We rent Friday to Friday! Get on and off the Island and avoid the Saturday arrival and departure stress.
Owners have added a 'family touch' to a wonderfully located beach home on the exclusive 'West End' of the Island. Panoramic ocean views from each of the 3 decks. Five Ocean view suites, Two 3rd floor master suites with custom 2 wall shower spas. Perfect 'get away' no matter the time of the year. Great golf and tourist attractions close by! Membership to the Isles Resort allows you to have access to an ocean front pool, hot tub, tennis courts, and Tiki Hut bar. Home has direct access to the beach only 50ft. away! Wireless Internet allows access to the job, if necessary. Garage, covered parking and an outside shower are nice extras to have down by the pool area. Also, 3 stop ELEVATOR service. Nice kitchen with extra ice maker, stainless steel appliances, and granite counter tops. 14x32 pool installed in 2013.
Owners have also decided to rent Friday to Friday for peak summer season. This allows for the avoidance of the heavy traffic arriving and leaving the Island as the majority of the rentals are Sat. to Sat. You also get a full weekend on arrival and elevates the possibility to get in earlier on arrival day. House cleaners are not nearly as busy on Fridays.

We were all very pleased with the overall condition of the property. We were impressed with the cleanliness and spaciousness when we arrived. The check-in process was convenient and the hosts reached out to make sure everything was in good shape upon arrival. Overall it was a spectacular stay.

This is a beautiful property! There were 19 of us and room for all of us! Very comfortable and any questions or problems (minimal) we had, were taken care of in a timely manner. Owners are wonderful!!

Our family enjoyed staying at this wonderful house. The size was perfect for the 8 adults and 10 children. We all enjoyed the pool, close access to the beach, and the extras: beach chairs, toys, a wagon,etc. Owners were always available to contact and gave quick support for any questions.

Carolina Dreaming was everything we had hoped. We planned a mini family reunion the weekend after Thanksgiving for out of town family and this house was perfect! It was clean, well equipped, and the owners were great to work with. It was a little cold for the pool and the beach, but we had plenty of room to hang out, play games, and just visit with each other. We highly recommend Carolina Dreaming!

California Dreamin' was a fabulous home for our 14 member family. It exceeded our expectations in cleanliness, decor and many extras. The kitchen had everything we needed , and the multiple refrigerators were great. The pool was the largest we've had at a rental house with plenty of seating and a very nice bar. The location was close for an easy walk to the beach and the garage was fully stocked with plenty of pool and beach chairs and toys. the two ice machines were great, the elevator never failed, the master bathrooms had great showers and make up mirrors! We usually like trying new places but this one had everything we needed and more and we plan to book it again in the future. Hosts were very kind and attentive.

The home was clean, spacious, well stocked, and well maintained. The owners responded quickly to any questions we had. We loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the amazing view of the ocean. We would definitely stay again!

My sister's family and mine were able to vacation together under one roof. The house was in excellent condition and nicely held our 20 people from 2-74 years of age. The location was convenient to the beach and the pool served the children well. The elevator makes the house accessible to those with mobility issues. This is a good choice for larger groups.

My apologies for being late with this review of our family's stay last summer. Simply put, our experience here was wonderful. The property was in great shape, very clean, and the pictures online if anything did not do it justice. I cannot recommend this house and these hosts highly enough. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. My only regret is that I failed to re-book early enough for this coming August, and the potential extended weekends for our family trip were already full.

Great Extended Family Getaway
We loved having quick beach access and the pool with outdoor kitchen/bar area. We had 12 adults and 7 small children and there was plenty of room.

An amazing experience
We visited OIB in June of 2022, family of 19...4 siblings and their children, plus grandma. The house was a perfect fit for us, with 4 master suites and 4 rooms with double beds. It was large enough that we could spread out and have our own space, yet gather together in the living room, kitchen, deck or pool bar. The pool bar was a HIT and was used daily! The pool was perfect and the beach was just a few steps away. We loved the ice makers in the kitchen and pool bar...a huge plus! To be perfectly honest, I ranked the accuracy of the online listing a 4 only because it doesn't give this place a full description of how wonderful it was. The only thing I would suggest adding is that linens (bedding, towels, etc.) need to be ordered and not supplied by the house in the description. This caught us a bit off guard, but Heavenly Scent had them delivered and ready for us when we arrived. The hosts were extremely patient with us, checked in upon arrival and the day we left to ensure all was good. They were very responsive during the entire process! We will be recommending this house to others and would go back in a heartbeat! Thanks for a GREAT vacation!

Perfect in every way!
The kitchen was so well stocked. Loved the view across to the ocean. The bedrooms and baths were large and spotless. The pool area was our go-to spot (13 of us!) we loved the way the decks made extra gathering room - especially for our family dinner. Thank you for everything!

Beautiful house!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us! We had such a great time. Ocean Isle Beach is a wonderful little community with things to do for all ages. We loved being so close to the beach, but enjoyed using the pool every day. The house was a perfect fit for our extended family and provided a lot of room so as not to feel cramped. We really enjoyed our stay at Carolina Dreaming
My family & I rented this property during Memorial Day week & had an awesome time. In years past we rented 6 bedroom houses but after adding 2 family members this past year we had to upgrade to 7 bedrooms. This house was beautiful & had a lot of nice features & accommodated all 18 of us very well. The location is very good too with beach access almost right across the street.
Also, the communication with the owner Billie was excellent. Anytime I had a question she would respond promptly.
We would definitely rent this house again.

Perfect beach vacation house!
A group of college friends and I - ten adults total - rented this house for a wonderful weekend. Everything was in working order, the location could not have been better, and the owners were a pleasure to deal with. Absolutely recommended!

Outstanding Experience
Our family of 40 visited OIB for a reunion this past week, and several family units shared 274 West 1st Street. Our experience was outstanding from our initial contact with the owners, who were informative, prompt, honest and welcoming. The entire process leading up to our stay was quick and easy, with good communication and quick responses from the owners on questions and concerns.
The property itself is beautiful. All descriptions and pictures presented here on VRBO proved accurate. Our favorite features of the property were:
1) the decks, which all afforded views of the ocean directly across the street. We sat in the rocking chairs all week, drinking coffee and watching the pelicans in the morning and enjoying the ocean breezes and sound of the waves under moonlight in the evenings.
2) The pool, which was in almost constant use from the time we arrived. It was a welcome break from the warm sand and salt water, and provided those less beach-inclined in the group a place to lay out and enjoy the sun.
3) The large capacity under-counter ice-maker, which saved our thirsty group from having to run out for bags of ice all week.
4) Proximity to the beach. The public access point was literally 150 feet down the street. Unless you are going to get a 1st row place....you can't really beat that.
The only issues we had all week had to do with the technology of the house. The television being hooked up to a audio receiver proved a difficult test for the techies in our group, and we struggled figuring out the exact system for proper use all week (NOT THAT YOU SHOULD BE WATCHING TV AT THE BEACH ANYWAY). Also, there are outdoor speakers on the main floor deck, but we couldn't seem to get them to work in balance with the indoor speakers. In order to get any music outside you could hear, the volume had to be turned up to a point where the indoor speakers were intolerably loud. *DISCLAIMER* the owners worked with us all week to get the technology working, and even had a local cable rep sent out to the house when we had trouble with the wi-fi. The level of customer service they provided cannot be understated.
Many in our group stated upon departure that this was their favorite beach vacation ever, and a major reason why was 274 west 1st street and its outstanding owners. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic Vacation
This was our second year in this house for our annual Memorial Day trip. We had 6 couples and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen and den area have a fantastic view of the ocean and we spent a lot of the weekend hanging out on the large porch. The beach access is right across the street so it was very easy to come back to the house to grab lunch. The house is laid out perfectly for large groups. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. Both master bedrooms on the top floor have really nice tile showers. This house would be great for families as well. The kitchen has fantastic brand new appliances and even a separate ice maker (which is very helpful when taking coolers on the beach). Also the house has plenty of everything - pots, pans, silverwear, plates, cups, etc. Even 2 blenders and a crock-pot. Everything was immaculate when we arrived. The elevator was great for getting luggage and groceries up and down. The owners have been so nice to work with. They always responded to emails very quickly and even called us after we checked in to make sure everything was ok. We love Ocean Isle and have been going for many years. This is one of the nicest houses on the island and allowed us to have such a relaxing vacation! We hope to be able to come back again next year!

Wonderful Experience
We had a" ladies only" weekend & all 11 of us were blown away by the wonderful accommodations. Everything was even better than we had pictured it to be. The best experience,however, was the owners who went out of their way to work with us. We would definitely go back there again!
