Killed bug in bathroom. Overall disappointing.

Staff was very friendly and we were walkable to train and restaurants.

Quite functional for the price

I always stay at Double Tree nice accommodations

Spend a lot of money on a night stay. And pay to park in their own garage… I don’t understand why I should pay to park when I paid to stay

Phone in room was broken so had to go down to lobby three times to report that Engineering never showed up to fix broken A/C in the room. Was never fixed my entire stay. Not acceptable service from my perspective.

Hotel is very old. The elevator was very slow and we got stuck betwen floors for a few miniutes. Staff was nice. A fire alarm went off at 430am. We had to evacuate the building for 10mn. Not many options in this city.

We were told garage was safe and it was not.

The Doubletree should be ashamed of the condition of the room, 605. It was filthy, needs a new toilet, the bathroom needs to be totally cleaned and repainted. I’m thankful I had cleaning wipes with me!

Apparently there was only one employee when arrived (around 6:00 pm). I waited at the desk for almost 29 minutes before anyone came to check me in. That was only after someone in line walked around the hotel and eventually found the employee in the kitchen. He was nice, but seemed unsure of how to handle that I had paid for parking already through hotels.com. The room was fine, but the intial experience put a negative spin on the stay.

We like the price we paid for our stay. And also the cookies. The little front desk clerk was great at check in and security was very helpful with helping us when leaving.

Property is stuck in 1980’s dingy and gloomy.

I did not like the inability to adjust the air conditioning unit in my room 610. The repairman was called, could not fix it. My husband was in bed ill, I could not be moved to another room. Second, the door did not close complete when departing from the room. Hotels I have stayed, the door automatically closes quickly behind you. In fact, when I returned to my room after going out, I thought someone may have entered the room as the door was cracked. I called security for someone to escort me inside as I did not feel safe entering. The unsafe climate of today makes everyone feel unsafe and I did not take a chance. Upon leaving today, I checked the door as I left, and yes, it did not closed completely.

The room worked for us just fine. WHen we walked into the room, there was a little odor. To us it smelled like someone was smoking in the room or some other musty smell. It was not terrible and we were fine with it after being in the room for a few minutes

Nice hotel well located close to train and on a good bus route to place

Rooms was too dark.

The hotel is nice and staff helpful and friendly. My only complaint is having to pay $15 for the breakfast buffet which wasn’t worth the price (so I passed and didn’t get it). The price of the drinks in the lobby are also ridiculous ($5). And the TV remote is horrible. It has no buttons to change the volume or channels.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is in a good location a 20 minute drive to Philadelphia airport.
The condition of the room needs a deep cleaning and repairs. There were cracks in the ceiling, unprepared holes in bathroom door, scratches on the desk and stains on the bathroom floor. The halls also need a lot of work, rips on the wallpaper throughout, baseboards & trim around elevators need repair and paint. It is a aging hotel which has not been maintained and now needs major update.

The location was perfect to attend an opera at the Grand Opera House and restaurant. It was a very short walk from the hotel. The parking was reasonable ($11 overnight), and we liked that the hotel had a restaurant and bar. The staff was friendly and helpful.

What a nice hotel and what delicious cookies!

Our hotel stay was ok. Only 1 night. The people were not really friendly accept for the one woman in there restaurant which I thought by checking out the QR in the room that it was a full service restaurant. It was only buffet with not much more then scrambled eggs. I feel that they needed more help. Did not see anyone at the desk except when we checked in. The room was clean and comfortable we kept the window closed it looked into two empty rooms that were not kept up and kind of trashy..

Walls were paper thin. I heard banging and yelling all night from rooms above us, next to us, and down from us. My room shook when someone’s door shut. And we had to be up early. I booked the hotel because of the pool as well. It wasn’t working because of “An accident with the parking garage”. I couldn’t use the toilet and open the door because the door opened past the toilet. There was about 10in between the door and the toilet. And the door hit the shower. The bathroom was smaller than a closet. Myself and a 5 year old were cramped in there. It was horrible for $300 for a night. Probably better off at a motel.

The front office staff were professional and friendly.
