The home stay was nice to break away from hotels.
Sadly the stay was not great. They were busy renovating and it was a building site. Apparently the owner said that they did inform booking.com not to take further bookings? This was not clear as I still received a message from the home stay’s manager to pay in advance to secure a good room? I just think they should have informed us they are busy with building and renovations so we could have arranged something else. Our room was supposed to have a garden view, but this was not the case. We had dinner there which was lovely. We could not use the rooftop as mentioned in the reviews. I am sure it will look great when finished but it is just fair to not take bookings till renovations are finished.

Owner and staff are extremely kind and helpful. Despite civil work taking place during our stay we didn’t had any issues on the contrary they ensured no work while we had breakfast or lunch. Rooms are nicely decorated and decent size. Home made breakfast and dinner was very delicious and as per our need.
Water heater not working in winter season was not comfortable

Amazing property with spacious rooms and a great location. The hosts were amazing in their approach and made the stay feel close to home. A special note for the furry friend :-) he is a sweetheart and will take your heart away.

The host was a kind-hearted woman who offered her hospitslity during our stay. Although I cancelled the reservstion of the second night due to an issue, she did us a favor to waive the cancellation fee and did not charge us.
The smell of odor-blocking stuff was too strong.
In the morning a coterie of people were chanting in the hall behind the door of our room, which was quite disturbung.

This Homestay made us feel upper class, because it was such a beautiful house, interior and service!
There's nothing we've missed during our stay.
But if you expect an authentic homestay where you have contact to the family who lives there, you have to know that you will communicate to the manager. That wasn't that clear from the beginning. They have staff for the housekeeping and we were kind of confused about who we should talk to if we have any questions.
That's the only thing we thought that could be improved: communication!
Otherwise it's one if the most beautiful abd best Homestays ever.

Beautiful family home feel and so welcoming and helpful. We missed breakfast as we slept in but we heard it was great! Stunning interior design and lovely comfy rooms with super bathroom too. We also love Cooper, the friendly family dog, at the property!
The location is a little further out from places we wanted to head out to. This was good for feeling relaxed but worth bearing in mind that taxi or tuk tuk is needed. It was very close to the railway station however.

The family who own the house and the staff were fantastic. They were so welcoming and they have a wonderful family history, which was very interesting to discover. The rooms were very comfortable, food was really tasty, quiet and calm location away from the craziness of Jaipur. This was one of our favourite places that we stayed at whilst in India, we would certainly recommend it to others.

Everything! It’s the best homestay I’ve ever stayed and not only in India. Wonderful house full of history, lovely hosts, spacious and very tastefully decorated bedrooms with bathrooms attached, tasty food - I recommend in 100% to stay here. It’s a gem in busy Jaipur :)
Everything was just perfect!

This home is beautiful and the family that runs this heritage home were awesome. My husband was sick and they went above and beyond to help him. They brought medicines and fruit. Coconut water. We even extended our stay.
Nothing...everything was great

We were a family with young kids and our parents staying for 3 days and we had a wonderful stay at Dera Jaipur. All the rooms were spacious, clean with all facilities & amenities we needed. The host and staff are very gracious and we were provided with everything we asked for. Food is home made, fresh and delicious. Cooper the dog is adorable. The hosts stay on the property and are always available in case of recommendations or questions.
Everything was perfect and highly recommended for families visiting Jaipur.

Stunning place, feels like staying in a palace. Beautiful rooms, attention to details, great breakfast!
Great place to stay depending on the purpose of your trip. if you’re here to visit Jaipur, this is a great place and would definitely recommend it! If you’re here for a wedding or to go out late at night, this might not be the place for you as coming back late at night needs coordination with the owner to enter the home as this is a guest home and not a hotel

Hot water problem. The water heater system is not properly synchronized and we not were informed.

It’s a beautiful property, clean, and I slept well.
Currently they only accept cash payments which was really inconvenient for me because it was my last day in India. There where no signs or details listed anywhere that said cash payments only and that’s something that all guests should be aware of. When I paid, they did not have exact change for me so I didn’t receive all of my change. The host didn’t offer to round up so that I wouldn’t be short any money. They overcharge on services such as food, taxis, and bottled water yet couldn’t spare a few rupees. For the inconvenience, they could’ve at least given me a discount on the taxi to the airport or offered me a bottle of water for the road. If you book a taxi to the airport through them then it’s more than double the cost of an Uber. Overall hospitality needs some work and prices need to be more reasonable. Also, it seems like the water is heavily chlorinated or something because it irritated my eyes when showering. Compared to the other homestays I stayed in India, this place was lacking.

Lovely place to stay in Jaipur! I loved the dahlias in the garden, clean comfy bed, good bathroom and shower, and most of all the lovely host who tells guests about her family’s history. All around recommended!
nothing.

Great homestay - fantastic staff, who are always able to help. The bedroom was huge and the bed was extremely comfortable - we slept very well. The location is great because it is a short distance from central parts of Jaipur but far quieter. The breakfast was also perfect. Overall, a great place to stay.

Incredible staff that make you feel instantly welcome, the homestay is just beautiful and each room decorated and has great natural light through out. Very pleasant garden and family dog who was very friendly and playful. Brilliant food and wifi for working, quiet but also close enough to all the shops/tourist places to visit. I hope to stay here again one day soon.
Nothing, it was perfect.

Beautiful property where we were made to feel like old friends of the family and not just paying customers.
Lots of memorabilia on the walls, you could spend a few hours just visiting the house!
Rekha was a true and gracious host in every way and her and her family spoke perfect English.
Gorgeous leafy garden with flowers and birds in the morning.
Super cute dog.
Great location - close enough to get anywhere easily, but far enough to have peace and quiet (and no car horns!). You can however hear the train horns, but you can hear those from anywhere in the city.
Absolutely delicious food, eat here for dinner!
Spacious room with marble flooring and beautiful decor.
Separate wardrobe room (very convenient to store our backpacks there) however no hangers.
Finally, a comfortable bed in India with non-feather pillows!
Small electric water heater - make sure to ask it be turned on before you arrive otherwise you'll be in for a chilly surprise when you shower. It's also just enough for 2 quick showers.
Water provided in copper bottles only, which are supposed to be purifying. Would be nice to have the option of sealed plastic bottles for those with extremely sensitive tummies.

I could not recommend this place more. It is an exceptional place to stay. The staff are very friendly, organised, attentive and informative. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and of high quality. The mattress is akin to that you would expect in a 5* hotel. The breakfast caters for a variety of tastes and is recommended. The staff are happy to help organise travel for you, although are completely understanding by should you not wish to pursue the options offered.
The Homestay itself is steeped in family military history and cultural artefacts that make for pleasant viewing.
Oh, and I cannot forget ‘Cooper’ the Golden Retriever - who is a playful and friendly dog, but kept away from rooms and common areas.
Nothing!

Very clean and comfortable stay. The room was nice and big and the breakfast was tasty.
It didn't feel like a warm homely homestay, everything came at a charge including a simple cup of chai in the afternoon. Very expensive for what it was and the location is a bit out of the way.
