Situated within the heart of Kolonaki, the most exclusive residential quarter of Athens, this comfortable 86 m2 apartment, is perfect for a long or short stay in Athens. The location is very convenient as it is close to the metro and also a short walking distance to many attractions. Although the apartment is in the centre of Athens, it is very quiet. The kitchen is more that well equipped for preparing food, alternatively there are plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes around.
The apartment:
This renovated 50's apartment comprises of a cozy living room with hand made pillows, a vibrant fully equiped modern kitchen in red and black, a comfortable dining-room , a turquoise small-tile bathroom, two relaxing bedrooms: a dark pink vintage one with an antique double bed and a turquoise one with a modern fresh feel. An oasis of plants in the balcony offers a hug in the end of the day.
Kolonaki
It is the most chic neighbourhood of Athens, one of the liveliest and safest, sheltering wealthy Greeks and foreign Embassies. Glamorous socialites frequent the fashionable cafes, bars, trendy restaurants, ouzeries, tavernas, chic boutiques, art galleries and designer stores. Small parks, pedestrian streets and the pine-covered slopes of Lycabettus Hill also make Kolonaki a lovely area to experience on foot at any hour of the day or night.
In the neighbourhood:
Supermarkets, dry cleaning, bakeries, butcher shops, pharmacies, banks are just a stroll from the apartment. Every Friday, the Farmer's market down Xenokratous street is full of local produce.
Just across the Square, an Open air Cinema and a very nice café are well worth a visit.

I cannot say enough about how amazing this place was. If we ever make back here this is the place to stay. Great location, reasonable price, beautifully decorated, provided all the amenities you could imagine and super host Sofia. Thank you! The Foerster family

The apartment was wonderful full of personal touches and beautiful artwork. Sofia could not have been more hospitable and helpful - very easy check in and she even had hand made desserts to welcome us. The apartment is in the absolute best area of Athens and was quiet and comfortable. I highly recommend this apartment!

This is a beautiful property. Very comfortable and fully equipped apartment. There is a lovely balcony to have your breakfast each morning. The location is excellent. There is a lovely place to eat in the evening - literally moments from your door step. We went there each night to have a light dinner and soak up the atmosphere. The property is close to the sites- 30 mins walk to the acropolis and 15 mins walk to lots of museums. However the property is an upward walk from the centre so may need to use a taxi on the way back if walking and heat is a problem. Sofia, the property owner, made us feel very welcomed. They gave us a tour of the property and help us to familiarise ourselves with the property. I would strongly recommend booking this property when in Athens.

The apartment is exactly as advertised.
It is clean, comfortable and well-equipped.
Thank you so much for your welcome, Sofia, and also for your flexibility with check-out on our departure day. We have really appreciated that!
The apartment location is ideal for visiting Athens.
Literally every major sight is easy walking distance, alternatively, 2 metro stations can be reached in 10-15 minutes.
There are dozens of restaurants in the area, we would like to point one that is just around the corner, simple outside dining bistro style, the food and service are great. Be patient waiting for a table, the place is very crowded and appreciated by locals; it is worth the wait. Look for Dexameni restaurant.
We have liked the apartment itself, the bedrooms are spacious which is a real plus.
You may get some street noise in the living-room and on the balcony but both bedrooms face the interior of building and are very quiet.
All equipment was very clean and working fine!
To summarize: this apartment has everything a short term rental needs for a successful weekend abroad and we recommend it highly.

The stay was all good; it was in a good location, clean, described accurately, communication with Sophia was great, etc. She has quirky-but-good decor, including some of her mother's drawings, other people's ceramics, and her own paintings. Also, thanks so much for the sweet bread!

All in all as advertised. Clean, pleasant, functional apartment and in good neighborhood. Would recommend. Bit of a walk to metros, but not bad. Good dining options. Five stars all around.

I enjoyed my stay here and Sofia was a wonderful host. I was particularly impressed with all the kitchen utensils and other amenities--didn't need anything else! Kolonaki is a great neighborhood. This apartment is on a little hill so be prepared to do a little hike from the nearest metro which is about 15 minutes away. Lovely Stay.

What a wonderful place to stay! From start to finish, Sofia was an excellent host. The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos, and no need is overlooked. We found many little extras around the apartment, like a sewing kit, band-aids, and pantry items. Sofia put a lot of thought and love into this quiet haven tucked into a leafy neighborhood. Everything was spotless and in perfect condition. The air conditioning and wifi are both top-notch. The only thing I can say that may be an issue for anyone with a scent allergy or aversion is the cleaning products used were scented and lingered for a while. I did not mind the scent, but others may, sp request unscented cleaning products between guests if that is a concern. Do not hesitate to stay at Sofia's place!

The property was clean, well-managed, and in a neighborhood with a variety restaurants and shops. Sofia, the property manager, was great. She kept in contact prior to and during our stay, provided a lot information about the area, and made us feel right at home. Our group included myself, my wife, our two daughters, and a family friend. We all enjoyed the trip and felt the property was one of the main reasons for our joy - it had everything we could need in an apartment. We highly recommend this listing. Thank you again, Sofia!!

My husband and I stayed here and we are of the opinion that Sofia's home is better than anywhere else in the city! We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see, it was clean and well-kept, and the owners were fantastic! They met us personally at check-in and Sofia baked us a cake to welcome us and gave us recommendations of things to do in the area. The home was in a safe neighborhood, it was spacious and everything we needed (or could have wanted) was provided.

My husband and I stayed twice at this lovely and comfortable apartment located in a great neighborhood of Athens. Both times, our expectations were fully met. The place is equipped with all the amenities required for a calm, enjoyable, and quiet stay. It is also near many sites and walking distance from the Parthenon and museums. The owner has been very good to us. We feel lucky to have stayed in her apartment.

We were delighted with the apartment, which is very beautiful and done with taste. All creature comforts were provided, and the owner was very solicitous of us and very kind. The area is great and walking distance from many sites. We felt at home and we recommend it to other travelers.

This lovely spot felt like home with an away bonus. It was so easy to orient to the place. Fabulous recommendations for food, sight seeing and small trips. The neighbourhood is fun to walk & shop.
The communication was so easy and Sofia was always willing to help and had wonderful suggestions. Would love to have stayed longer.

Enjoyed the apartment and the treatment when we arrived. We had an information booklet to lean on, and it was easy to find out how to manage practical missions. We will really recommend this apartment since it was close to the center and not to forget the
nice restaurants in the
surrounding. Best regards Eva and Per

My husband, son and I enjoyed our stay at this apartment. Sofia was a wonderful host; she was accessible, provided a very detailed booklet regarding the house, the surrounding area and top tourist sites. She met us upon arrival, walked through everything and answered all our questions.
The apartment was well equipped , very clean, and as described with Sofia adding a few extras such as fresh baked bread and fruit that were very much appreciated and helpful.
The location is in a very nice and safe part of Athens. Shops and restaurants are within a few minutes walk as well as several museums and tourist sites. We took a cab coming back from some of the more distant sites at a very reasonable rate. The apartment is located on a hill which might be a consideration for some.
We would love to stay here again at some point in the future.

My husband and I absolutely loved our 3 night stay in Sofia's apartment. Everything from the contact with her when we made the initial booking, to the check in process ran perfectly. Sofia, showed as round the apartment and gave us info re the local neighbourhood and advised on places to visit. This is one of the best equipped apartments we have stayed in during our travels in Europe and has clearly been looked after with lots of love and was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed breakfast and early evening drinks on the balcony. The homemade chocolate brownie cake was an unexpected but much appreciated bonus.
We decided to take a taxi from Athens airport (fixed price 38 euros)
Everything was in easy walking distance for us. We like to walk so didn't experience using the Metro so can't comment on that, though there is a stop close by in Syntagma Square. It was about a mile to the Acropolis and just over a mile in the other direction to the National Archeological Museum. Only a short walk away was the foot of Lycabettus Hill which we walked up on our first evening, from where we enjoyed the sunset and had our first view of the Acropolis - simply breathtaking.
We ate one evening in a typically Greek taverna, recommended by Sofia just a short walk from the apartment. This was our best meal in Athens. There are an abundance of bars and restaurants close by so we weren't short of choice of places to eat and drink. The area reminded us of The Palermo district of Buenos Airies. I wish we had decided to stay longer as we both fell in love with Athens and in particular Sofia's apartment and the Kolonaki area. I am sure we will return and in the meantime will be recommending the apartment to our family and friends.

Sofia was great and provided everything we needed to know about the area and how to get around.
The apartment was in a great part of town, very safe and very nice. Located around the corner from a hotel with a rooftop view lounge with amazing views of the Acropolis and the city.
Our expectations were exceeded with our stay in Sofia's apartment. Everything was as described and pictured. Very comfortable for our large group. Would definitely stay here again if/when I return to Athens.

We just returned from a 10 day visit to Athens and could not have picked a better place to stay! Not only is the apartment very spacious and beautifully decorated, but Sofia's attention to detail was just exceptional! We were warmly greeted by she and her husband, Demetrios, and provided with all instructions as well as fresh fruit and a freshly baked brownie dessert that we enjoyed for several days! We also appreciated the detailed instruction booklet provided, that covered everything from operating appliances to local attractions and restaurants, as well as a Metro map, and Taxi contacts. Sofia checked in with us via email throughout the week, to see if we needed anything and ensure we were enjoying our visit.
Kolonaki is a beautiful, upscale neighborhood, close enough to walk to all major attractions, but allows you to immerse yourself in the local culture away from the more touristy areas. As other reviews mentioned, the area is on a hill, meaning several blocks downhill to the major sites, and uphill on your way home, but well worth it! If you're too tired some nights as we were, it was only a 5 Euro taxi ride from the Acropolis area. We have stayed in many apartments in our travels, and this one was by far, the best experience yet! We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Athens!
Thank you Sofia and Demetrios for a wonderful stay in your beautiful city!
Warm regards,
Jeff and Jacki

I would definitely stay at her place again.

Very well located apartment, one of the best rentals that I have rented. the place was immaculate. Sophia was there waiting for us at the apartment when we got to Athens and was very helpful and friendly, she has a very structured book with instruction on everything pertinent to the apartment and things to do and see in Athens and close to the apartment.
8.0
nicely decorated property close to eateries, not short but walkable to main tourist destinations. the front of the property, the lounge, is noisy due uphill and busy traffic. generally the property is good and property owner is helpful and easy to communicate, but entrance details to the apartment should be provided much earlier rather than on the day on our arrival as the email was not received due to network issue.
