Was a treat. Lots of Jungle sounds with howler monkeys in our treetops. The staff was amazing!
5.0 / 5.0
We loved our stay! We saw monkeys, lizards, and birds from the balcony, and the accommodations were spacious and comfortable. Would visit again!
4.0 / 5.0
The property is beautiful, we were regularly visited by a family of monkeys and a sizeable iguana. We were close to the activities we wanted to do and all recommended restaurants were outstanding. We enjoyed it thoroughly. Two comments on the (sort of) negative side - the climb up to the home is very steep, make sure you have a vehicle that can do it - our rental was a bit of a slug. And second, there is no air conditioning in the main unit, only in the bedrooms - the main part of the house got very hot and stuffy in the middle of the day. I think that needs to be emphasized more. While I loved the home, the lack of AC may have me looking elsewhere next time.
The staff at Manuel Antonio Estate were very helpful, prompt in answering questions and looked after us very well.

Great location, wonderful deck for wildlife watching, nice pool area!! Some minor problems were the kitchen appliances (a few didn't work or were tricky to operate, gas stove didn't have an ignitor had to make trip for matches, bed mattress way too firm and house cleaning crew could have had the place a little cleaner upon our arrival. No serious problems and if we could we would be back next week!!!!
We will be back and if property was ever put on the market we'd love to be contacted!!

We had a wonderful time in Cascadia. This is a lovely property. We had a great time, watched the monkeys and birds from the deck. The house is in excellent shape and very clean. Had everything we needed!

We just stayed for our first visit to Costa Rica and the Manuel Antonio Estates was the best place to stay. Andreas and Julio were excellent hosts communicating with us always along our journey. They were very accommodating and knowledgeable. The other reviews are correct in that we saw more wildlife staying here than in the National Park. The monkeys were part of our entertainment every evening. The location is perfect and safe within walking distance to the town of Quepos and close driving distance to Manuel Antonio. The house has everything you need and the air conditioned bedrooms were a relief. Would definitely stay here again. We already miss Costa Rica and we just left. Until we meet again....Pura Vida.

Very nice place :) clean private. Outdoor showers where the best. Good spot away from town (wish the beaches was closer )
Overall a great stay and very safe

We were very impressed with the property overall, but more so extremely pleased with the timely and helpful communication with the staff. We always felt on top of things because of the helpful and very responsiveness of staff. We stayed at 4 different properties throughout our stay in Costa Rica and the Quepos experience was the best!

We had an incredible stay at this villa! It is situated in the midst of rainforest, surrounded by beautiful trees, flowers and even some iguanas and butterflies. The place is beautifully decorated with 2 spacious bedrooms with king size beds and a private bathroom for each room. There's a wrap around balcony to relax and listen to the bioacoustics of the jungle. Antonio was incredibly helpful with tours, recommendations for hidden gems and best restaurants in the neighborhood.
Be careful when parking. It's a very sharp turn into the driveway. The swimming pool is beautiful and comes with jets but the water was too cold for me to relax in.
I'd definitely come back and stay here again!

Great villa with everything you need in a superb jungle location, but with easy access to walk into town or to explore the local area.
The villa is nestled in the jungle, so we saw practically every animal from our veranda that we saw on the guided tour in Manuel Antonio National Park!
The estate management team were brilliant too. They couldn’t have been more helpful or responsive. Any minor issue (like gas bottle running out etc) was resolved in minutes and they offered great advice on travel and tours etc. Big shout out to Andrés, as he was especially helpful! THANK YOU! Pura Vida!

If you are wanting a house in the jungle with LOTS of wildlife to see without ever having to leave your balcony- this is your place. My husband and I stayed here with our two kids (10 & 15). They shared a room and we shared a room and it was exactly what we needed. The kitchen was nicely stocked, all appliances in working order, cable TV in main area and both bedrooms that was easily changed to English with a click of the remote. Our rooms were ice cold. Pretty sure the a/c works better than ours at home!
We did not rent a car, but the walk down to the town to get drinks, food, souvenirs, etc was a short easy walk. The walk back up the hill to the house is a bit of a workout, but I honestly needed the exercise after eating and drinking at all the great sodas!
We loved our little pool and enjoyed jumping into it after a long day of hiking.
We easily walked to the town everyday and down to the marina to watch the beautiful sunset. It was a great way to end your day.
We came to Costa Rica to do something different. We love animals and we love the beach. We got both of those things here.
We had scarlet macaws that flew over (usually twice or three times a day), a troop of squirrel monkeys (about 15 of them) a smaller tribe of capuchins that came everyday and sometimes twice, three iguanas that live at the house and climbed the same trees to the same spot everyday, all sorts of frogs, geckos, and a sweet little bat that lives by the door during the day. We named him Emilio😀
Most importantly, the customer service at Manuel Antonio Estates was UNBEATABLE! They went out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of, including getting us our airport transportation taken care of, making personally calling tour businesses for information for us, and even scheduling maintenance and cleaning around our schedule.
I seriously cannot say enough about the staff there. We go out of the country once a year and use VRBO a couple times throughout the year while in the states- no one has compared to the personal care we got with these guys. A+
Thank you for such amazing memories!

We stayed at this beautiful place for a month. It was our first time to visit Costa Rica and we were a bit concerned about going during rainy season; however, we had no problems. We enjoyed the rain at nights (although it is a bit loud at times), and beautiful sunny days. It is such a great experience to wake up to the sound of birds, monkeys, rain drops etc. and to be surrounded by the green forest. The place is walking distance to downtown Quepos, grocery stores, restaurants, the marina, etc. and to the opposite side it is about 10 min. drive to the beach and more restaurants! all easy access. The rental process was great without issues; management was also great, they are very quick to respond and resolve any problems. Internet service is excellent. We lost power once in half of the house, but reported to management and it was fixed within the hour. Cleaning service is good. I would definitely rent this place again.

Just Perfect
My family had a fantastic stay at this property. Beautifully located just inside the forest and the side of a steep hill. Woke up every morning with my wife to enjoy a cup of coffee on the large balcony before our son got up. Enjoyed hearing and seeing the surrounding wildlife (mostly birds, monkeys and lizards). The pool was a nice relief after a hot afternoon. There is also a rugged trial to a secluded waterfall that we would highly recommend. The accommodations were modern, clean and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is also a short 10-minute walk to downtown Quepos. Overall, it was perfect. We’d stay here again.

Wonderful, secluded yet close to town
The property is very well kept and clean. We were grateful there was a carport and covered steps which kept us dry as we arrived in a rains storm. Andres gave us a lot of good recommendations of restaurants, where to see wildlife, directed us to the on-property waterfall. From the large balcony, we saw many different butterflies, monkeys, Scarlet McCaws, frogs, and hummingbirds. Many night sounds that had us wondering what was making the sounds. Wonderful relaxing experience.

A great place to stay in Manuel Antonio
The house is nestled in a jungle atmosphere. It was fun getting up in the morning to a couple of Macaws squawking just outside the porch area and at night watching the monkeys coming by for a visit. And the bedrooms have air-conditioning. We would definitely go back.

Nice, clean, rental
Enjoyable stay in Casa Cascada. The house was nice and clean, check-in was easy. Great communication with management. House is in a gated community, with security 24hrs, so definitely felt safe. Only negative, was that living area was fairly hot even with windows open since there was not much air flow or breeze. Would stay here again if in the area.

Unreal!
Wow, Casa Cascada truly is a gem, set right in the jungle! We walked in and opened the wall to wall balcony sliding doors and a group of squirrel monkeys came to greet us on the wrap around deck. Our kids enjoyed the small private pool each day and we saw more wildlife from the deck of the house than we did on a guided tour of Manuel Antonio National Park.
Since the house is literally in a jungle, you will be sharing the outside with lizards, monkeys, macaws, cicadas, agoutis, etc. You will hear all of the animals waking up each morning (if you are expecting a silent night of sleep well into the morning, you should look elsewhere!).
The air conditioning in the bedrooms worked perfectly, and cooled them off for sleeping very quickly. Evenings were spent with our feet up outside on the deck, listening to the sounds of the wildlife.
Dorit and Andres were incredible hosts who helped us so much by answering our questions quickly and even helped us book an extra night at one of their other properties last minute.
The location is incredible, inside a gated community which is literally just minutes of walking to downtown Quepos, but still surrounded by the forest. Cascada was a dream come true!

Great spot
Close enough to Quepos to walk in to town for dinner etc and far enough away that it’s fairly quiet. The house was great for my wife and I and our 2 young kids. Very comfortable. Saw and heard plenty of wildlife. From monkeys to macaws.

Fantastic! Jungle view right out of the window including monkeys, birds, and iguanas. The villa faced so there was total privacy. The kitchen, bedrooms, and baths were everything you could ask for.

Absolutely Perfect Vacation Property!
Everything about this property is amazing. Lush and green with monkeys and sloths hanging out in the trees right by the balcony. Every modern amenity you could possibly need. Attentive, honest and super helpful property managers. The peace of mind that comes with it being in a gated community is an extra amazing benefit! We’ll never stay anywhere else! Recommend 10 out of 10 every time!

Nice place
The house is nice, good ac, well equipped kitchen and bbq, nice bathrooms, big rooms, tv. The pool is small and in the garage, we didn't really use it. Maid service didn't come one day. Watch out for the monkeys.

Nice location
This two bedroom, two bath property is in a nice location just outside of the main town and close to Manuel Antonio national park. It sits up in the hills in a gated community and has a private feel, with a balcony view of treetops filled with monkeys.

Terrace in the Treetops
We began our four week stay at Casa Cascada with beautiful flowers, plentiful bowl of tropical fruit and a welcome from our concierge, Sarah. Each day brought visits from birds, monkeys, lizards, butterflies including a beautiful Blue Morpho, and pacas. The house was as advertised with what we needed for our stay. It was located within easy taxi ride to Manuel Antonio restaurants and shops, sodas and the marina in Quepos. Felt very secure with the 24 hour gate security. Our concierge, Sarah, was very helpful with housekeeping and maintenance concerns as well as helping arrange tours and taxis.
Message to the Owner: We definitely enjoyed our stay and will probably stay there again, however in 4 weeks a person notices things that would improve their stay. A ceiling fan added to the upstairs balcony would greatly enhance comfort and possibly slow down mosquito buzzing. We prepared several meals ourselves and the kitchen area would be greatly enhanced by some additional lighting and a sharp knife.

Tree House in the Rain Forest
We really enjoyed our state at Cascada Casa in Manuel Antonio Estates.
Loved sitting on the wrap around balcony with coffee in the morning and wine or cervesas at night. Don't leave fruit on the balcony or white faced monkeys will steal it, and you'll soon have monkeys "monkeying around" on your balcony and roof like we did. Kitchen is well enough equipped to cook if desired. Appreciated the daily made service, and they'll even wash and fold your close if you want. You can walk into town, but the hill back up to the house is steep, so you need to be in relatively good shape to do this in the hot, humid weather. Otherwise, rent a car or get a taxi. The town of Quepos looks very 3rd world at first, but you'll find it is actually safe and the people are friendly. Also very close to do the Manuel Antonio Park tour, zip lining and hike to Nauyaka waterfall. On the way to Nauyaka, we had a great lunch at La Langosta Feliz. Tips: I would consider Costa Rica more of an adventure trip then other trips, so being in shape helps. You do not need ANY fancy clothes in this town. We also never needed jackets for anything but the cold airport. We rented a car at Budget in Quepos, and drove to Arenal, which was amazing. Dorit did a great job scheduling and Angie was a friendly concierge.

Lovely, furnished nicely, and picture perfect!
Our stay at the villa was all that we had hoped and much more. Monkeys every day at various times in the evening. We cooked our own breakfast everyday and ate out every afternoon or evening-always somewhere with recommendations from Dorit or Angie and the food was superb. Surf lessons for our daughter at a beach in Manuel Antonio Park-great instructor! A great big thanks to the staff at the estates-Angie, Dorit and the many other workers, always available to attend to our needs. The farmers market on Friday evening was a real treat also. The estates was excellent and so glad we stayed there vs. a hotel!!

Great stay
3 of us just returned from our 9 day holiday in Quepos. Great property, walking distance to everything in town.(took a taxi home most days though, very inexpensive) Too easy to catch the bus to Manuel Antonio for the day. Need of assistance? Just ask Dorit and Makayla, they are both wonderful and will go above and beyond to help out. The ladies are very informative, they made our trip a breeze. The wildlife at Casa Cascada is amazing.

This property was Fabulous
We didn't know what to expect when we arrived in Costa Rica and this was our first time in this country, but the property blew our mind, it was clean and roomy and had everything we needed in the house and all the appliances worked. the staff at the office was friendly and very helpful. we communicated more with Wendy Prendas this lady was great she gave us her phone number and when we where out in town or traveling to another city in Costa Rica we where able to get information and direction from her by Texts. She was always there to help even when she wasn't working. I would definitely stay at Manuel Antonio Estates again.
Our stay was for 5days and we loved every minute of it.

Great location and convenient property!
Cascada is in a gated area located on the edge of Quepos. It was super convenient for my wife, daughter and I. I walked to the marina, convenience store and liquor store from this place. MA park is a five minute drive as are 2 public beaches. This is an awesome location for a beach/ park holiday. The property was well equipped for our 5 night stay. 2 full bathrooms and a bbq on the balcony worked great. We cooked most of our meals. Dorit and her coworker were a great help with our vacation plans. Thank you for a fun stay!

Perfect. Beautiful property.
Great property and amazing stay. We'd really just have to invent stuff to come up with any complaint about our stay. OK, there were clean blue towels mixed in with the clean white towels in the towel closet. There it is as any review needs at least one negative complaint, right? All seriousness, we had phenomenal time in Quepos. Dorit and staff were beyond helpful, professional, and just good people. We'd recommend Manuel Antonio Estates without hesitation and we can't wait to return.

Perfect vacation spot
Arrived Jan. 23, 2018 and stayed for 7 days! Property is beautiful, staff are great to work with. We have stayed here several times over the years. We are always impressed with Dorit’s help in taking care of all the details, going far beyond what you would might expect. We will never stay anywhere else. We have stayed in a couple different houses on the property and each one is positively perfect for us. I would definitely recommend staying here. The surrounding area has great restaurants and some hidden beaches. Fun things to do with your family and friends all day long!

Family of Five in Paradise
Casa Cascada at Manuel Antonio Estates was absolutely fabulous! We are a family of five, including three children ages 8 and under. The layout was perfect for us - two large suites with private bathrooms, joined by an open kitchen and living space. Each bedroom had a king-sized bed and the property managers provided a cot, as well. WiFi is available in the home and there are 2 TVs. To access the home, you must walk up stairs; the garage is underneath the home (which is good protection from rain). The small pool is also on the lower level and is covered. The location was safer for kids and kept you out of the direct sun. The property managers are very attentive and are available 24/7, if necessary. Great customer service - calling taxis, arranging tours, and even ordering & picking up a cake! We did not have a car and depended on the bus and taxis to get around the local area. Be warned, the hill is quite steep to the house! Monkeys woke us on the roof one morning so you get to enjoy the wildlife from your balcony. I absolutely recommend this home and Manuel Antonio Estates to travelers within Costa Rica!

"You're in the jungle."
If you want to stay in the jungle, with all of the jungle amenities, this is your place. Iguanas, ants, and the heat. This place has it all!
We arrived to a VERY hot home and were told by Marcela that the air-conditioning is only in the bedrooms. Even then, we were told that they must be turned off (and were turned off by maid service) if you leave the home. It took until about 3am the first night for the rooms to cool off.
At dinner on the first night we heard scratching in the ceiling. We quickly called Marcela and we were told that there's an iguana that's been living between the ceiling and the roof. They were aware of the problem, but hadn't been able to remedy it before our arrival. Followed by, "you are in the jungle." (There was definitely more than one iguana! The next day we saw about 5 iguanas climbing the tree at the front deck, jumping onto the deck and roof). As my children were getting ready for bed that night, they screamed from the bathroom that there were bugs everywhere. There were large ants coming in/out of a hole in the shower tile, which I plugged with toilet paper. Needless to say, our youngest daughter cried until almost 10pm because she was afraid to go to sleep between the bugs and the iguana.
On Easter Sunday we awoke to a kitchen full of ants. We removed all fresh food from the kitchen and cleaned the counters well. Later in the day we found them in the bathroom closest to the front door, then on the other counter in the kitchen. I tried calling Marcela, but there was no answer. After dinner we returned to find that the other bathroom had ants all over the counter, sink, and in our kids toiletry bags/toothbrushes. At that point, my husband said, no more. At 9pm on Easter Sunday we packed up and moved to another location.
We were able to get a refund for the nights we did not stay, but there was no compensation for our loss of food, or disruption to our trip.
Be aware that you will see daylight around all exterior doors, some cracks large enough for small salamanders. Bugs/insects/small lizards can easily access the home as there is absolutely no insulation around the doorways, which of course also allows the hot/humid air indoors.
If you don't mind sharing a home with bugs and iguanas, you'll be fine. You'll also get plenty of exercise climbing up and down the driveway as it is extremely steep!
