About this cottage rental
This beautiful cottage was completely renovated with comfort and relaxation in mind. It is located in the Art District in Gulfport Florida which is within the Waterfront District. This 360 square foot cottage is the second cottage of three located on the Wishing Well property. It has an amazing kitchen with everything you need to cook or entertain friends. There is a large bathroom with a walk-in shower with a rain head! The bedroom has a new queen bed that is very comfortable. The living room has a leather futon perfect for guests. There is a large flat-screen TV in the living room with a DVD player. There is a smaller flat-screen TV in the bedroom.
**Please note that the cottage is perfect for a couple or a family with one or two younger children. It could be a bit tight for four adults, especially as the bathroom is accessed through the bedroom.
All of the shops, restaurants and Gulfport's beach are within a short walk of this cottage. This cottage has a lovely front porch for enjoying the Key West style atmosphere. We have a couple of bicycles at the property for guests to use to ride around town. There is also a large courtyard with a gazebo and gas grille for the enjoyment of guests.

the cottage is perfect for 2 people to live in a very pleasant

Three women stayed four nights. It was a little tight but as we are all good friends we were able to pull it off. The cottage is snug but well-appointed. We could have used a few more wall hooks or shelves for our belongings, but it was as described. We had coffee each morning on the porch and watched the friendly neighbors walk by our cottage. I would visit again. We were a block away from shopping and restaurants. Great location!

Delightful little cottage just half a block of off the main Beach Dr., 3 blocks from the beach. Very small but just right for 1-2 people. Clean and very well equipped. A bit loud with two bars nearby but loud not enough to be disturbing. Great coffee on the corner. Highly recommend.

We were there for 12 days ... yes its small but perfect for the 2 of us and our dog, we were not inside much. Perfect front porch to sit on and watch the interesting but nice people walk by to the kava bar. If you like to people watch perfect place. Short 5 min. Walk to pier .... great area to walk your dog. Golfport is a different little down but cute and not as busy as other near by areas. Relaxing area to visit.

Our cottage in Gulfport was awesome; quaint and cute and very efficient. Not only did we have the space we needed inside the cozy cottage... we also had an inviting front porch to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Make sure you take advantage of the guest bicycles and tour Gulfport. Absolutely adorable!

Cozy, comfortable, perfect little cottage in Gulfport. Great location: 2-3 block walk in any direction got you to shops, restaurants, bars and music, or the beach. Gulfport Beach on Boca Ciega Bay is just the right size for enjoying the sun, sand, and water without feeling crowded and the sunsets to the west over the water are breathtaking. The owners, David and Margaret, are easy to contact, and are friendly and helpful. Would totally recommend the "Green Cottage" for a happy stay in Gulfport.

Gonna Come back!

Yes, the green cottage is small, but it was perfect for two adults and a small senior pupper for a week's stay. It was clean and comfortable, and owner David responded quickly when we had a problem with a dripping A/C unit. Close to the Village Courtyard and Waterfront. We walked almost everywhere, and enjoyed listening to music from the North End Tap House and Kitchen stage every evening. Locals were friendly! St. Pete and St. Pete Beach are a short drive away. Street parking is hard to come by at certain hours so the alley-side parking was a blessing.
We loved our stay, hated to leave, and already know we will come back again if David and Margaret will have us!

For just a night or 2 it was great. The cottage is close to everything and met our needs. It was great to be able to use the courtyard to entertain my daughter and her friends who are students at Eckerd College. My only complaints would be lack of seating (there is only one small couch - no chairs), the AC unit cut on and off all night and the window shades did not block all the outside light out so it was difficult to sleep.

We stayed at the property for a week. This is the worst VRBO we have EVER stayed in. I would upload pictures, but there is no option to do that. This review may sound choppy b/c it has a limit on what you can write.
I have no idea how they possibly had gotten all the rave reviews. The only thing that was nice from our stay was the other renters we met (3 houses on one property).
First, it is very tiny. We knew that coming in. However, with the public visibility and lack of privacy you needed to keep the blinds closed, which made it feel like a cell.
Everything was DIRTY. The walls had years of grimy hand/fingers, especially around sides of doors, light switches, and door handles. The front exterior of the home was worse, lime green siding that is covered with dirt. Friends from the area were appalled by condition of the home - called it squeezy.
On arrival, getting dog settled in I spilled some of the dog water on the floor and wiped it up, the paper towel was BLACK. Thats how dirty the floors were. I mopped them three times to clean, not what I wanted to do on vacation. There were baseboard pieces missing and what was there was covered dirt and a lot of dog hair.
We rent a homes with kitchens so we don't have to eat out a lot. After checking the kitchen, the fridge, the coffee pot, garbage can cabinet, dish rack, and oven were disgusting. Neither my husband or I felt comfortable eating there. Garbage cabinet had coffee grounds, stains, and left-over dried food in it. Fridge had dead bug, dried liquid, and left over crumbs. I was going to wash two coffee mugs for coffee but even the dish rack was disgustingly dirty. The oven had hundreds of "no see'ems" crawling all over it, and roaches at night. Good thing they had spray for us to use or others left but slept with all the lights on. Woke up with several bug bites on my legs and stomach during our stay.

Gulfport is a quirky, quaint, artsy village on the water. Great place to have fun and relax. Beach, restaurants, dog park, tennis and pickleball courts are a short walk. The cottage is steps from the center of town. It is clean and nicely appointed. There are two nice bicycles available as well. Thanks David for a great vacation. Bob and Robin from Rhode Island.

Gulfport is a great destination. Sitting on this quaint front porch each night reminded us of what an excellent choice we made. Everyone stops to greet you - if you have a cute dog, it’s a PLUS! So much to do. Loved our stay.

Great little cottage in a perfect location in downtown Gulfport. Cottage was clean, bed was comfy, and owner was readily accessible if needed. Small but perfect place for a single, or couple.

My only complaint but it seems all the light bulbs were in the 40 to 60 watt range. Tough for old folks with bad eyes. No other compkaints. Great location.

The hosts were wonderful, and made our check in easy. They were quick to respond to any of our questions, and needs. We will definitely rent this cottage again. It was a wonderful experience.

Sweet little place to call home in the area. Bigger inside than it looks. Great tv/internet, comfy furnishings, good hot water. Bonus: all the soap, TP, paper towels and more that we needed for our 3-night stay. Many VRBO’s don’t supply these, and it’s so nice just to get there and not immediately have to run out to the store for supplies. Super responsive owner as well. Recommended.

This was a very spontaneous first time visit to Gulfport Beach. The location was ideal- the most amazing coffee was just a few houses down at SumitrA- AMAZING breakfast at Stella’s and fabulous Italian food at Pías! We will definitely be back. The cottage was spotless, well furnished and had everything we needed! Thank you!

Cute little cottage right on the side of downtown Gulfport. We really like Gulfport and vacation here yearly. We were a little nervous being so close to the bars and live music but things quieted down quickly at night and had no issues. Nice beach chairs, cottage had good amenities. Only complaint is I have a bad back and couldn't find a comfortable sitting spot inside. The bed was comfortable though! Thanks for a nice stay.

Had a great stay. Very nice. Had everything we needed. A nice front porch with my a table and 2 chairs to sit, relax and watch the world go by. Parking easy no problem with the private parking area. You gotta go to Pia, it's walking distance from the unit. Theres a great place called Stella's for breakfast. 2 nice coffee shops, a bakery, a place to get beer and just sit and relax. All within we alminf distance.

Gulfport Cottage
The cottage was perfect for our king weekend. Our son was graduating from Stetson Law School which is very close. We were able to go to the beaches within 15 minutes and walk to lots of restaurants and coffee shops. I have been ti Gulfport sever times and wish it would have found this place soon. The owner David greeted us on Friday and had recently done some work to the improve his property. We took advantage of the bikes one morning and toured the area. I would stay again for sure!

Birthday celebration
My eldest granddaughter was born in April, my birthday month 19 years ago! She attends college in Florida so her mom, my daughter & I flew down from 30 degree temps to celebrate her day! Delicious seafood, warm sands & gulf waters, all within walking distance. Wonderful memories in a wonderful location!
