We stayed in Big Sky for three nights. We loved Geyser Whitewater Rafting, a free concert, and traveling back and forth to Yellowstone. We would stay there again!

Nice place.
Very nice place as advertised. Property management was a bit slow to replace a light switch in master bath ( reported it Wednesday on arrival and repaired Saturday) Also place was empty at 3pm on arrival and we had to wait outside for one hour to exactly 4pm to get in ?????

Perfect cabin get away in the mountains.
We truly enjoyed our experience at this cabin. The hot tub was so clean and a wonderful feature to enjoy after traveling to Yellowstone for the day. Check in and check out was very easy and again, overall a wonderful stay.

Good Memories
Very comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace (even in the summer) and the view of Lone Peak from the porch. The kitchen was well-enough stocked that we cooked a number of meals. We also liked that it was close to the Resort. Our only "surprise" was that the cabin next door is much closer than it appeared in the picture. It was okay, though, since there were no neighbors in it during our stay.

Great Montana Ski Cabin
Great choice for a family of 5 - ample space, good location and comfortable.
Tough skate to the lifts, but doable.
Aging appliances but everything worked.
Big Sky struggles with Holiday demand so it was good to have our own kitchen- restaurants were not really a choice.

Summer vacation
We enjoyed staying in moose lodge. We had been in hotel for a couple night while traveling so getting to the lodge was nice. It was spacious for our family of 5 and enjoyed the out door space and even used the grill and hot tub one evening!

We Love Big Sky!
My family had a wonderful time skiing at Big Sky, and loved the accommodations. This was our first time staying at a remote property, and we thoroughly enjoyed Power Ridge. The cabin was a good size for 5 adults, and it was very well appointed. The fire place was awesome, the hot tub was a hit and the beds were very comfortable after a long day of skiing. The ski-out was fine using the White Otter lift; however, the ski-in was a little dicey for a few of our skiers, given there was no new snow and the hill was skied off. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Fun Times at Big Sky
We really liked this cabin and it's accessibility to the ski hill and the lifts. This is a ski in ski out cabin and only requires a very short walk up a small hill to access the base of White Otter Lift. Make sure to catch the cat track on the right hand side of White Wing run to get to the main Chairlift (Swift). The cabin was probably a bit small for 6 adults, in particular the kitchen, but this only added to the coziness. We loved the fireplace, the hot tub, and the large kitchen table. We have stayed in several VRBO properties over the years and Cabin 7 was stocked the best by far. There were quite a few basic staples, laundry soap, great serving dishes and utensils, crock pot etc. Loved the views of the mountains from this cabin. It was a fantastic week and our family had a great time.

Great experience, great cabin!!!
This was our first trip to Big Sky and it was absolutely wonderful! The cabin was exceptional - quaint, easily accommodated our party of four, the fireplace was awesome and we were thrilled that there was plenty of firewood. We especially appreciated that the hot tub was emptied and cleaned prior to our arrival - a nice little touch! The ski in/ski out access was fantastic, and although it required a small amount of skating to get to the chair, I'll take this kind of access any day. Future renters should make sure they're OK with skating a small distance as well as handling a fairly steep drop to return to the cabin. The property management folks were very professional, kept us informed as the trip approached and came over to check on us during our first night. The living room TV was excellent - nice HD! Things that could be improved on - cut up some of the firewood into smaller pieces so that it'll be easier to get a fire started, install weather seal/strip around the door coming into the kitchen (there was a strong draft), and make sure the bottom bed in the bunkbed room is fixed (it moved every time another person on the bed moved). But overall, it was an excellent cabin and experience and we'll be back next year.

Great House, Good Location
We liked the house.
We found it convenient that it contained many of the basics - coffee/coffee filters, paper towels, soap for the washer - the little stuff we often don't think of when traveling so it felt more like home.
The decor was mountain like and fun with a true log cabin feel. The overall quality was good. Kristin and her team were very easy to work with and available whenever we needed them.
The ski in/ski out status s a bit marginal for all the homes in the Powder Ridge area (not just this one). In order to ski out, you have to hike probably 50 yards, then ride a real estate lift and ski to the base which can involve another 50-100 yards of poling, takes about 20 minutes to reach the base. Sking in is a bit easier but has to be done by going to the , especially if there is fresh snow - you may have to pole maybe 50 yards or so depending on the snow condition. Still, it beat driving, parking, and lugging around ski gear BUT not like skiing out the back of the hotel either.
Overall, I would consider staying there again as our family appreciates a house or condo over being cramped in a hotel room any day!

Wonderful Vacation!
We absolutely loved our time spent in Big Sky at Powder Ridge! The cabin was well-stocked and we spent every night sitting around the fire (the fact that firewood was included was fantastic). We put the grill to good use and found everything we needed in the kitchen. We were also impressed with the board games and coloring available for the little kids.
The property was extremely clean and is very well managed (when there was a minor problem with the television it was fixed within an hour!). The ski-out was too much of a challenge for our youngest skiers (age 4 and 6) but wasn't a problem for the more experienced skiers. Checking in and out was a breeze. We would highly recommend the cabin and look forward to staying there again.

First Time at Big Sky and we are coming back
My wife and I travel quite a bit, Hawaii, Cabo were the big trips this year, Disney over Christmas, so we have a pretty good idea of what we like and don't like, and since we had 800 miles to talk about big sky we did. And we kept talking about how well it worked, but it was centered around the lodging. It was nice and just the little things like the caramels were nice touches from Big Sky Rentals.
The key to the trip was the lodging. It was fabulous. The location is just minutes from Base Camp for skiing, the view was great. This list can go on and and on. The one thing I would recommend is take advantage of Kirsten's knowledge of the area and other services that Big Sky (The community) has to offer. We stayed close to the cabin for meals as I didn't want to drive at night. But local transportation was available. Kirsten mentioned, but I never followed up.
I found out about Powder Ridge by word of mouth and I will spread the good word.

Property #104703
This was our first visit to Big Sky and we loved it. It’s always a little scary booking a property “site unseen” but this property was exactly as it was described. Our cabin was clean and well maintained and had all the amenities we needed or wanted. The pictures on the website were exactly how the place looked. We stayed here in mid September 2011 so the ski season had not yet begun. The area was nice & quiet. We used Big Sky as our base as we traveled each day to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Management was very helpful in answering questions we had about our travel plans. There’s also a binder in the cabin loaded with helpful information concerning restaurants and things to do in Big Sky and the surrounding area. Great place!

Awesome!
The property is even better in person than the photos show! Was very comfortable for 2 families. Our family consisted of 2 children and 3 adults and we had plenty of room! This property is also in a great location. Kirsten was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the area and the ski mountain. Thanks Kirsten and staff!! Would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

Everything was perfect. Powder Ridge is absolutely charming, very rustic, ski-in/ski-out and close walk to Big Ski Resort/Huntley Lodge. Kirsten and Chris were wonderful, no delays, they always answer their cell phones!!

Powder Ridge #7
Awesome.
We had an awesome vacation. We're a hard charging family of four.
Ski in/ski out, the accomidations were perfect. Big Sky was great and the people are super.
We drove to West Yellowstone and rented snowmobiles and a guide.
It was a fantastic back country adventure that we all recommend...Big Fun!
We rented our ski stuff from East Slope. Dave's a Hodag and he took very good care of us.
Not a glitch, not a problem...just a perfect winter get-a-way. We'll be back!
Best advise: stock up on food and beverages at Albetson's in Bozeman before you make your way to Big Sky.
Have Fun!
