About this house rental
This roomy three Bedroomed house is oozing with character. It is one of three separate units at The Landmark Holiday Lets at Aughris, Sligo, ( also available for larger groups is the Cosy Cottage and the Upside Down House ).
This a quiet seaside location with great sandy beaches and wonderful views of the sea and mountains. This is an area of unspoilt natural beauty. The location is particularly suited to families or to Walking, Golf or Surfing enthusiasts who want a central base to sample what Sligo has to offer. A major attraction nearby is the Beach Bar, an authentic old world pub/restaurant which is only 12 minutes walk from the house.
We have been operating the very popular Beach House and Annex in Aughris since 2006 and are now delighted to offer another property of the same high standard in this fabulous location.
This newly renovated house ( formerly Battles shop) is located directly on the Wild Atlantic Way and it will not disappoint . The location is unbeatable. The three bedrooms of the main house are especially spacious ( each one could easily take 2 double beds) and the large garden at the rear is a delightful place to unwind or kick a ball around.
Whilst the bedrooms in the 3bed unit can comfortably sleep 8, the living space is more suited to 6 people.

Bhain muid sult mór as ár laethanta saoire i Sligeach. Bhí an teach go hiontach agus bhí achan rud ann sa teach. Bhain ár madadh an laethanta saoire chomh maith toisc go raibh sé ábalta súgradh ó dhubh go dubh leis na madraí eile.

We loved the location of the house, easy to drive to plenty of beaches and forest walks. The house was homely and relaxed, great for the dog. We liked that we could park easily and had the run of the garden. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds were comfortable.

Cosy, clean and hospitable
Cosy cottage in a quiet area, close to the beautiful ocean, beaches and the Aughris Landmark. Complete house, even including dishwasher and washing machine, clean and with large bedrooms.
The house was a good base for outings to Sligo and surroundings, drive part of the Wild Atlantic Way, and for visiting a wedding of friends in the beautiful Markree Castle in Collooney.
Very friendly owner who provided all the information and even offered to bring us to the wedding.
Thanks Sheila.

Amazing place and great location!!
We had a great stay here, the place was recently renovated and they did a lovely job. Very clean , big comfortable bed, great open kitchen, relaxing shower, laundry machine wasn't the best but works, and the gas fireplace was a romantic touch to the living room. Overall a great place

Just a wonderful, clean, quiet location. Close to tons of natural beauty.
I hated to leave. This property was just perfect for exploring The Wild Atlantic Way. The home was so clean, and well equipped, it was a pleasure to come home to it each evening. I particularly enjoyed watching the cows across the way lined up to come into the pasture each morning and then lined up to go back to the barn each evening. Don't see much of that in Dublin! There are pastures of sheep everywhere, and exploring the narrow roads was one of the things I liked most. As Sheila tells you, when sitting on the sofa in the upstairs living room, you have a view across to the Atlantic and beyond. It's very peaceful! If you are looking for a self-catering location to use as a base - you won't go wrong with this selection!

Lovely house, great location
The house is clean and comfortable, we especially liked the spacious bedroom. The nearby beach is great for a run or for just relaxing and taking in the views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend staying at the Landmark.

Get away from it all.
We enjoyed our stay at the Landmark. Lovely beach at the end of the road. The beach house Bar and Restaurant meant you had some where near by to go for a bite to eat and a drink if you didnt want to travel the 20mile to Sligo town. The Landmark is right in the country with fields of cows all around and you could see the sea from the sitting room window. We would recommend this place if you wish to get away from it all.

Nice Place
A nice and wonderful house with enough room to move around, close (2 km) to the Atlantic. The house was cozy, tidy and had everything required for a comfortable stay.
Sheila was a kind and gracious host, who worked hard to make sure our stay was perfect.
We hope to return soon with our whole family!
