Great place to completely relax and explore the area. And play golf, if that’s your thing.

We wanted to explore Bohemian/Saxonian Switzerland (Elbsandsteingebirge). Originally we intended to stay at Bad Schandau but found Hotel Devitka in only 13 km distance, close to the border. While there is a lot going on directly at the Elbe/Labe, Janov lies extremely calm on a plateau where you can see for miles and really relax. It’s a great place to explore the area, if you get there by car or are prepared to climb for 3 km by bike at the end of your ride. Hotel Devitka belongs to the golf course „Golf Janov“, so it‘s really at the end of the small village. The rooms are quite new, spacious and well equipped. There is a nice breakfast buffet and it’s possible to have dinner, basically Czech cuisine with little daily changes. Since the hotel is run by a small but very friendly staff there is little service possible during the day - dinner time starts at 6 pm. We enjoyed the food, beer and selection of wine very much. We stayed for 5 nights and would return any time.

Good value for money. Good atmpsphere. Good breakfast

The breakfast is nice. The service team is very supportive and welcome, available and willing to help. We did not have any issue with parking lot. And the location is quit and calm

Loved it

Beautifully cool room on a very hot day. Clean, spacious with a big balcony overlooking the golf course with the mountains in the distance. The staff were great and very helpful despite the language barrier. Both evening meals and the breakfast buffet were really good. Hrensko is 5 minutes by car down the road. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay.

One night stop over near Hrensko

Rooms were excellent and plenty of space. View magnificent and plenty of on site activities possible for adults and kids. Location near Hrensko perfect for access to seeing the sights.

Breakfast could have been better with more choices. Bathroom floor tiles could do with a bit of maintenance.

Great place! Wonderful staff/owner.

Everything about this hotel - location, staff, breakfast, room itself, bathroom, wifi, recreation room were perfect. 10 stars for this!

There was no drinking water provided. It would be great if a water bottle, some tea bags and such, or at least a small water boiler was present in the room. Everything in the village was closed (off season) and there was no way of getting any water anywhere. A small minus for this.

Good staff, included free breakfast (it was not included when I booked). Nice, new apartments.

On booking it was said that check-in is from 17:00, when I arrived on door was information that check in is from 18:00.

The location, parking, room was nice and bathroom perfect, breakfast was really good.

Smudges on the walls from killed mosquitoes, or bugs, should be cleaned.

Very good

We had a really nice big room with a balcony. The personnel was very friendly and always helpful. For hiking, the hotel is an ideal starting point (which unfortunately we could not take full advantage of due to a current wildfire in the national park).

Exceed expectations

Very nice environment, good view in to the mountains (not all of rooms), good playground, restaurant nearby, high view tower nearby. Cosy rooms and bathroom.

Nice hotel

Great location near the Bohemian Paradise (Czeski Raj).

Simple breakfast, but unfortunately small room where the food was and we needed to wait in line for about 10 min because there were a lot of people.

Owner's hospitality is incredibly huge, as well as how comfortable and beautifully decorated and equipped are the rooms.

Great location

Clean and big rooms, all quite new. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Hotel is located a bit in the middle of nowhere, bur for that reason a good starting point for hiking.

If there is something then it would be great to have some margarine aside the butter for breakfast.

Great stay- comfortable, clean, everything we needed

Well stocked, very clean. Storage units for our bikes. Common area nice for guests. Good food and bar on site. Friendly staff.

Nothing! Just note it’s a bit up the hill if you’re on bicycles like we were :)

New hotel, but basic

Modern rooms, nice bathroom. Very good location, close to Bohemian Paradise. Good breakfast. Clean and quiet. In front of the hotel there is a big golf course.

The rooms are ok, but pretty basic. Our room didn’t look exactly like in the pictures and seemed smaller. The standard double/twin rooms do not have a view, they face the parking.
