Situated just 1 property from the calm water and sand of Mission Bay, this house offers an open floor plan, bay views, a fireplace, and a view deck with outdoor seating and firetable. The highly desirable North Mission Beach location provides easy access to the ocean, bay, freeways, and a wide variety of shops and restaurants all within a short walk.
Located in North Mission Beach, our home is surrounded by water, with the bay one property east, and the ocean one block west.
This home is not your typical rental with bare walls and stiff sheets; it welcomes its visitors with all the luxuries and amenities of vacationing within their own home. The home includes three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There a flat screen smart television with Netflix subscription. Within the main dinning areas there is enough seating for 8 people. There is sleeping for 12 people comfortably in the three bedrooms plus a sleeper sofa in the living room and a day bed with trundle (two twin beds) also in the living room.

North Mission Bay offers a beautiful white sand beach ideal for families with young children. The Mission Bay Aquatic Center is 100 yards away, and has a playground, large grassy area, basketball court, and rentals (paddleboards, kayaks, jetskis, sailboats, water skiing, etc)
On the ocean side, Mission Beach offers aspiring surfers and boogie boarders with a good beach break under the watchful eyes of the lifeguards at the Mission Beach Lifeguard station. Beach-side and Bay-side walk ways offer miles of jogging, biking, walking, or skating pleasure.
Parking at the beach is a rarity and this home comes with a 2 parking spaces (uncovered tandem spot).
We are right next to the famous Catamaran Hotel. They have a wonderful spa and a great restaurant for brunch.
This location has the perfect mixture of liveliness of nearby Pacific Beach and the quiet escape of the beautiful Mission Bay. How does check-in work? Is a key exchange necessary?
The front door is coded, a key exchange is not necessary. You can check-in anytime after 3pm.
Do you allow early check-in or late check-out?
We usually will have another group coming or going so we are not able to accommodate an early check-in or a late check-out. You are welcome to swing by early and drop off your bags, but you will not be able to get settled in until the cleaning crew is finished at 3pm. We will usually have an area you can leave bags for a while after checking out as well. Pease contact us for more details
Is smoking allowed on the property?
Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property, including patios, carports, garages, and garden areas. If smoking occurs on the property, the security deposit will be forfeited. Smoking is also not allowed on the boardwalks or beaches and ticketing is a common occurrence.
Are pets or service animals allowed?
Unfortunately due to our liability insurance coverage and guests’ allergies, we must prohibit any animals on the property. If a guest arrives with an animal or brings an animal to the property anytime during their stay they will be evicted and the security deposit will be forfeited. We will then attempt to re-rent the unit and the guest will have the portion of rent returned that was filled by the new reservation. If we are unable to re-rent the property, no rent will be returned.
Are events or parties allowed?
No, we do not allow events or parties of any kind. If a party or event is held on the property, the security deposit will be forfeited and the guests will be evicted.
Do you have a hair dryer?
We do not provide a hair dryer.
What kitchen supplies are provided?
We provide basic cooking supplies, dishware, and utensils. We do not provide any ingredients or perishables. We provide a basic coffee maker and toaster. Guests might leave behind some items like seasonings or cooking oil, but we do not stock these items. We do not provide a blender.
Are plenty of towels and linens provided?
Yes, we provide all of the towels, sheets, comforters, and beach towels you will need.
What bathroom supplies are provided?
We provide toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Where can we park extra cars?
Street parking can become tricky in the summer so always read the signs posted as street sweeping takes place almost every weekday (except Wednesdays) and some areas are limited to 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 2 hours. Ticketing cars is a frequent occurrence here at the beach so be aware.
How close is the beach?
Mission Beach is a skinny peninsula; both the Bayside and Oceanside have sandy beaches and a lively boardwalk. We are one property away from the bayfront and about 100 yards away from the oceanfront. The bay is calmer with warmer water. The ocean is livelier and has great waves.
Do you provide beach cruisers?
We do not, but there are several bike rental places within walking distance.
Is the noise policy strict?
Yes, we require guests to respect our neigborhood and we enforce appropriate noise levels throughout the day and strict quiet hours after 10pm. If you are bothered by any noise violations while staying with us, do not hesitate to call; we can help by contacting other guests or owners of other properties to notify them that a nuisance is being caused. If a noise disturbance is reported by a neighbor or police are called and a violation is issued, the guest security deposit will be forfeited.

Property was exactly as it looks in pictures. The walk to bay or beach is very close and felt safe. We rented surfboards and bikes at reasonable prices and coffee and food was easy. We had 12 family members which was a little tight but everyone had a comfortable bed and great vacation!

The location of the house is great. It’s very close walking distance to everything. Communication with the owner was very easy and they were very kind.
The negative about this home are it is older which means carpet is stained and feels and looks dirty. Also because it’s an older home baseboards, walls, bed frames, dishwasher, and bathrooms have old dirt and feel not clean. The cleaning crew was responsive and came and cleaned a few things that hadn’t been done when we got there like yogurt splattered on a wall. I had to wash some bedding that had been forgotten about. Also our kitchen significantly lacked what we needed to cook a meal. When you have 12 people staying in a home larger items are a necessity. There were no big pots for cooking noodles so we had to rotate through two small pots. There were no baking sheets to use with the oven. We rolled with it and made it work but it was frustrating to not have what should be standard.
All in all we made do and enjoyed our 6 days there. I would definitely go to that area/location again but I probably wouldn’t rent out that place again unless certain things that I mentioned were fixed, changed, and updated.

This property was in a fantastic spot for everything we needed and wanted. Beach and Bay close by, grocery store and plenty of restaurants. The hosts are fabulous communicators and quick to respond.

We had 5 adults and 5 kiddos ranging from infant-11 years and it was perfect. Close to everything, all the amenities you need to play at the beach or enjoy your time in. I highly recommend it!

This stay was the best of both worlds...steps to the Bay and a 2 min walk to the Ocean! The house is a tri-level, with each level renting independently of eachother. We stayed on the top floor "Penthouse" with a beautiful view of the Bay (night time view was amazing, with lights shining off the boats and paddlewheel ferry..and fireworks from SeaWorld!
There were 12 of us, and the space was perfect..it worked very nicely. Clever parking assignments, as each rental is provided with private parking! Our unit's parking fit 2 vans... very impressive considering parking can be challenging in this area.
We bbq'd steaks on the patio and after we put the kids to bed, enjoyed cocktails & coffee nightly over the gorgeous glass firepit!
Plenty of fresh towels, beach towels, and linens are provided, as well as a fully equipped kitchen.
Theres a shared laundry room available downstairs with laundry soap and fabric softener provided! Each rental also has thier own storage box full of kids beach toys/ beach chairs/ boogie boards...this rental has it all!
The house is nestled in a beautiful quiet neighborhood (was common to see the lovely neighbor couple enjoying thier meal outside on the front patio serenaded softly by thier favorite music..sigh)..with coffe shops and restaurants a skip away!
The owners, Andrew & Stacey, were always available to me leading up to and during our stay. I reached out a few times before our stay with questions, and Andrew quickly responded. Booking & check-in was easy breezy!

We stayed here for 9 nights in April 2019. The property is well located - one block to the peaceful Mission Bay and a short walk to the Pacific side. Close to many good restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you decide you don't want to cook in the well stocked kitchen. Also, it was an easy drive to all of the San Diego attractions. We found the property very comfortable for the four of us - one couple, a friend and a toddler.

We had a fun and relaxing girls' weekend at Andrew and Stacey's top floor condo. The kitchen is spacious and we appreciated the two bathrooms (one in each bedroom, but one has a door that can be accessed through the living room). We used the fire pit on the patio each night and when the propane was out, Andrew texted back immediately to tell us where to find the fresh tank. From the patio are lovely views of sailboats on the bay on one side and peek-a-boo views of the beach on the other. The location is central between Mission and Pacific Beaches, so once we parked, we didn't have to use our car much.
We didn't use the living room much, but if we had wanted to, it would have been difficult at night because there's no lighting besides the dining room and over the fireplace, so BYO reading light.
Our hosts were helpful and responsive, which we appreciated. The place is charming, but a little run-down, especially the bathrooms (girls told me the shower door was off its tracks, but I didn't check), but we are not a picky group. We were just happy to have a centrally located, clean and safe place to stay with enough room for all of us, and that's exactly what we got.
