We liked that the hotel provided us with shuttle to and from Highlands, which is much better skiing are than at Aspen Ajack. Restaurant in the hotel is top quality and chef is providing very diverse and excellent cousin - we really enjoyed dinners at the place.
First, about the hotel: when we booked it only very large rooms fitting 3 adults and two children were available and we booked it at significantly higher cost. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly, but they put us in a regular room instead. When we asked them next morning why we were put in a smaller room, the receptionist tried her best to convince us that this was exactly what we ordered telling us that bathroom sink table is actually a desk, that a single chair in the room is a sofa.... . It was very unpleasant conversation and we called for the manager. It was only I found on the W website picture of the room that we booked - it was not on Booking.com! which had very limited info - the manager agreed that we booked different and more expensive room and agreed to reduce price by ~ 20%....
Second, the so called "hot-tub" on the room of the hotel is barely warm and is very small. It is adjacent to the bar and as the result it is full of drinking people filling it as sardines - it was rather unless for us who needed a hot tub to relax our muscles

It was very close to the gondola and restaurants, shopping
Nothing. It was a great location. Booking.com should have been more forthcoming in letting me (the costumer) know that if I booked through them that I wouldn’t get any credit (points) the hotel. I won’t book with booking.com again. Deception.

They seemed disorganized at the front desk and at one point gave our room to another family.

Breakfast was good and location was great, but really too expensive
Pillows and sheets could have been better. Should be able to open windows without AC shutting off. Room service menu was too limited. And no ice cream or cake for dessert?

Beautiful property and amazing staff
10.0
The location was ideal, the views from the roof deck were incredible and food was great. The proximity to the supermarket was really convenient as was the shuttle service to and from the airport. But most of all, the service was amazing. Every member of the staff was courteous, helpful and upbeat. Many members of the staff remembered our names and our preferences after a first encounter. We had had a very tough travel experience getting to Aspen (no fault of the hotel) and the woman who checked us in arranged a welcome basket to make us feel better. The concierge had great recommendations and Diego (the customer experience manager) took pride in his ability to secure restaurant reservations anywhere in Aspen. We look forward to going back.
It is unfortunate that the roof deck pool is open to non guests. We saw a number of folks take advantage of the hotel’s open policy which made it tough to get a lounge chair at times and also overwhelmed the staff. We saw someone come in (not a hotel guest) announce to the two people manning the roof that he had forty people coming in for drinks and that he was “taking over” the roof. The staff couldn’t do anything about this because of the hotel’s policy. The staff did the best they could (and went out of their way to set aside chairs for us) but the policy needs to change.

Gorgeous property right off the slope. Close to restaurants and shops in town. Great location! Definitely would come back. Staff super friendly and helpful! Customer service oriented.

The property is clean and sleek. Minimalist, but well appointed.
USB chargers next to bed didnt work.
Overpriced - small room with no windows for 1200$ a night.
Staff was horrible and cold (except the valet guys).
Bartender was totally oblivious to several new customers -- seemed overloaded with 4 people on the pooldeck on a Wednesday.

The staff are exceptional across the board, especially Seth Pederson & Stephanie White, who went way over & above to make our stay special, and to accommodate some special birthday plans I had for my wife (custom flower arrangement, chocolate covered strawberries, a special bottle of her favorite wine, etc.). Shantal was also always willing to brew me fresh coffee early morning when I got up to work a bit before my family. The location is excellent within town, and the car service was so easy and convenient! We will definitely stay there again each time we are in town.
We had a first floor room, so the few windows were small and at the top of the one wall, with little view. It felt a little bit like being in a bunker, and a little claustrophobic.

W Aspen definitely lives up to the W name. It's pretty centrally located so walking to every bar and restaurant is a breeze. Check in is always a plus when Rose involved. The room was very comfortable and quite large and accommodating. The upstairs restaurant and bar were both open during the COVID ordeal and the Salmon dinner was fantastic. Overall, from check in to check out W is top notch.
There is no public parking so valet is a must.. and quite expensive.

I loved the updates and the complimentary snacks upon check in.
Valet parking was kind of pricey but other than that the hotel was great!
