Super comfy and cute house that was perfect for our four person family. Hosts are super helpful, nice people. Great place to enjoy the tides or visit the many coastal towns in the area. Loved our stay and will surely visit again.

Fantastic vacation!
My husband and I spent a week in the property in late June. It's a wonderful little place--we spent most of our time at the house on the screen porch, which is a great feature because the forested neighborhood is naturally buggy. We also brought a kayak and enjoyed paddling around the cove. As others have noted, there is not enough water on the property to float anything at low tide, but even at the lowest tides the window in which we couldn't get in the water was only about an hour long. We were able to get down to the float with no trouble at all times, but I can imagine it would be more difficult for some when the water is lower and the ramp is steeper. The property owner, Harry, was extremely helpful and responsive. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to spend a relaxing vacation on the Maine coast. We also enjoyed the nice nearby towns of Bath, Brunswick, and Freeport, and the many excellent seafood restaurants scattered throughout the islands.

Everything was as promised
The house was cozy with all the amenities and a great view. Loved having my morning coffee on the porch and watching the birds. The location was perfect for access to all our favorite spots. Great communication with Harry and Mary. We would definitely come back.

Nice property
Enjoyed the cottage. Everything we needed was made available to us (grill, laundry, fans). The only complaint was we had no idea low tide took all the water from the cove and the float would not be useable.

A homey, comfortable, clean, and peaceful getaway
We loved staying at Harry & Mary's cottage in Harpswell. It was clean and homey. Everything we needed was there. We loved the screened-in porch and spent the majority of our time there. The neighborhood was quiet and perfect for a short run or walk with the dogs and family. The float was a perfect spot to take in the rapidly changing landscape and we spent tons of time there as well. Thanks for everything and we'd love to return.

Nice house in a great location!
This house was perfect for our 10 day family getaway with dogs. The wooded surroundings gave a sense of privacy and we woke to a plethora of songbirds flitting through the trees. It was great to be able to see the tide come in and out (along with clam harvesters on a couple of mornings) from the screened-in porch. Egrets, herons, osprey and a bald eagle regularly visited the inlet and were visible from the dock. We brought 2 kayaks and a canoe with us. We kept 1 kayak and the canoe at the house's dock and kept the 2nd kayak at the neighborhood beach landing - a 5 minute walk from the property. This arrangement allowed one of us to get out on the water even when the tide was at it's lowest point. (When the tide is out, the ramp to the dock is too steep to descend and the water is too low for boating.)
The house itself was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Our teenage kids said that the bunk beds were uncomfortable but the other two beds were just fine. One of our teens resorted to sleeping on the pull-out coach in the living room. There is an impressive collection of books and videos and some games at the house. Due to the pandemic, we did almost all of our own cooking with food we brought supplemented with a vast array of fresh seafood available in the area.
Overall we had a wonderful stay which was complemented by easy and helpful communication with the hosts. Highly recommended.

Ahhhh....
So relaxing. Nice neighbors, not to close. Deck is great place to visit the sun. The porch is the BEST.

Super quiet and relaxing
We are avid readers, kayakers and nature watchers, so this setting was perfect. We lacked for nothing. The screened porch, the living room and the bedrooms all had very comfortable furniture. The kitchen was well-stocked. The path to the dock is VERY steep so I was very grateful for the gentle boat launch a five-minute walk away. I could leave my kayak there for the week and head out for pre-dawn paddles easily. A most enjoyable stay !

Relaxing space in a quiet cove
We loved, loved, loved the location! A short drive out of Brunswick , the house sits off a dirt road in a private community. Your private dock is a quick, but steep climb down from the house and we immediately saw a bald eagle and several ospreys fishing the cove. (Bring your binoculars!) We brought the kayak and left it on the dock the whole week. You can only paddle out at high tide, as the cove becomes almost completely dry at low tide (you can purchase local clams at Holbrooks at the end of Cundy's Harbor Rd.) You can always access the point at the end of the road and leave your kayak there in a pinch (or put in there if you don't like dropping in off a dock.) Harry and Mary leave you with parking passes for the point as well as a couple of bikes. They were easy to communicate with leading up to and during our stay. The screened in porch was a lifesaver with the mosquitos, and we ate all our meals out there. The house was equipped with just about everything we needed for cooking and grilling. Our only complaint was that all of the throw pillows could use replacing, With the nature of Maine coastal living, they were all super musty and old. Overall, a great spot for a quiet getaway in central coast Maine!

Beautiful home in a beautiful location
We stayed in this home for three weeks and couldn't have been happier. The owners were responsive, clear and helpful, the house itself was very clean and beautifully furnished, and the location was perfect. When the tide was high, we spent our time sitting out on the dock or swimming with our dogs. I was working in Brunswick and the commute was fairly easy. There are tons of walking/hiking trails nearby, there's great food in the area, and it was nice to be near both Brunswick and Bath. It was everything we were looking for and we can't wait to return!

Wonderful rental property
We had a week at this location and couldn't have asked for more, had everything we needed. Spend most of our time on the screened in porch until it was to dark out to see anything of read our books. Morning coffee was so relaxing out on the porch as well. The cottage was very clean and well furnished. We also liked the area and kayaking in this area.
The listing description was accurate, and the property was well maintained. We would recommend and will recommend this location to our friends if they are headed to Maine.
We hit the Salt Cod Cafe, the Sea Dog in Brunswick, Hawks Lobster at Cundy's Harbor, Morses Cribstone Grill, on Bailey Island.
Went to the "Giant Steps" several time just to sit and watch the ocean, beautiful location. We will return next year if we can.
Thanks Harry and Mary for a great week.
