About this chalet rental

Our warm/cozy home is perfectly located off the Sachem Trail at Okemo Mountain (ski on/off). Our first floor has a mudroom, bright open family room with gas fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, stove, fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. Large dinning room table with view of brook and valley below. Comfortable living room with gas fireplace, cable TV, including wifi. Master bedroom with king size bed and separate trundle bed, second upstairs bedroom with queen size bed with a washer/dryer combination. Third bedroom with a full bed. Fourth bedroom with two sets of bunk beds and dresser. Two recently renovated full bathrooms on each floor.

Great property for quick access to Okemo. Cozy and comfortable, with a very responsive owner — who even provides a hand drawn map to ensure you know which roads to avoid.

The place was clean, fabulous bedding, and great location. The only negative is the drive way. It was a sheet of ice and the owner, luckily, had a full bag of salt. But we had to unload the car first. Sadly, my husband fell getting stuff out of the car really badly and bruised his rib. Thank goodness he didn’t hit his head! It was really dangerous. We got the driveway in a better spot after using the rock salt. But be very careful. Get the rock salt out immediately before unloading your car.

We stay at Okemo at least once per year, and this property was excellent. The property was very clean and nicely updated. Ski area is a quick walk up the road. Would definitely stay again.

Great house for 2-family Okemo getaway with parents and teens. The house is well maintained, immaculate, fully equipped, updated, and comfortable. Excellent location for skiing with Sachem trail access just across the street and up the hill a bit. We enjoyed our stay and would book it again on a return trip if available.

Property is well suited for ski in and ski out. Layout and amenities are great for serious skiers and or boarders. Would recommend for small groups parking of multiple vehicles with heavy snow is a challenge just due to space. Kitchen and dining well appointed and easy to use.

Really liked our stay. Just a couple of minutes walk to the Sachem trail. The house was really well stocked (towels, tissue, soaps, etc.) and clean. New decor. Gas fireplace. We had a slight coffee spill and the owner didn't make a big deal of it (though you should not stay here and plan to spill your drink).

We loved our stay at John’s home. The property was nestled on the mountainside with easy access to the Sachem trail and lift which accommodates our mixed ski abilities. Great accommodations for young children with the bunk bed room and trundle mattress!

The house was beautiful, beds were comfy, and kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals at home. It was a very short walk up the hill to get on Sachem Trail and we had a fabulous time skiing. John was incredibly helpful and responsive, though we had ZERO issues with the house. We definitely hope to rent this home again - truly a 5 star experience!

We had an amazing time at this property. We had four adults and four children (Ages 9, 6 and 6) and it worked great. Easy access to the trail and town. The host was incredibly accommodating and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again!

Had a great family ski week at OKEMO thanks to VRBO. John, the owner, was fantastic prior to the trip (via email) and during the trip (via email & phone.) We locked the key in the house one day and he was available by phone to troubleshoot it.Very comfortable home for adults and children. Clean, bright, excellent accommodations/sheets/towels/blankets. Well-equipped kitchen with anything and everything you could need for a meal (pots/pans/spices.) Great location. Wi-fi worked great. The mud room was fantastic. Gas fireplace was a huge hit for everyone. Stayed with a kindergartner & 2nd grader as well as grandparents still skiing at ages 82 yo and 75 yo. Both kids can ski greens easily and blues too. Sachem lift was closed for 4 out of 5 weekdays we were there, but they easily made it down the blue trail that brings you to sachem trail. To make it easier with kids, we drove our skis up the hill, then walked up the hill in our ski boots. Only used the lodge at solitude to warm up once and for a quick bathroom break. All in all, during COVID times, this house fit our needs 100% and we hope we can return for another visit!
