Welcome to the Cape! Come experience a taste of Martha's Vineyard in Crystal Beach, TX. This beautiful home has it all! It's decorated and furnished in a classic New England style boasting beadboard ceilings and shiplap walls creating that vintage, eastern seaboard cottage feel; while still including hot tub, memory foam beds, Wi-Fi, indoor/outdoor stereo, 6 “smart” TVs with DVRs/DVDs and more. This home has fantastic views of the Gulf and majestic sunsets from two amazing decks and inside balcony.

Our standard cancelation policy is waived for any cancelations related to corona virus. A 100% refund will be given, so you may book with no risk. Prayers for all to stay safe and healthy.
Cape Escape is perfect for multiple family renting. It boasts 5 bedrooms or 4 bedrooms and two living areas. All beds are solid memory foam. Game room doubles as bedroom with closet and beds so kids can enjoy their favorite gaming system and TV shows on the large flat screen, and adults can have fun downstairs in the great kitchen/living/deck area. The Game room is also stocked with multiple board games and card games with fun for all. There is a card table and folding chairs in the closet.
Cape escape sits right behind the private subdivision walkover to the beach and has two masters down - each with a queen bed, its own flat screen, and Direct TV with DVD/DVRs. Each master also includes a private sink and toilet room with a shared, roomy walk-in shower with separate rain showerhead. The home also has 19' ceiling in the den with shiplap walls and windows all the way up.
Luxurious kitchen awaits with quartz countertops, custom beadboard cabinets, glass backsplash, island, stainless appliances and comes fully equipped with service for 24, two coffee pots (one is a Keurig), blender, pots and pans, wine glasses, etc. Kitchen also has second storable table with folding chairs for extra seating.
Living area has a “smart-capable” TV with surround sound, DirectTV, DVD/DVR, queen sleeper sofa and half bath. Upstairs has beautiful views of the gulf from the 2nd floor balcony inside and the deck outside. Two bedrooms and game room/bedroom up have bunks, a full bed, and a full futon, along with two roll-a-way beds. All three rooms upstairs have “smart-capable” TV’s with DirectTV, DVD/DVR. Upstairs bath has double sinks for more convenience.
Outside decks are huge and have plenty of quality solid wood furniture. The main deck boasts a large hot tub where you can relax and enjoy the great view. It also has an octagonal table, a pub table, and a pair of tall chairs. The upper deck has a double-chair with small table combo and a pub table and chairs. Main deck and downstairs are also equipped with outdoor stereo speakers. Downstairs bar area is illuminated with charming string lights and has electrical for your favorite summer drinks, bar stools, a sink, two private shower areas, a built-in picnic table, chairs, a swing, and portable fire pit.

• Golf Cart – Although the beach is just a short walk away, having a golf cart is very convenient and lots of fun. Cape Escape offers to guests an exclusive option to rent a 6-passenger gas golf cart. One small tank of gas lasts for days. A 5-gallon portable can is also provided for refueling. Contact owner directly about renting the golf cart.

• Cleaning fee of $200 (includes $25 exterior cleaning fee) covers standard cleaning and sanitizing services. Renter still required to pick up and leave the home generally as they found it.

• Cape Escape is a NON-SMOKING property. Smoking is only allowed on the ground level. All cigarette butts must be discarded in the trash. Any smoking in the home will result in the immediate termination of the reservation, loss of all deposit money, an additional $300 fine, plus any extra required cleaning fees necessary to return the home to proper condition.

SPECIAL EVENTS:
Proms, Homecomings, Weddings, Parties, Reunions etc. are allowed with the following requirements:
• Renter must sign a separate Event Agreement
• Pay an event fee: Wedding - $500, Prom - $300, Homecoming/Party/Other - $250 (covers extra ware and tare on the property). 3 night minimum stay for Weddings and Prom groups.
• Remit a fully refundable damage deposit of $250 in addition to the required accidental damage insurance.
• The Maximum number of guests allowed is 24 (extra payment required of $30/person/night for guests over the standard max number of 20). The home in on a septic system and violations of this policy can result in serious damage or require costly cleanup charges. Any costs associated with misuse or overloading of the septic system will be charged to the Primary Responsible Event Renter.
• Renter is responsible for providing all tables, chairs, and tents etc. required in support of the event beyond what Cape Escape normally provides. Renter is also responsible for removing any of said items after the event and restoring the property to the original condition and configuration.
• A maximum of 8 standard vehicles (no RVs) allowed to be parked on the property (in driveway only). Some cars may temporarily park along the Smiths Point road in front of the buy-out lots. Do not block any driveways or park in other properties.
• Pedestrians or golf carts only on path to the beach. All ATVs must be trailered to the beach per state law.
• Prom/Homecoming groups must have at least 2 chaperones that are at least 35 years old and be the parent of at least one of the other guests. Chaperones must be present at all times.
• Any violations of the Rental, Golf Cart, or Event Agreements may be grounds for immediate termination of the reservation.
WEATHER:
We do not offer travel insurance. We do however recommend that you purchase travel insurance separately in case of unforeseen circumstances or dangerous weather such has hurricanes or tropical storms that require voluntary or mandatory evacuation.

Overall an enjoyable time with family. Had an issue with AC in the upstairs the first 2 days. Called the manager. He had repairman out on Sunday to try to repair. Informed me the AC could not be repaired. A part had been ordered before our arrival and would not arrive until Monday. They repaired AC Monday afternoon. Our only other issue was the icemaker in the refrigerator did not make ice. Overall our stay was enjoyable and our manager was very courteous. Ann Earl

Our large family spent 10 days together at this home. We did not use the hot tub at all. We enjoyed games together, ocean activities, good food, movies and just visiting on the deck. The areas for games was limiting for us. Not enough room for my large jigsaw puzzle. The beds were very comfortable. So overall, it was a really great home to stay in. Our host, Robert, was great to work with. He immediately addressed our questions and concerns.

The house was perfect size for the group we had. We had a couple of things we addressed with the owner and he was very responsive to anything we needed. It is super close to the ocean which was nice for the kids, even though it was cold and windy. Sitting out on the deck with a cup of coffee watching the waves was so relaxing! Definitely one I would come back to.

We make an annual trip to Crystal Beach with 2 other families with small children. This house is super close to the beach and made it simple to shuffle back and forth with kids. In fact we felt closer than some of the houses that were technically beach front since the path is literally one house over.
The owners are super communicative and helpful! We loved the hot tub on the deck, as cloudy, rainy weather plagued our vacation. We’ll definitely be booking again!

Stayed at Cape Escape with 2 families. 4 adults and 6 children.
House was very clean with plenty of room for everyone. Very close to the beach…could walk…or take the golf cart (recommend the rental as it’s very fun).
Beach wasn’t busy with vehicle traffic- I was initially concerned about that with the young children.
Overall excellent communication with owners. House has everything you need.

Well situated close to the beach with beautiful sunrise and sunset views! Interior of house is beautiful and very comfortable! Also the kitchen had everything needed for creating meals (usually rentals are lacking pots/pans, dishes etc). Really enjoyed our stay! Will consider again for a large gathering! The property is awesome, the location so a short walk to the beach. I loved that I could walk out and see the sunrise over the water. My family had a great time here. Plenty of space and great amenities. We would come back again.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at this property. We were with 6 other adults in our family and it easily fit all of us with a lot of room to spare. The kitchen was spacious and there was seating for everyone both inside and out. The views from the balconies were excellent and you could hear the waves crashing while drinking a cup of coffee in the morning. Communication with Robert was quick and helpful. We would definitely return to this home, and could even bring more people to enjoy it with.

Communication with Robert was excellent. We had an issue with the golf cart and Robert worked hard in getting it solved. The place worked well for 15 of us and had everything that we needed to have a great vacation. Beach access was very convenient and location was in an area that is not as crowded as other parts of the beach.

Hard to Beat
our stay at Cape Escape was wonderful. The owners are easy to contact, very attentive. The location is great, we could see the kids locate our party on the beach from the pass thru and wave back to the ones still on the deck. The eleven of us fit just fine and could find a spot for quiet time when needed. The golf cart was a nice feature, it made for a good beach experience. We are currently thinking about re renting.

This property is great for multiple families. We had 4 families and a group of single young adults. It was perfect for the 16 of us. Lots is space and the location is perfect. Being able to rent the golf cart made all the difference! We will be renting it again!

The location and view was wonderful. Close enough to the beach to see and hear the ocean, but far enough away to not be bothered by the people using the beach. Close enough to walk back and forth, so we spent a lot of time playing on the beach. The house was lovely and very clean. Appreciated the abundance of fluffy bath towels and plenty of hot water in the shower! Can't wait to go back again.
