Excelente riad en el corazón de la Medina

Emplacement idéal, très charmante Riad avec un accueil chaleureux

La gentillesse de l accueil. Les chambres propres. Très soigné et idéalement situé. Endroit très décoré dans l ancien dar de 250 ans. Petit déjeuner maison, copieux et agréablement servi au salon ancien. Je recommande!!

Riad para recomendar

Nos ayudaron tanto antes como durante nuestra estancia. Fueron a recogernos al aeropuerto y el chico del riad vino hasta la puerta de la medina para acompañarnos. La habitación, la junior suite, muy chula. La cama en alto le encantó a mi hija. Es fácil de encontrar en la medina. Un ríad totalmente recomendable

Para mejorar las almohadas y el desayuno. También hay que mencionar pero esto es algo genérico en todos los Ríad, q si te quedas en una habitación en una planta baja lo escucharas todo y a la hora de dormir puede ser un fastidio pero ya digo que es algo que pasa en todos

Une super adresse à Tetouan. On a adoré

Idealement placé dans la médina. Tres beau DAR bien décoré. petit déjeuner copieux. Chambre très agréable: comme il faisait un peu frais en mars, une couverture supplémentaire nous a été proposée. L'accueil est vraiment charmant Merci à Anna et Ibrahim . Vraiment adorables

Friendly, honest staff who really care that you have a good experience at Dar Fama!

The staff at Dar Fama were very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They walked me to the Palacio Royal area several times until I was confident I knew the way even though it's just a few minutes away! It is a convenient location and the overall vibe is low key.

Best service

The staff were the bests hosts I've had. Hanae and Asha were so kind, attentive and welcoming. This riad offers genuine hospitality. Our bed was really comfortable and our room so quiet. It is my favourite stay in Morocco.

Really enjoyed our stay in Tetouan the wonderful friendly staff at this Riad made us feel so welcome

The staff were wonderful and helpful and guided us through the city when we first arrived. We asked to change rooms from the junior suite which has a bed up steep little stairs and they were wonderfully accommodating and moved us immediately to another comfortable room.It’s easy walking distance through the Medina and accessible to cafes shops and restaurants and historic sights.Highly recommend visiting the Loukach mosque which contains a fantastic museum of Islamic history and only cost 10 MAD to visit Breakfast was served every day but surprisingly no eggs in any form on offer which is rare for Morocco

It’s a shame whoever decorated the place chose to put art deco light shades in a very traditional Marocco Riad especially as the traditional lighting choices here are stunning. The clashing floral of the upholstery with the tiles was unforgettable and unfortunate. However the photos on the website already indicated clearly how ugly the lobby decor is.

Quarto espaçoso, limpo e com um cheiro maravilhoso. Aliás, todo o Riad é cheiroso! A decoração é sublime. Pequeno almoço completo. Nós optamos por visitar a cidade e a Medina a solo, mas os funcionários foram super prestáveis e ofereceram-se para nos arranjar serviço de guia. O Riad fica localizado mesmo na Medina, perto das principais atrações. À noite, um dos funcionários ofereceu-se para nós ir comprar água, quando perguntamos se tinham... Super prestáveis. Sentimo-nos em família. Muito obrigada!

Sublime !

Nous avons passé un très bon moment à Dar Fama. Un lieu exceptionnel, raffiné et rénové avec goût et élégance dans les règles de l'artisanat marocain. Nous étions 2 familles (4 adultes et 5 enfants) et tout le monde était très satisfait: des chambres, du petit déjeuner et du personnel qui nous a réservé un très bon accueil. Un très bon endroit pour savourer Tetouan, sa médina et sa ville nouvelle.

Nice place but poor breakfast.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was very quiet

Breakfast was poorly organised , we waited for 45 minutes before anything arrived. It would have beeen nice to receive a drink while we waited, but we were just left to sit and wait.

The room was tastefully designed. The beds are comfy.

The room was stuffy and kinda gloomy. We think it lacks ventilation. The room carries a smell from the outside streets and sticks in your clothes. The rooftop terrace wasnt really in good shape to be having breakfast there. Laundry service was poor. We hired a tour guide but we expected more information and explanation. Some dates amd facts weren't clear.

A beautiful introduction to Morocco

Everything. Prior to arriving, all my questions were answered promptly and accurately. After settling in to our room, Youness showed us how to get around the Medina and town. He was so helpful, kind and communication was so easy. Youness and his staff made us feel welcome at all times. Our room was comfortable and clean and the location was perfect. Thank you to everyone at Riad Dar Fama for making our stay a lovely experience. 😊

Exceptional

Nice room for 4 on the ground floor. Great location in the Medina close to Bab Okla (one of the 7th entrances to the medina). Access to the top-level terrace for views, chilling, and breakfast. The room is beautiful: old zellig tiles in the floors and columns. Carved wooden doors. Tastefully decorated. Loved their 2 sofabeds, were really 2 single beds with many pillows if you want to use it as a sofa. All mattresses were excelent. Every member of the staff is very nice and super helpful.

Breakfast is quite simple. It could be improved with yogurts and more variety of seasonal fruits. In addition, our room on the ground floor had a strong unpleasant smell coming from the drains. This may or may not be an issue with the rooms on the higher floors.

Great stay at Dar Fama

Great location, very helpful host, this beautiful Ryad met all the expectations. The host came out to the main gate to wait for us and take us to the Ryad and was extremely accommodating on our late arrival.

We waited around an hour to have breakfast maybe because of Ramadan. Not enough light in the room.

A beautiful riad in the heart of the medina with helpful staff.

A very beautiful old riad. Comfortable beds, hot water in the shower. Great staff - the guys were very helpful, took us to the currency exchange by hand and helped us buy a sim card.

You have to realise that this is the heart of the medina and it's very noisy until 12am. But then it's absolutely quiet. And also my own personal whim - the breakfast at the hotel is sweet, I'm not used to it.

Beautiful Dar for your visit to Tetouan

Dar Fama is your second home in Morocco. Host Youness immediately makes you feel welcome and even shows you around in the Medina, so you won’t get lost. We truly appreciated this extra service. Dar Fama has a beautiful rooftop with an amazing view. Having breakfast at the rooftop is a great start to a beautiful day in the medina of Tetouan. The rooms are cosy, spacious and very clean. Congratulations to the whole team of Dat Fama for their effort.

Very good

The staff were amazing! They did everything they could to make us comfortable. They were very helpful with showing us where the banks were and took us to a lovely restaurant. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. Thank you Dar Fama.

The faulty air conditioning did cause a problem, the room was so cold we couldn't sleep and when I contacted Booking.com they were very unhelpful. However the hotel staff provided a heater which made the room warm.

the location was decent, in the depths of the casbah. the staff was adequately friendly (even if they only spoke Arabic) and the breakfast ok, standard Moroccan.

the sheets were stained and the room rather dark and uncomfortable. the staff could have gone to greater lengths to make us feel more at home.

Everything was perfect! The beautiful accommodation - all new, comfortable and practical, the very friendly and helpful staff and the location, very close to Bab Okla! I'll definitely return!

Dar that raises the experience of Tetouan!

The host/property manager, Youness, help make the stay probably the best--if not one of the best--stay I've had in Morocco. He has been SO responsive and helpful (via WhatsApp) for all recommendations and questions, it's quite hard to believe. If you want *very reasonable/affordable* Moroccan clothing for yourself or gifting: ASK HIM!! He knows the best spots to eat too, and all the advice you need to make your stay go from simply great to extraordinarily excellent. Plus, his google map skills & accuracy is without rival! The staff there are all great people; thank you to young Ibrahim and his brother for coming to guide me from the gate and to the shops in this old part of the city where Google maps don't have it laid out. The place itself is immaculate. I have a large room enough to spaciously accommodate 4 or a whole family, and I rarely felt so comfortable walking barefoot because there's no particle debris on the floor (aside from the coldness of course). The interior is nicely accented with furnishing and the second floor courtyard style is very stylish. The value here is just excellent and unexpected looking from the outside. And the breakfast is ample and delicious.

Honestly, I have practically nothing to say that's bad about this property. When I was booking a night stay in Tetouan, I hadn't expected much, but the place and particularly the staff blew my expectations away. I only wish I had booked at least another night to check out the city (way better driving experience than in Marrakesh or Fes), which I think is underrated by ignorant prospective tourists--including me prior to. The only critique I have is maybe clean up (bleach) the corners of the shower a bit?
