Upon arrival the bedroom smelled of heating oil. We tried opening the window, but was simply too cold. We had to leave the property. We were only there a few hours. We contacted both the property manager and VRBO. We offered to pay for the 1st night and requested a refund for the rest. We contacted the property manager several times but never received a response. Neither helped us and we lost our money. It was a horrible experience:(

After a couple of weeks seeing the UK and Ireland with 9 of our kids and grandkids, we wanted a few days to rest. We loved being in the Sligo area and dining at the nearby Beach Bar. Downpatrick Head was great to see & we even drove to the Giant’s Causeway while we were in the area. Sheila’s house was a nice place to rest and relax. We loved attending church in nearby Screen. A great ending to a great trip!

There are actually two apartments in the house, one is spacious and comfortable, three bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dish washer, washing machine ...
The second one is small and has no seperate kitchen, one bedroom downstairs that is rather dark and cold.
The hostess is very friendly and helpful.

Me and my wife spent a wonderful
week in this lovely, spacious
house.( Date's from the 29aug to 5sep 2022 ) The decor, furniture
and fittings are top notch. It was an upside down house everything was immaculate.
It had spacious floor area in the living area up stair and a very large bedroom downstairs . It was dog friendly and had a large back garden for the dog to run around.
There was a patio area at the rear which came in handy because the weather for us was brilliant .the beach was
fantastic. It was just down the road we didn't have far to go.just a couple of minutes
Our Host Sheila McDermott couldn't have been more helpful. ThankYou Sheila
I WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK

We had a really relaxing time in Sheila’s rental property. It is a beautiful renovated house in a stunning coastal part of Ireland. Our dog loved the large back garden. It’s a perfect base camp for Atlantic coast walks.

We stayed at one of Sheila’s landmark properties, the 3 bed house at Aughris. What a well equipped, inviting house, with lovely views. It was a fabulous spot, we’d definitely stay again. It was an enchanting place.

Per friendly accommodation in a beautiful area
We had a lovely stay here, we enjoyed the beautiful area, the house and facilities, and communication with the host was very easy.
The only issue I have is with VRBO, who think it is acceptable to add charges to a bill when you go to pay, with no reason given. To be honest I wouldn't deal with them again, pity.

We had a really lovely time at this cosy property. It was great for kids too. The only issue we had was one night there was such a loud noise from the attic (heating I think?) that we could not sleep in the room with the 4 post bed. We mentioned it to Sheila and to be honest it was pretty much dismissed. Other than that it was a lovely stay

Alles bestens!
Also insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

Stunning location, highly recommended.
With great views of Benbulben and Knocknarea, this is a great spot. Very handy for a number of beaches, Aughris pier and The Beach Bar. It was perfect for our extended family to get together and have a great time. Excellent facilities.

Lovely
Beautiful setting for family holiday (1yr old, 6yr old, 4 adults including disabled as well as multiple dogs). Large shared garden that the kids and dogs loved, luckily we had wonderful holiday neighbours next door who tried to keep gates closed for us for peace of mind. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back in future when kids are a little older. Close to beautiful beaches and plenty to do within driving distance. But if you want peace and quiet I highly recommend. Nearby Dromore has a lovely pub with great food and the service was excellent. Beautiful scenery all about with plenty of opportunities for exploration. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating, often on hand for any questions, recommendations or concerns. Thank you.

The house was very clean and functional. We enjoyed our stay. Being near the ocean was a plus.
Sheila was very nice to us. She went above and beyond to help me find my second cousin. She even came and led us to her when we had trouble finding her. It was a nice property.

Great stay
We had a lovely few days at the Landmark. The house suited our needs perfectly and was close to some wonderful walks. The beach bar was very handy and Sheila was extremely helpful. Pity about the weather but that's an Irish summer for you.

EXCELLENT TIME HAD BY ALL
We booked this as a last minute thing and with these type of plans you arent really sure what to expect! We were pleasantly surprised! We got a very warm welcome with a roaring fire and provisions left for us. The house has been recently renovated to a very high standard and a home from home! The rooms were very spacious and well furnished with plenty of storage and the house very modern throughout with a well equiped modern kitchen with everything you could possibly need! Wifi was included which was a great hit with the kids. Plenty of space outside with beautiful views and within walking distance of the beach and local bar/restaurant with fab food and friendly locals. It was an excellent base for surrounding local attractions. Sheila the owner was extremley attentive, friendly and helpful and was on hand to answer any queries. Hamish our dog loved it too, plenty of space for him to run around! Would highly recommend this fantastic house and will definitely will be back!
