Our family of 11 (ages 13-74) and my best friend had our best week ever in this gorgeous home!! We’ve been going to Ocean Isle for almost 40 years, and this was our best year ever! Rhonda was a great host…very easy to work with and quick to answer any questions. We tried to take advantage of as many of the amenities as possible. We LOVED the pool, seating around the pool and outdoor tv, the bathrooms for each bedroom, the large living areas, the decks, swing, fishing off the dock, the kayak, paddle boards, grill, mini-bars with fridges, outdoor table, and nice, large kitchen. I would stay in this house every year, but it’s already rented for the same week next year. We have to come that week because of the school schedule since three are teachers and two are students. 😖

We were all thrilled with 13 Pender St.! A wonderful house, very well-equipped, and a perfect place for our family. We were all very pleased. We love a bathroom for each bedroom, deck/porch off each bedroom, great pool with chairs/sofa around, grill, swing overlooking canal, fishing dock with sink, very nice utility room with sink, rode bicycles every day, fully stocked garage with corn hole, darts, bikes, paddle boards, kayak, fishing poles, rented a golf cart, so fun! A truly wonderful vacation, out to dinner, walked the pier, Sunday church service, fishing, Farmers Market mornings, visited Kindred Spirit mailbox, relaxed, played games, watched a couple movies, nice very large screen tv, plus tv in each bedroom, even one down at the pool. Great communication with owner. An A+ house/vacation!
2 recommendations: we should have brought a fly swatter, couldn't find one, for only a couple flies. More helpful, would have been a water hose for hosing down beach chairs, boogie boards, golf cart, etc. Seems to have 2 faucets, but could not locate a hose. One of the bedroom tv remotes was missing, which we reported. Not a big deal. The outdoor shower was fantastic, especially for our 3 guys over 6' 6". We did replace 2 lamp bulbs from the house supply, and purchased a few tv batteries. No problem. Thanks so much, Rhonda, for your staying in touch, always responding promptly and being most helpful and understanding. We want to come back, as funds permit. Best house ever!

Amazing location, responsive host

As well as being beautiful it was warm and welcoming. Everything you would ever need was there. Two large refrigerators plus two wet bar fridges kept our drinks cold and cut down on ice runs. The appliances all ran great, water pressure was great, and the beds were comfy. The main deck was in the morning sun and shaded upon return from the beach. The pool is half sun half shade which was great. Press “book” you won’t be sorry.

Beautiful Home/Great location!
House is beautiful and roomy, with 11 people in the house we never felt crowded. The canal was fun with the paddle boards supplied by the owner, The Dock was perfect for fishing, our grandchildren loved fishing and swimming in the canal. The pool was perfect for play time. We all enjoyed the pool. Short walk to the beach or we used the bicycles provided.
Kitchen was well equipped, and large enough for 4 cooks at the time. Having family time was great in this beautiful house. The deck was perfect for sunset talks So in total the house was a great for our family. plenty of beds and bathrooms.

Perfect place in OIB
Our family of 12 had a great time here this summer! The home is beautiful with top end furnishings and plenty of room for everyone. It is just a short walk to the beach or stay home and enjoy the pool. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, beds very comfortable, and a great outdoor space with a TV ! The dock was great for the kids to go fishing and we had our boat conveniently parked there as well. The owner was very accommodating and responsive. Looking forward to coming back again next summer!

Great House
The house and property are more beautiful than the pictures on website. It was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The extras such as kayak, SUP boards, beach chairs, bikes, and games were a major plus for my family. The pool water was really cold but the kids loved it. The owner responded immediately to all questions. I would definitely rent this house again.

Awesome large family accommodations
This house suited our large family perfectly! We enjoyed the open living space, large bedrooms, private baths, pool, and dock. Pool water was a little too chilly for the adults but the grandkids love it! House is furnished nicely and the kitchen is well equipped. And Rhonda (the owner) was very quick to respond to our questions and needs! We look forward to returning next summer!

Bottom line up front, we found this house to be even better than advertised. General: The house looks great in the online photos but is even better in person. The bunk room was fun. The master had a view facing the Intracoastal Waterway. The third upstairs bedroom was as nice as the others. Downstairs bedrooms were convenient. There was a main living room downstairs and one upstairs which we used for quiet things. The air conditioning worked great and there’s a gas fireplace. There are wet bars with a fridge in both the upstairs and downstairs living rooms. In this house, when the early risers get up, the layout is such that they don’t wake everyone else up. We walked to the beach every day with the beach buggy loaded with the beach chairs and boogie boards provided with the house.Kitchen: There was salt & pepper and other things in the cupboards, but I recommend bringing your own. There were no paper towels. You need to bring toilet paper as well. It’s a drip coffee maker with paper filters. We found that the refrigerator ice machine can’t keep up with a five-bedroom house, we kept bags of ice in the freezer. We used paper plates as much as we could, but there is a fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, waffle maker, etc. Laundry: There is a washer and dryer off of the upstairs living room that we found useful. Bring laundry detergent and dryer sheets.Decks: Great view from the deck off the master bedroom to watch the sunset. There is also a rear-facing deck off the second floor living room. There are front decks off the two upper and two lower level bedrooms also. We spent most of our time on the first-floor rear deck. It easily fit all of us and had a table with eight Adirondack type highchairs and two rocking chairs. Pool: I don’t know why, but there wasn’t a good pic of the pool online. We almost didn’t rent this house because the pics didn’t show a full view of the pool and we were concerned that it wouldn’t be up to our standards. As it turned out, the pool was small but big enough. Miscellaneous: Make sure you take the kayak and paddle boards out on the channel. So easy and so fun. We even jumped off the dock into the channel a few times. We used the gas grill often. The gas tank ran out while we were cooking, but there was a spare for us to swap out to.If you’re on the fence about this house, rent it. You will love it. We did.

Best house ever - Beach week 2020!
Our family of 16 - four generations this year- all agreed that this home was the best one ever. The owner was amazing! Well stocked kitchen (we cook every night); extra fridge and wet bars; two beautiful living areas; a pool for taking a break from the beach; easy beach access, kayak, paddle boards, lots of beach stuff provided by the owner; fishing and crabbing right out the back door. Our grandson even brought a small fishing boat and landed a nice fish. We really missed the Friday night concerts cancelled due to Covid, but we had our own line dancing party on the lawn . Plan to rent a golf cart, see the deer at dusk on the east end, walk the point at low tide. Take a beach walk at night - perhaps you will get to see the baby turtles hatching and making their way to the ocean. We did!

Perfect home for multi-generation family vacation!
Overall, the property is wonderful for all ages! Very well equipped kitchen. Each night a different group cooked so was nice to have such a great kitchen! Ideal spaces for group activities as well as great layout to take a break from group! Home had bikes for all ages, pool toys, beach equipment, kayaks and paddle boards! Between house, bike rides and beach we didn’t need to go anywhere else. Hope to return!
